Intake Ports for the Wankel Engine
Smělý, Jiří ; Beran, Martin (referee) ; Svída, David (advisor)
This master’s thesis deals with design of intake port for turbocharged Mazda 13B-T engine with Wankel-type rotating piston motion aiming for possible modifications leading to increase of performance parameters. The main objective of this thesis is to propose appropriate modifications in order to achieve increased torque in widest possible engine speed range.
Měření emisí pevných částic u vznětových motorů rozdílných emisních kategorií EURO
KAHUDA, Jan
This bachelor thesis deals with the issue of pollution of the environment by emissions of dust particles produced by engines of cars and also deals with the measurement of the concentration of dust particles emitted in the exhaust gases of diesel engines meeting the different EURO emission categories. Dust particles greatly pollute the environment and endanger human health as well as the lives of other animals and plants. The aim of this work was to find out the difference in the producing of dust particles in the exhaust gases of passenger car's diesel engines that meet the different emission EURO standards. Measurements were carried out using experimental preparation of own production - the measuring station. The dust particles concentration measurement was performed on four diesel engine passenger cars that meet the EURO 1, EURO 3, EURO 5 and EURO 6 emissions standards and while idling. The measuring device DUST TRAK 8530 from the TSI Incorporated company was used for measuring.
Re-design of biomass boiler for very wet fuel
Zbořil, Martin ; Skála, Zdeněk (referee) ; Lisý, Martin (advisor)
The aim of this thesis is to calculate the stoichiometric balance of boilers and boiler fuel for normal monture to 60%. Determine the monture, content depending on the conditions of the fuel in the combustion chamber and conditions of combustion. Experimental analysis of the current state of the boiler ZKG measurements using this device and propose modifications and solutions.
Optimization of Gases Flow in Exhaust System of Tractor Engine
Létal, Filip ; Svída, David (referee) ; Dundálek, Radim (advisor)
The subject of this thesis is to optimize the flow of exhaust gases in the particle filter using CFD simulations. The first part is focused on the emissions of diesel engines and emissions reduction systems with a focus on particulate filters. The next section is an analysis of the current state of the specified particle filter using CFD simulation and evaluation following with a proposal of new construction for better flow distribution. At last, the final evaluation is presented.
Application of Pressure Accumulator Injection System on CI Engine
Šiška, Adam ; Štěpánek, Karel (referee) ; Dundálek, Radim (advisor)
This master’s thesis deals with building the most modern injection systém Common-Rail for four-cylinder tractor diesel engine. The following application is a conversion from a obsolete system with inline injection pumps. Because the costs for this conversion must be minimized, that it is effort of minimal intervention in engine design. First this master’s thesis focuses on the theory of injection systems of diesel engines and related things and then the thesis shows the design conversion supported analytical calculations and FEM analysis of newly designed components.
Technology of Selective Catalytic Reduction
Kudlík, Michael ; Janoušek, Michal (referee) ; Dundálek, Radim (advisor)
This bachelor thesis is focused on technology of selective catalytic reduction. The technology was created as a result of introduction of strict emission limits which manufacturers with this technology reach. First part of this thesis deal with the composition of the exhaust gases, where are dismembered the various elements, and then are given here the European emission limits. Then is thesis focused on ways of reducing emissions of diesel engines which describes the function of exhaust gas recirculation and a function of selective catalytic reduction. Then are described development systems selective catalytic reduction. The conclusion consists of the use and application of Automobile Manufacturers.
Methodology and measurement of pollutants in the exhaust gases of passenger cars and their assessment according to EURO standards
Jantač, František ; Svída, David (referee) ; Beran, Martin (advisor)
The aim of this bachelor thesis is to get acquainted with the measurement methodology and the following evaluation of pollutants produced in exhaust gases in passenger cars according to EURO standards. The introducing part of this thesis focuses on different pollutants in exhaust gases, which are released into the atmosphere. The second part focuses on the individual legislative requirements. The closing part consists of the overview of the measurement of pollutants in exhaust gases, as well as their subsequent assessment according to EURO standards.
EURO 6 Emission Standards
Velešík, Aleš ; Prokop, Aleš (referee) ; Dundálek, Radim (advisor)
Bachelor´s thesis is focused on the approach the issue of Euro 6 emission standards. There is a general description of the tests, which the manufacturer must undertake and successfully complete to produce cars at this emission level. There is also a description of the harmful substances produced from the exhaust system of a car and an overview of the structural elements to reduce them. In conclusion, the reflection on the issue of emission standards and their constant tightening.
Possibilities of waste heat recovery from internal combustion engines
Křivák, Petr ; Pospíšil, Jiří (referee) ; Brázdil, Marian (advisor)
Increasing demands for vehicular traffic to reduce the environmental impact and consumption of fossil fuels, led an effort to increase the efficiency of the combustion process and the car as a whole. One way to achieve this is to use the waste heat of the combustion process, especially waste heat of exhaust gases. This heat can be converted into electrical energy. Consumption of electricity in modern cars is increasing. The presented work deals with the possibilities, how to using waste heat of exhaustgases from internal combustion engine. Focused on application of producing electricity. The paper analyzed the current state of car traffic, and then provides an overview of possible technological solutions using waste heat of exhaust gases. The main part is devoted to thermoelectric generators, their construction and possible design. In conclusion is made the energy balance with use thermoelectric generator.
Automotive Diagnostic Systems
Bůžek, Václav ; Beran, Martin (referee) ; Ramík, Pavel (advisor)
This thesis is written to make a review abstracting of contemporary systems of automotive diagnostics. It is aimed at the principles of serial and parallel diagnostics and informs about contemporary norms. It brings nearer the basics of used on-board diagnostic systems, including the diagnostics of its components. The thesis also exemplifies the practical functions and possibilities on the elementary diagnosing by using the diagnostic software SuperVag.
