Design of the winglet on the wing of Z 143 LSi airplane
Venerová, Zora ; Navrátil, Jan (referee) ; Píštěk, Antonín (advisor)
This bachelor’s thesis deals with a conceptual design of a winglet for ZLIN Z 143 LSi aircraft. The introduction contains descritption of the airplane and basics of winglet theory. In the second part are possible conceptions, choice of materials and manufacturing processes. Furthermore, there is calculation the spars and conclusion.
Design of R1-Class Racing Car
Bureš, David ; Blaťák, Ondřej (referee) ; Hejtmánek, Petr (advisor)
The goal of this thesis is to create a conceptual design of a rally car in Ra5 (former R1) category. The thesis contains interpretation of regulations, overview of former cars in this category and requirements for such vehicle. The thesis describes choice of vehicle and description of modifications, including specific components. The thesis also describes construction of several designs of rollcage, which were mutually compared, and their homologation tests. The thesis also determines small series price of such vehicle.
Design concept three wheel small utility vehicle
Ambrož, Petr ; Píštěk, Václav (referee) ; Rasch, František (advisor)
This diploma thesis deals with design concept of three wheel small utility vehicle with curb weight 300kg. At the beginning is short description of some similar vehicles. Analyses of used concepts and descriptions of constructions parts have preceded their choice. Then is created 3D model in PRO Engineer and calculations of driving output and stress analyses are based on it. In design concept is accent putted on ergonomics, look, practical utilization and manufacturability.
Design of light four-seater aircraft
Mikulášek, Miloš ; Vaněk, František (referee) ; Píštěk, Antonín (advisor)
This master‘s thesis is focused on the design of four-seat metal aircraft with low take-off weight in accordance with CS-23. Main dimensions of aircraft are designed, weight analysis, aerodynamic characteristics and flight performance are calculated in this thesis. In conclusion, the estimated costs of development and production are determined.
Marabu VUT 001 Aircraft Conceptual Design according to CS-22 Regulation
Navrátil, Jan ; Daněk, Vladimír (referee) ; Popela, Robert (advisor)
Thesis summarizes conceptual design of VUT 001 Marabu airplane modification to fulfill CS-22 regulation requirements. Aerodynamical optimalization of wing and horizontal tail geometry is solved. Aerodynamical characteristics, performance and stability is analysed and basic structural design of wing and horizontal tail is performed.
Airborne wind energy system
Killioglu, Can ; Popela, Robert (referee) ; Zikmund, Pavel (advisor)
The master's thesis deals with the issue of flying wind turbines, which is an innovative area of renewable energy. The main advantage of these power plants over conventional wind turbines is their ability to reach higher altitudes and thus take advantage of stronger wind conditions. An important part of the thesis is the aerodynamic analysis of the rotor in autorotation mode, which investigates the behaviour of the propeller rotor. Furthermore, the conceptual and structural design of a selected type of flying wind turbine is carried out.
Design of unmanned „Loyal wingman“ aircraft
Venerová, Zora ; Dubnický, Lukáš (referee) ; Bartoněk, Jaroslav (advisor)
The aim of the thesis is to research unmanned aircraft of the Loyal Wingman category and subsequently design a concept for a custom unmanned vehicle to support light combat aircraft. For this purpose, the thesis provides a detailed analysis of existing and developing types in its first part. The second part establishes requirements derived from purpose, missions, and standards. The third part focuses on designing the configuration and the influences affecting it, defining initial dimensions supported by CAD model visualization, and conducting a weight analysis and structural balance of the aircraft.
Crawler RC robotic vehicle
Daneš, Filip ; Frühbauer, Jiří (referee) ; Kašpárek, Jaroslav (advisor)
The bachelor´s Thesis deals with a design of a crawler remote controlled robotic vehicle. The conception is based on a critical research and set pre-stated parameters. The basic conception design was followed up by dimensions and performance calculations creating a foundation for the ultimate 3D model of the crawler vehicle. The thesis describes individual parts and their design solution in detail as well as selected check strength calculations. Designed model meets the pre-set parameters.
Design of a test rig for the development of gears for passenger car applications
Běloušek, Ondřej ; Řehák, Kamil (referee) ; Czakó, Alexander (advisor)
This thesis is aimed to design of test rig which serves for measuring of vibro-acoustic characteristics of gears used in automotive gearboxes. In the theoretical part, the basic principles of initiated vibrations caused by gear meshing are described, especially due to transmission error as an important parameter. Next part of the paper is dedicated to description of experimental approach used in measuring of this characteristic and evaluation of used conceptual designs is also included. Own designed closed loop test rig allows to measure static transmission error of various sizes of gears even if the shafts are not parallel under the specific operating range. The main part of the design is measuring bench, whose developmental phases are shown, and which carries all important components for the measurement. Thesis also includes modal analysis of those constructions performed in ANSYS Workbench. The main parts of closed loop are described in details and static structural analysis of torsional loading device is done. Final part of the thesis compares analytical versus numerical approach to calculate safety factor of the critical point of a chosen shaft.
Design of gear coupling
Kundýsek, Michal ; Prokop, Aleš (referee) ; Řehák, Kamil (advisor)
The content of the diploma thesis is the construction of a toothed coupling for general use. The coupling was first described in order to acquaint the reader with the issue of the coupling. After approaching the issue, a practical part was created, which dealt with the conceptual design of the gear coupling. Two gear coupling designs have been developed to take into account as many customer requirements as possible. After making the model, strength calculations were created to verify the functionality of the coupling. The calculations mainly concerned important components for the operation of the clutch.
