The relationship between burnout and social support at school

This diploma thesis deals with the burnout syndrome in primary school teachers. The field of interest of this thesis is the relation between the burnout syndrome and the social support offered by individual schools. It primarily focuses on formal activities at schools that assist with the social support which works as a prevention of the burnout syndrome development. The submitted work consists of two parts - theoretical and practical. The theoretical part defines the most important terms linked with the burnout syndrome. Primarily stress, one of the main causes of the burnout syndrome and its effect on the human health. Secondarily the burnout syndrome itself, the concept thereof, causes and symptoms and lastly its phases. In the next chapter, stress and the burnout syndrome in the teaching profession are described, followed by possibilities of their prevention. The last chapter of the theoretical part is then concerned with the specific formal activities for assistance with the professional social support. The results of research in two schools, chosen based on the different number of formal activities, are presented in the practical part. Children and Parents in Divorce

The thesis deals with children and parents during divorce. The main goal is to identify the problems that young adults faced in their childhood during the divorce of their parents. The theoretical part is divided into two chapters and it concerns marriage, family and its function. The second part is based on specialized literature and it describes divorce, divorce rate in the Czech Republic and its cause, further impacts of divorce on parents, children and also the role of social workers in this matter. The practical part is created by the qualitative research and data that were collected by the method of interviewing. The semistructured interview was done with the six respondents who exeperienced divorce of their parents during childhood. The data were analyzed by open coding and by processing of these codes and categories it was possible to answer the hypothesis of this work. It concerned the identification of problems that respondents dealt with, and also the determination of people who provided them with social support during and after the divorce.
Psychological aspects of dealing with traumatic amputation

This bachelor's thesis is concerned with dealing with traumatic incident by people with amputate lower limb. Thesis is divided into theoretical and empirical part. The theoretical one explains definition of amputation and its effect on life of individual. Also interprets the term of trauma, phases of dealing with trauma and types of post-traumatic disorders. There are also clarify aspects which can be found in process of dealing with serious life change as social support, processing of incident, body image and existential fears, in this bachelor's thesis. The empirical part explains methodology of research and shows results of qualitative attitude, where is choosen semi-structured interview as a main method of data collecting. Explorational complex was made with four respondents, who underwent traumatic incident and lost lower limb. Main objective was to explore, which aspects are after lost of lower limb the most important for individual to comeback into regular life and acceptance own handicap. Gained data were analysed due to open encoding and then interpret. Results shows many of aspects which traumatized individuals helps and also aspects which make their situation harder.
Social Support for Families with Handicapped Children

Subjective experience of perinatal loss by midwives

This Bachelor thesis deal with the topic of subjective experiencing of the loss during the delivery from the sight of midwifes. The main goal is to identify the basic spectrum of emotions and feelings related to the problematics. There are established other partial goals and research questions, which cover factors that influence providing care, strategies to handle stressful situations, psychological hygiene of the midwifes, the importence of supervision and its implementation to the praxis, burn-out syndrome in helping professions and personal experiences with this fenomen. Furthermore, there are created suggestions for practice, which alert on absence of attetion to the medical staff and comprise options, how to work in area of this problematic. Interviews in qualitative research, providing us elementary idea about problematic of the reliving attached to care of a woman during perinatal loss. Results show us that even that this process is really mentally tough, midwifes don't look for professional help. They try to solve stress situations on they own reflexion or with help from their community. In the sphere of psychic hygiene, is effort for increasing toughness and maintain mental balanc with many types of freetime activities or any other relaxation techniques. Lifestyle diseases, their causes and prevention.

My bachelor thesis dealt with the issues of lifestyle diseases. The objective of this work was to use a questionnaire survey to find out whether and how the people are informed about these diseases. If they know causes related to them and how they try to prevent from them. I also was wondering whether the people on the basis of their age and their maximal attained educational are differently informed about these diseases. Aims of this work were completed fulfilled and the results showed that the respondents who were used in my questionnaire are sufficiently informed about these diseases and their prevention which they predominantly respect. As emerged from the work it would be appropriate to ensure that the society continues to be well - informed about these diseases. I personally would wish that people of all ages to regularly and consciously pay primarily attention to precautions of a healthy lifestyle which is the basis of prevention of lifestyle diseases.
Factors Influencing the Success of Public Collections in the South Bohemian Region

This thesis describes the South-Bohemian public fund-raising campaigns running from 2001 to 2015. In particular, it deals with their organizers and goals and highlights some of the main factors influencing their success. The goal of this thesis is what motivates and attracts donors the most. There are some questions to be answered: Are the donors willing to financially support other people in need from their neighbourhood or organizations that help children, handicapped or elderly people? Do people rather support protection of landmarks or abandoned animals? Do donors help because of their own publicity purposes or pleasure? This work focuses on the public funds as one of the most used social support to find out the recent trends the intensity and frequency of financial amounts. The main data source for my work is the South-Bohemian Register of the public fund-raising campaigns. The specific recent campaigns are presented and their outcomes, frequency, intensity, goals and donors are compared, considering mainly their success. All the data are investigated thoroughly by means of quantitative secondary analysis.
Social Support in Old Age

This bachelor thesis is focused on social support of seniors in the Light a house for seniors, a branch office in Písek. The main objective is to map the levels of social support (micro-, intermediate and macro level) and its types in terms of content (emotional, evaluating, information and instrumental support). The thesis is divided into two consecutive parts, i.e. a theoretical and a practical part. The theoretical part explains, with the help of specialized literature, the definition of basic terms such as aging, age and seniority, social determinants of health, social support and human needs. Social work is also mentioned in this chapter. At the end of the theoretical part, a funded organization Light a house for seniors, a branch office in Písek, where the research took place, is presented. The practical part of the bachelor thesis focuses on answering the main and sectional research questions. For the research, a qualitative research strategy which was conducted using the method of asking and the semi-standardized interview technique, was chosen. The data collected was analyzed via categorization of data and then it was presented using tables and charts.The research was done within a group of 8 informants, using the service of the senior house Light, in Písek. Based on the received information was found out, that the informants are quite satisfied with fulfilling the social needs with help of social support, even if they think that the social support are only administrative tasks, or arranging compensatory or medical aids. For the closest people the informants consider their family members. The needs of seniors are mostly fulfilled by social workers. The results of the bachelor thesis can be used in the senior house Light, the branch office in Písek, as a feedback for employees or as a guide for improving the quality of care.
