The redesign of the compressor for electromotor driving
Mikulka, Vít ; Venclík, Jiří (referee) ; Mazůrek, Ivan (advisor)
This bachelor thesis deals with redesign of the compressor for electromotor driving. First part focuses on the principle of compressors, their development and division. The next part describes a compressor MK 100 produced by Benda kompresory Ltd. company. The technical solution of its redesign for 2,2kW electromotor propulsion with maintaining a rotation speed mode of original Honda engine is explained in the last part. This compressor should be used in its redesign version at FME BUT in Brno.
Brake mean effective pressure of an internal-combustion engine for passengers cars and motorcycles
Vopršal, Oldřich ; Svída, David (referee) ; Drápal, Lubomír (advisor)
The aim of this work is to discuss the meaning, definition and mapping of the characteristics of the value of the mean effective pressure depending on the historical development of internal combustion engines of automobiles and motorcycles from the initial concepts to the current development. In this work I want to compare and evaluate the values of the mean effective pressure for non-supercharged and supercharged piston combustion cars and motorcycles. Part of the work will be a graphical representation of the values of mean effective pressures and subsequent analysis and evaluation of the values against the design concept of the internal combustion engine in the historical period. Furthermore, a description of the structural elements that contribute to the increase of the mean effective pressure.
Non-traditional Motorcycle Conception
Brezanský, Vít ; Drápal, Lubomír (referee) ; Beran, Martin (advisor)
The goal of the thesis is to introduce some interesting and non-traditional conceptions of motorcycles from the present and also from previous years. In every part reasons are described that led producers of these motorcycles to design conceptions that might be perceived as almost absurd. However not every one of them was forgotten and some succeeded on the roads and race tracks, others will be perhaps successful in a few years. Every part also includes a description of the construction and function followed by the assessment of individual solutions according to their justification, realization, number of pieces sold or race results.
Application of anti-friction bearings for four-stroke internal combustion engines
Knotek, Jiří ; Svída, David (referee) ; Drápal, Lubomír (advisor)
This thesis is concerned with the anti-friction bearings and their application in the construction of the four-stroke cycle internal combustion engine. Thesis consists of several parts. The first one is concerned with the anti-friction bearings themselves. This part provides basics of theory of the anti-friction bearings needed in the next parts. In the next part is described the use of the anti-friction bearings in the internal combustion engine. Last part is concerned with the use of the anti-friction bearings in the construction of the four-stroke cycle internal combustion engine. There is described mounting of crankshaft, connecting rod, camshaft, balancer shaft and turbocharger.
Hydrogen fuel for internal combustion engines
Polnický, Václav ; Novotný, Pavel (referee) ; Píštěk, Václav (advisor)
Knowledge of all ower the world research, dealing with hydrogen combustion engines, were sumarized in this bachelor thesis. Ways of hydrogen production and its storing are mentioned too. This paper is focused especially to hydrogen-air mixture formation and its ignition solving. Some samples of hydrogen cars –booth of prototypes and serial products- were introduced too.
Small one-cylinder internal combustion engines
Smolka, Josef ; Kučera, Pavel (referee) ; Píštěk, Václav (advisor)
The content of this thesis is getting to know the reader with the technical solutions in the field of small single cylinder engines and a brief overview of alternative fuels for petrol engines. The main objective is to offer a comprehensive overview of available engines and their parameters.
Design of an Internal Combustion Engine for Small Autonomous Devices
Celý, Martin ; Beran, Martin (referee) ; Svída, David (advisor)
The work deals with the design and calculation of the basic components of a small combustion engine up to 5 cm3 for currently used smaller-sized vehicles. It includes an analysis and comparison of available drives for these devices and a more detailed analysis of the use of the combustion drive. In the next part, it proposes basic engine parameters and then design of individual basic dimensions of piston, connecting rod and crankshaft. The conclusion of the thesis is a basic strength calculation of critical points.
Noise Generated by Turbochargers of Internal Combustion Engines
Kříž, Radim ; Novotný, Pavel (referee) ; Doman, Jozef (advisor)
This bachelor thesis is focused on generated noise by turbochargers of internal combus-tion engines. First, construction of turbochargers is described. The next part deals with the term sound and after that the issue of the noise in turbochargers follows. Consequent there are characterized experimental and simulation methods for determining the noise. The last part is focused on design modifications of turbocharger’s parts. The goal of this thesis is make research about origin of the noise by turbocharger during working conditions and design modifications which affect the noise.
Electronic supercharger for Formula Student
Matoušek, Patrik ; Šebela, Kamil (referee) ; Janoušek, Michal (advisor)
The main goal of this diploma thesis is to verify the application of the Electric compressor in the Formula Student monopost category. Diploma thesis is focused on the computational model and analysis of the combustion engine in the GT-POWER software. Outputs from this calculation are used for the design of the main parameters of battery pack. In the final part of the thesis, the monoposts with ordinary turbocharger and with the electric compressor are compared in the lap time simulation in the Autocross discipline.
Powertrain of a modern hybrid vehicles
Novák, Štěpán ; Zajac, Roman (referee) ; Otipka, Václav (advisor)
This bachelor’s thesis is about the drivetrain in modern hybrid vehicles. It describes the function of a hybrid drivetrain and divides it according to structure, degree of hybridization and placement of the electric motor. It characterizes the design solution of the main components of a hybrid drivetrain. It focuses on the powertrain of selected hybrid vehicles and describes the emissions issue. The conclusion consists of evaluation of the hybrid drivetrain and its vision for the future.
