Back pain of working people
ZELENKOVÁ, Benedikta
This bachelor thesis deals with low-back pain in patients who are mostly sitting at work. The thesis is divided into two main parts, theoretical and practical. In the theoretical part, the function, anatomy and kinesiology of the spine are first described. It also explains the deep stabilization system, its importance and its examinations. Further, most common causes of vertebrogenic problems are described and the word pain itself together with is explained. In this part, pain is divided into several categories. In conclusion, individual examinations and possibilities of therapy in back pain are described. Individual examinations are also included in kinesiological analyzes of all patients. The practical part of the thesis was done in a form of qualitative research. The examined group consists of three respondents men in between 45 and 55 years who were suitable figures for this work. Two patients were patients from rehabilitation center in Borovany where I had the opportunity to work with them and the third patient is a member of my family and I worked with him at home. This part consists of elaborated case studies of individual patients, proposed therapies and their description and physiotherapeutic examinations after all therapies. The main aim of this work was to describe the possibilities of physiotherapy treatment in people with sedentary job suffering from back pain. The second objective was to map the problem, propose suitable therapy, and then evaluate its effect. I met with patients six times in six weeks. I stressed the importance of proper posture while sitting, standing and lifting heavy loads. All patients were well educated on this issue. Crucial is also regularity of the proposed exercises, which all can be done at home. The success of the therapy was evaluated by subjective patient's assessment and by comparison of kinesiology carried out before the start and after the end of the whole therapy. This allows me to state that both objectives of the work have been met.
Spiral stabilization of spine and its use for vertebropaths
KOŘÍNKOVÁ, Lenka
This bachelor thesis deals with the issues of back pain and the possibilities of therapy "Spiral stabilization of spine". This thesis is divided in to a practical part and a theoretical part. The theoretical part contains in general descriptions of spine anatomy, functional and degenerative causes of pain and the most commonly used concepts applicable for treatment. The next charter of theteoretical part describes this method of treatment. In this part there are described basic muscular chains, general principles and exercises. The practical part was created as a qualitative research. This research includes four patiens with whom a therapy according to a course of 1A, B was carried out. The manual soft tissue treatment was included to this therapy. The practical part is consists of the description of used examination methods and cases which containing input and output examination and all about the course of therapy. The final inference is that this method is not suitable for all patients, because lots of people can not work with their own body. The practical part was ended by output examination of patients, which showed the changes of their posture. This bachelor thesis has two purposes. The first purpose is to describe the possibilities of physiotherapy in the vertebropathy treatment. The second purpose is to find out how this method"Spiral stabilization of spine", being used in therapy, will influence the condition of the patient. In my opinion both purposes were met.
Physiotherapy in pregnancy with a focus on a back pain
PAVLÍČKOVÁ, Tereza
This bachelor thesis deals with the theme of physiotherapy in pregnancy with a more detailed focus on back pain. In the bachelor thesis we can find changes that occur or may occur in pregnant women. Changes in metabolism, skin, alimentary canal, etc., but especially changes in the musculoskeletal system are included. These changes are the main theme of this bachelor thesis, which deals with the most frequent changes in the musculoskeletal system and their influence on the overall posture of a pregnant woman, but also on the whole body as such, which was one of the aims of my bachelor thesis. In the theoretical part can be found some physiotherapeutic methods, which can be used in pregnant women. Each of the selected methods contains a brief characteristic. Furthermore, in the theoretical part, the are physical activities that each patient can perform in their free time except of physiotherapy exercises. This part of the bachelor thesis is supplemented by moving activities that are not suitable for pregnant women and should ideally avoid them or, at least, minimize them. In the practical part I deal with four patients in the range of the second to third trimester. All examined patients suffered from back pain, ranging from mild to frequent and more severe pain especially in the lumbar region. Pains of cervical spine occurred only in one of the patients examined. Among other things, patients often emerged leg pains or ankle joints pains.
Prevention of postural defects in the population
Langmajerová, Jana ; Müllerová, Dana (advisor) ; Novák, Jaroslav (referee) ; Dlouhý, Pavel (referee)
This dissertation aims at verifying methodology used for somatographic evaluation of the shape and statics of the spine. The potential of the methodology verified lies in increased objectivity of upright body posture evaluation and thereby contributes to the specification of preventative measures for postural defects, and their consequences. Under a cross-sectional pilot study, a non-invasive somatographic method-a diagnostic DPT-3 system designated for spine shape diagnostics-was used to examine selected biomechanical parameters (spinal curves and statics in the sagittal plane in the upright position) in a total of 508 probands. Of this, 326 were school-age children and 182 adults. Among the key parameters monitored were: Cl (depth of cervical lordosis); LI (depth of lumbar lordosis); the sagittal balance of Cl/Ll, and VThk (distance of the peak of the thoracic kyphosis from the ideal verticals-IV). A questionnaire was used to evaluate the level of movement activity in probands and the relation between the occurrence of painful back and headaches and the measurement of biomechanical parameters and movement activity. A total of 81.3 % of children and 94.5 % of adults were found to have deviations from the biomechanically ideal posture model, which signals a postural defect. The values of the Cl (p...
Trunk muscle activity and walkin
Svobodová, Jaroslava ; Opálková, Michaela (advisor) ; Davídek, Pavel (referee)
Bakalářská práce Aktivita trupového svalstva při chůzi Abstract This thesis refers to the anatomy and the kinesiology of trunk, spine and pelvis. In addition, it deals with the control of gait and gait biomechanics. Nevertheless, the main aim of this thesis is to summarize the information on the activity of trunk muscles during walking. This includes also trunk muscle activity during modified walking. This part reviews the changes of trunk muscle activity in reaction to low back pain and to the changes in walking speed. Thesis is focused on the activity of abdominal and back muscles such as m. rectus abdominis, m. obliguus externus abdominis, m. obliguus internus abdominis, m. transversus abdominis and m. erector trunci. The thesis also includes a case study of a patient who suffers from chronic low back pain. The activity of some of her trunk muscles was recorded by surface electromyography. In addition, the patient was tested using the zebris Rehawalk FDM-T system.

1 Abstract Title: Exploitation of regular exercise based on the elements of developmental kinesiology for people suffering with back pain. Objectives: The aim of my diploma thesis was observing the effect of a group motional program based on tenets of developmental kinesiology for function of the motional system of clients suffering from back pain. Methods: The theoretical part of my diploma thesis was done with a method of literary recherché using technical literature, articles and studies. Experiment was chosen for the practical part, quasi in particular, which was complemented by method of qualitative research, personal case study in particular. There are two clinical casuistries paced in my thesis. There were two following methods for collecting data during my research: kinesiology analysis focused on anamnesis, check-up by sight, check-up by touch and functional probing (dynamic check-up of spine, diagnostically testing of deep stabilizing muscles.) Another methods used in my diploma thesis were assessments of pain with a usage of visual analogy scale and semi-structured interview. Pre-tests and post-test were identical. 10 people suffering from chronic back pain in an area of cervical spine or lumbar spine (5 clients suffering from chronic back pain in an area of lumbar spine and 5 clients suffering...

Végsöová, Petra ; Lopot, František (advisor) ; Jelen, Karel (referee)
Title: Analysis of plantar pressures distribution at patients after microdiscectomy L5/S1 Author: Petra Végsöová Objective: The topic of the thesis is to analyze distribution of plantar pressure at "broken" and "healthy" foot. The work is based on comparison of plantar pressure distribution on "broken and healthy" footprint in static position before and after intensive daily rehabilitation. Method of solution: Twelve 40-65 years-old individuals were chosen for the study. They were treated for L5/S1 microdiscectomy and rehabilitated daily at Rehabilitation clinic Malvazinky in Prague. This group of individuals was examined in two ways; by a physiotherapist, who analysed their state of health using kinesiology analysis, and by Plantograph V07, which is used for examination of state of pressure between sole of foot and miniature pressure sensors shaped in a grid. Three weeks of rehabilitation was ended by the same ways of examination used at the beginning of therapy. The results were processed and compared by a computer. Key words: back pain, radicular syndrome, microdiscectomy, radicular pain, analysis of plantar pressures, plantograph

Krokou, Anastasia ; Dudová, Agnieszka (advisor) ; Pavlů, Dagmar (referee)
Case study: Physiotherapy treatment of a patient with diagnosis of disc herniation and spondylolisthesis of L5-S1. Nazev: Fyzioterapie léčba pacienta s diagnózou herniace disku a spondylolistéza z L5-S1. Author: Anastasia Krokou Summary In this case study I negotiate the topic mentioned above and I quote the two main approaches. The theoretical approach with a close aspection to the functional and structural mechanism of the spinal column, combined to the biomechanical and kinesiological approach, focused more on lumbar spine, and the pathological disturbances that may arise in this region, in this case it will be about disc herniation. The other approach that completes my study work is the practical one and it concerns the application of rehabilitation and physiotherapy principles in order to treat the post-operative sequences that follow and how the treatment plan of short and long term of rehabilitation will look like. My bachelor's thesis practice took place in Ustředni Vojenská Nemocnice Praha during the period of 16.1-27.1 at the department of neurosurgery and also at the department of out coming patients. I used my knowledge that I gained these years while studying at Charles University at the department of Physiotherapy and applied for the best results according to the patients' situation....
