Using biofuels in air transport (legislation, measures)
Adámek, Petr ; Šplíchal, Miroslav (referee) ; Nastálek, Ondřej (advisor)
Bachelor thesis contains an overview of the legislation and measures of alternative fuels – biofuels and time mapping their development. Basic division of alternative fuels and focused on biofuels and their basic division and description technology of production, advantages and disadvantages compared to conventional fuels and making evaluation of preparedness for current and future using in civil aviation.
Verastile Sensor-based Experimental Platform
Tydor, Maximilián ; Ing. Vladimír Hubík, Ph.D. (Saab Czech s.r.o.) (referee) ; Šebesta, Jiří (advisor)
This document deals with issues of testing semiconductor inertial sensors like gyroscopes and accelerometers, but also other sensors like magnetometers, inclinometers and others for aviation navigation purposes where strict requirements cover every system. The goal of this thesis is to create modular test platform for testing wide variety of sensors in different combinations under variable circumstances. The development covers mechanical design, electrical design – hardware and also control algorithm – software.
Emergency responce planing in approved traning organization
Jedlička, Petr ; Švec, Michal (referee) ; Šplíchal, Miroslav (advisor)
This master‘s thesis is focused on the creation of the Emergency Response Plan (ERP) for an Approved Training Organisation (ATO). The first part of this thesis describes aviation organisations and other transport organisations that require Safety management system. The second part analyses requirements for documentation and regulations for applying Emergency Response Plan. In the third section there is an ERP general manual which helps ATO with the creation of the document. The last part contains the ERP created for a model ATO with the help of the general manual from the third chapter.
Effect of stress on pilot performance
Dedinský, Miroslav ; Zikmund, Pavel (referee) ; Šplíchal, Miroslav (advisor)
The main goal of this diploma thesis is to find out whether it is possible to measure stress during piloting. If so, it would be possible to develop systems that could help pilots in stressful situations and thus alleviate the stress, this would have great impact and possitively improve work performance. There are few similar studies in the field, the stress factors that affect the pilots and what physiological changes are observable in such situations. Finally, an experimental measurement is performed during three flights, which is aimed to demonstrate the information obtained and thus the possibility of measuring stress and the metod to do so.
Design of the procedures and maintenance system for the commercial operation of unmanned aircraft based on a comparison with the system of maintenance of aircraft in commercial operation (SEP, SP)
Barus, Viktor ; Chlebek, Jiří (referee) ; Hammer, Jaromír (advisor)
Aviation is entering a new era. Unmanned systems are increasingly more involved in the commercial sector of civil aviation and they are creating new challenges. This bachelor’s thesis deals with unmanned aircraft and their maintenance. The first chapter of the thesis describes goals, important terms and abbreviations. The second chapter focuses on unmanned aircraft systems (UAS), summarizing their history, categorization and rules. The third chapter briefly explains the maintenance of aircraft and the last chapter presents the maintenance procedures applied to unmanned systems in commercial operation.
Graphical Interface for Head-up Display
Pomikálek, Jiří ; Vlk, Jan (referee) ; Chudý, Peter (advisor)
This bachelor thesis addresses the visualization of flight data. The aim of the thesis is to design and implement the visual interface of a head-up display. Emphasis is placed on using the right symbology, maintaining the clarity of the flight information and simultaneously integrating application into a flight simulator with motion platform, using virtual reality technologies.
Current trends in the airline industry
A Tool for Sharing and Visualization of Skydiving Records
Madaj, Tomáš ; Kolář, Martin (referee) ; Herout, Adam (advisor)
Purpose of this work is to create a web application which would enable easiest possible 3D visualisation and sharing of uploaded GPS logs. It is intended mainly for aerosports. The application is built on the full-stack JavaScript platform Meteor.js, it features a web user interface and utilizes WebGL library three.js for 3D visualisations in browser. This form allows to achieve intended accessibility and simplicity of usage. The application is a valuable sports performance analysis tool. It brings accurate view of the actual trajectory in the sky where it's otherwise impossible due to the absence of a close visual reference point.
Aviation impact on global warming
Štarha, Adam ; Juračka, Jaroslav (referee) ; Zikmund, Pavel (advisor)
This bachelor‘s thesis deals with the issue of ever-increasing aviation emissions. It describes where greenhouse gases appear and what their excessive amount causes. Furthermore, this work deals with the comparison of emissions of individual modes of transport and the comparison of the benefits of individual modes of transport, especially air transport, through subsidies and tax relief in the EU.
Electronic Flight Bag for IPad
Černý, Tomáš ; Dittrich, Petr (referee) ; Chudý, Peter (advisor)
This thesis deals with the EFB systems, its standards, types and modes of operation. It describes the design and implementation of an Apple iPad application, intended to be used as an EFB by the Czech general aviation pilots. The real utilization of such application allows for simplification of the preflight check and safe execution of flight while removing the usual load of paper documents from the cockpit. This is achieved through a SW im- plementation of operationally attractive functions. It could be for example: searching in regulations and pilot's handbooks, acquisition and viewing of meteorological informations and recent changes in air traffic, interactive calculation of important parameters or flight navigation.
