Menstrual cycle and performance of female tennis players

Thesis Title: Menstrual cycle and efficiency of women tennis players. Thesis Objective: Based on structured interview to determine the re- lationships between the individual phases of the menstrual cycle and active sports activity in selected female tennis players (ČTS) ranking. Suggestion how to adapt tennis training individually to the menstrual cycle of female tennis players. Methods: The main research metod is structured interview. Results: Research has found, that there is a significant deterio- ration in the performance of female tennis players occurred during the first and the second day of menstruation. The best performances were felt by tennis players around ovulation (12th - 17th day of the cycle). The most common problem at female players was irregular menstruation an three tennis players also had amenorrhea, which is probably rela- ted to high training doses. For 4 respondents, there was a response that PMS did not affect their perfor- mance both in training and in matches. Other female players have fatigue and abdominal pain as a symptom of PMS. It has been shown, that female players do not adapt training if they have small pain, if they have big pain, they adapt training (for example playing strokes from the spot, technical skills). Title: Anticipation sources and interaction during the softball hitting. Objectives: The objectives of this diploma thesis are to explore what kinds of anticipatory resources elite softball players perceive and which ones they take into consideration when hitting against a pitcher. Methods: The data used in this diploma thesis were obtain by qualitative type of research specifically a case study. The sources of information for this case study are personal interviews between me and group of eight elite Czech softball players. The interviews had eight open questions and take from 25 to 40 minutes. The interviews were analysed with aim to gain some new knowledge that could be apply to similar cases. All of eight requested players are members of the Czech national team or Czech national team under 23. They are active players in age 25,5  3,5 years. This information is valid as of 2021. Results: In this diploma thesis were selected and described anticipation information sources, that provide a valuable information leading to anticipation of further pitch. Author: Vojtech Hedbavny Title: The effect of individual training in specialized goalie skating and skills on the speed of performing shuffle, T-push and slide in youth categories. Objectives: The aim of this bachelor's thesis is to test ice hockey goaltenders in the speed of their T-push, shuffle, and slide movements by creating a testing battery and training program, and subsequently comparing their results over a period of two months. Another objective is to determine whether the goaltender's age has an influence on the extent of the time change in the test. Methods: The research was conducted by testing nineteen ice hockey goalkeepers aged between eight and nineteen years. The entire experiment lasted for nine weeks during the competitive season. At the beginning of the first week, the initial testing took place, and at the end of the last week, the final testing occurred. Training stimulation took place during the nine weeks between the tests. Empirical quantitative research in the form of test measurements was used to gather data. Title: Specifics of tennis training for children with ADHD Objectives: The main objective of this study was to propose a set of educational-psychological recommendations and strategies for coaches and parents to maximize the effectiveness and positive effects of tennis training for children with the attention deficit hyperactivity disorder (ADHD). Methods: Three children with ADHD were observed during tennis training. The observation took place during a training session. This method allowed the author to collect data directly in the children's environment. In addition, a controlled structured interview based on ten prepared questions that focused on working with children with ADHD was conducted with a coach of the three children mentioned above. The interview related to working with children with ADHD, teaching strategies and the future of these children in tennis. The interview data were analyzed using the grounded theory, which helped to identify key aspects and patterns in the coach's responses. The results of these analyzes were used to create proposals for pedagogical strategies for working with children with ADHD in tennis. Nutrition and Supplementation in Fitness and Bodybuilding Abstract The topic of this master's thesis is "Nutrition and Supplementation in Fitness and Bodybuilding". Physical fitness is getting more and more popular and becoming a global industry. Young people tend to prefer gyms to other types of physical activities. The advantage of fitness workouts is that there is no age limit, provided the person is healthy, as evidenced by exercising individuals who are 15 years old but also senior citizens over the age of 65. The empirical part of the paper was conducted using a qualitative method, gathering respondents through snowball sampling where participants identify others. As many as 28 respondents were divided into two groups: people doing conditioning and bodybuilding whose characteristics are explained in the Operationalisation chapter. All respondents did a semi-structured interview and provided a three-day diet plan. The goal was to map eating habits and the most common diet plans of people doing conditioning and bodybuilding, and to discover supplements they use the most frequently. Title: Comparison of the Czech and Norwegian models of training preparation of national men's rowing teams Aims: To create an inspiring source of information for coaches and competitors based on the differences between the Norwegian and Czech models of sports training in rowing. This study should give coaches and athletes insight into the current sports training of the world's best rowers and provide a model for creating training plans. Methods: The present study is a comparative review aimed at mapping and comparing some of the performance factors in rowing. The research data is a record of training models of the Norwegian and Czech national men's rowing teams. In order to explore the given question, it was necessary to study a large number of different sources and professional publications that could be traced and studied in available databases and libraries, as well as records of racing teams and coaches working in the field of professional sport. Title: The influence of the athletic component of training on sports performance in the 100 m hurdles in fire sport Objectives: The aim of the diploma thesis is to find out the influence of the athletic components of training on sports performance in the 100 m hurdle in fire sport among a selected group of volunteer firefighters. Methods: 22 probands who are members of the volunteer fire department in Ústí Region were selected on the basis of volunteering. They were randomly divided into experimental group (n=11) and control group (n=11). Both groups measured the pretest in the 100 m hurdles. Then experimental group completed an 8-week training intervention containing athletic training elements together with elements of the technique of the 100 m hurdles. The control group trained only the technique of the discipline without the predetermined training intervention, but the same frequency as the experimental group. After the training intervention was completed, the posttest in the 100 m hurdles race was measured for both groups. The measured results were statistically processed in the IBM SPSS Statistics 25.0 program using the two-way ANOVA test, the Student's t-test and the Mann-Whitney U test. Methods facilitating the adaptation of children in a sports team

The bachelor's thesis deals with methods facilitating the adaptation of children in a sports gymnastics team. The theoretical part explains what the concept of adaptation is, describes the socialization aspects of sport and the factors that influence adaptation. It also introduces the project of "Tygří svět" (Tiger World) and describes the principles on which this project works. The practical part presents research which took place in the gymnastics team which uses the methods of the Tiger World project. The basis of these methods is proper communication, thanks to communication types that make communi?cation much easier. The adaptation process of two new members of the gymnastics team is described based on observations that took place over the period of 6 months.
Case study of amateur tennis players

Title: A case study of amateur tennis players Objectives: The aim of the bachelor thesis is to evaluate the degree of improvement of tennis technique and accuracy of tennis strokes in pre-selected amateur tennis players. Methods: The first used method was the data collection method using an online survey, the method of direct observation of the players during training units was used to obtain partial results and the third method was testing, which took place at the beginning and end of the training period using the "ITN On Court Assessment". Results: Both players improved their technique and the accuracy of their tennis strokes. Player #1 improved his stroke accuracy by 1 whole level in the "ITN On Court Assessment". In the first testing (at the beginning of the training period) the player scored 126 points, while in the testing at the end of the training period he scored 172 points. Player 2's improvement in stroke accuracy was less, scoring 162 points in the first testing and 175 points in the testing at the end of the training period. Player 2's stroke technique improved twice as much. Players gained awareness of the game of tennis, know the basic rules of the game and know how they should move on the court.
