Hutarová, Edita ; Štegmannová, Ingrid (advisor) ; Trpišovský, Milan (referee)
Ethical behavior is an inseparable part of business life and can have a major impact on corporate culture in business companies and their communication with clients. The aim of this work was to find out how the behavior of sales representatives of pharmaceutical companies in pharmaceutical pharmacies is perceived, to describe the ethical aspects in this field, and then to propose recommendations for adjusting internal rules, values or ethical code in a selected pharmaceutical company. This task was accomplished by carrying out qualitative research to analyze and deeper describe how pharmaceutical assistants in pharmacies perceive the behavior of sales representatives of pharmaceutical companies. In order to eliminate the identified circumstances in this field, the proposed recommendation for the selected company is a thorough knowledge of ethical principles and the incorporation of techniques into the training program of the company that focus on empathy is proposed. In conclusion, adherence to ethical principles and the right corporate culture in the company can be considered crucial in the context of successful cooperation between the sales representative and the pharmacy.
A journalist as a politician - case study of Martin Komárek
Davidová, Adéla ; Moravec, Václav (advisor) ; Osvaldová, Barbora (referee)
This bachelor thesis deals with the process of transition of professional journalists into active policy. By exploring a particular journalist, it tries to reach a general conclusion on what motivates journalists to become politics. The subject of the thesis is to place this phenomenon in the context of journalistic ethics and to find answers to whether it is possible to practice both professions at the same time - eventually in what form. The thesis is methodologically conducted as a case study and combines a thorough interview with content analysis. Martin Komárek, the main actor of case studies, has been a long-standing commentary of Mladá fronta, later Mladá fronta DNES. In 2013, he decided to leave the media and became a member of the political movement ANO 2011 founded by billionaire Andrej Babiš. It was Martin Komárek who criticized Babiš several times in his texts as a reporter. His change of opinion on Andrej Babiš was therefore a great surprise. Further examples of five selected journalists who made a similar decision as Martin Komárek did and entered into politics are given in the third part of the thesis.

Mackovičová, Michaela ; Rozehnal, Aleš (advisor) ; Patěk, Daniel (referee)
Ethical regulation of advertising Abstract This thesis deals with the regulation of ethical elements in advertising. Advertising is regulated by law, which protects the most important ethical interests of society that may be violated in advertising. In addition to this an important role is played by regulation standing outside the law, provided by the advertising industry itself. The aim of this paper is to analyze the current position of self-regulation of advertising in the Czech Republic and to assess whether the existing mechanisms are sufficient. This will be accomplished by illustrating the application of self-regulatory rules on specific adverts. The thesis is composed of four chapters. Chapter One defines the term advertising as a social phenomenon from a marketing practice perspective. The chapter focuses on definitions of this term provided by both national and European legislation. Chapter Two gives the definition of ethics as a theory of morality and the term good manners, which is mostly used in legal literature. After providing a brief outline of legal regulation of advertising Chapter Three analyses the most important self-regulatory body in the Czech Republic - the Czech Advertising Standards Council and its decision-making process. The thesis illustrates which ethical aspects are protected...

Bajzíková, Veronika ; Urban, Michal (advisor) ; Ondřejková, Jana (referee)
Ethical rules of conduct of judges in the Czech Republic This master thesis deals with ethical rules of conduct of judges in the Czech Republic. I chose the topic because in this area there is lack of scientific literature given to the topic of professional ethics in general and even less literature directly addressing the professional ethics of judges. The main objective of this thesis is to provide the most comprehensive picture of the professional ethics of judges in the Czech Republic and the resources on which it puts. The topic is brought to the reader within five chapters. The first chapter introduces the reader to the topic of ethics and its relation with morality and law and brings the view from the perspective of philosophy and legal theory. The second chapter deals with professional ethics and professional ethical codes, presents to the reader what the professional ethical code should be like. The content of the third chapter is in the first place to introduce the reader to the character and personality of the judge, his status in the legal system and, above all, the analysis of the professional ethics of judges. This chapter is the core of the work and in the analysis of various aspects of professional ethics draws on information acquired in the previous chapters. The main basis for this chapter...

Andreisová, Lucie ; Dědič, Jan (advisor) ; Boháček, Martin (referee) ; Lasák, Jan (referee)
The purpose of this dissertation is to provide its readers with a detailed and comprehensive look at the institute of duty of care, business judgment rule and related civil and partly also criminal liability of members of (not only) statutory bodies of capital business companies, and in this respect also to introduce an internal compliance program as one of the main instruments of good and effective corporate governance. The main objective of this dissertation is therefore to verify or refute the hypothesis whether, and if so in what particular form, can an internal compliance program be seen as an institute helping members of statutory bodies of capital business companies in fulfilling specific requirements and obligations of their duty to carry out the statutory function with due (managerial) care. The existence (implementation) of an internal compliance program is quite commonly connected with so called regulated markets and also with individual business corporations whose ownership structure extends the boundaries of the Czech Republic (typically British or American business corporations seated in the Czech Republic). But what about a wide neutral zone of Czech business corporations, i.e. especially small and medium-sized capital business companies? Shall these implement an internal compliance program as well? And, if so, on what grounds and with what benefits?
