Multi-Objective Partical Swarm Optimization
Benčok, Tomáš ; Žaloudek, Luděk (referee) ; Sekanina, Lukáš (advisor)
This bachelor work deals with the difficulties of multi-objective optimization of certain hard mathematical functions and non-traditional approaches for discovering their extremes. Main attention is given to the PSO (Particle Swarm Optimization) algorithm, implementation of which is also part of the bachelor work. The algorithm is modified in a such way, that it automatically builds Pareto-Optimal Set of the solutions. It's performance is compared with NSGA-II genetic algorithm on several test tasks.
TRY ME!
Kopecká, Johana ; Jiroušková, Veronika Velčovská (referee) ; Tobola, Ondřej (advisor)
My bachelor project entitled "Try Me" is based on the concepts of aesthetics versus function. The project aims to create a product based on a textile material study. My emphasis is on the interplay between the functional and aesthetic aspects of the final product.
Socio-cultural centre with townhall for the district Brno-Kohoutovice
Iarmolinska, Violetta ; Antl, Roman (referee) ; Ruller, Ivan (advisor)
Chosen territory is located on the Libušina street, Brno - Kohoutovice. Socio-kultural center with townhall will serve as the dominant of district. Due to its shape, which is growing up, it reflects the character of the surrounding high-rise buildings. Entrance to the building is concentrated in one space, the communication part, which connects two masses - the town hall and socio-cultural center. Office space is structured around the perimeter of the building and also organized as a contact point with the society, due to glass partitions. The interior space of the town hall is lighted by glass atrium that allows sunlight penetrates to the whole building. Socio-kultural center with townhall is an expressive architectural element and includes three functions: culture, recreation and sport. The main part of the building is the multifunctional hall, that is used for such purposes as big celebrations, performances, music and dance events and film screenings. The idea to create the function of sport is based on interview and wishes of the local inhabitants. The restaurant, library and a recreation space have large glass windows, which allows visual connection between the interior and exterior and creates a pleasant aesthetic impression.
Function block for Simatic, Sinamics devices applied in position applications
Hložek, Vojtěch ; Pásek, Jan (referee) ; Štohl, Radek (advisor)
The objective of this Bachelor's thesis was to make a series of function blocks and functions which would establish a communication between the programmable logic controller (PLC) Siemens S7-300 and the drive system Siemens Sinamics S120 through Profinet or Profibus and datagrams. The function blocks adjust the datagram parameters through which we can control motors connected to a drive system. The functions were made for easy and fast control of the basic motor operations (startup, shutdown, etc.) . The thesis includes a definition of a used software, hardware and the algorithms of the function blocks and functions.
Perlin noise functions for generation of textures
Jakubíková, Radka ; Sysel, Petr (referee) ; Rajmic, Pavel (advisor)
This work deals with Perlin noise function in theoretical and practical way. Procedural textures can be generated by Perlin noise function. Perlin´s algorithm has many advantages, for example natural appearance, smaller demands on memory capacity and possibility of simple application on cubic objects. It is for these reasons that this technique is widely used nowadays in many varieties and improvements. We can meet these kind of textures mainly in computer games or animated movies. It is possible to create procedural textures by Perlin noise function so that they look like marble, wood or grass. Examples of these textures are generated by a program which is in the practical part of this work. The program was designed for simple presentation of procedural textures made by Perlin noise. Program can be operated via user interface, where the user can change some parameters which affect the look of the texture. The program can be used for presentation of Perlin noise to students.
Urbanistic analysis of the city with a focus on public spaces
Svobodová, Lucie ; Hybská, Bohumila (referee) ; Májek, Jan (advisor)
The bachelor thesis is focused on the urbanistic principles for a planning cities with the focus on functionality of a public space, human feelings in the city, urbanistic analysis and progresses in the public space. Further the work researches an ideas of significant urban planners with an effort to apply thies principles on Brno.
LabVIEW drivers for resistor decade
Procházka, Matěj ; Čala, Martin (referee) ; Havlíková, Marie (advisor)
This bachelor's thesis deals with description resistance decade M63x and M64x from Meatest company. I described functions and possibilities of remote access. Further are described how it's developed instrument driver in LabVIEW. At the end is cited how I conduct with testing this driver.
Localization of a Moving Target using a MIMO Radar System
Šulc, Martin ; Vychodil, Petr (referee) ; Škorpil, Vladislav (advisor)
The aim of this thesis is to estimate parameters of the moving target using different radar configurations. First the Doppler effect and the time delay of the received signal is examined. The investigation of these phenomenons is made for radial and non-radial movement of simple monostatic radar configuration and after that for the bistatic and multistatic MIMO configuration. The ambiguity function is presented for all these configurations. The ambiguity function is then used to estimate target parameters from the received signal. The received signal model and ambiguity function for the monostatic radar configuration is developed using Matlab software. Finally the practical use of these implementations is presented and compared.
Comprehensive urban analysis of selected public public space
Bakalová, Lucie ; Šimková,, Hana (referee) ; Májek, Jan (advisor)
The main topic of this bachelor thesis is public space. The thesis consists of an analysis of public space, its description and an analysis of popular types of public spaces. The theoretic part of the thesis is mostly based on ideas and opinions of a Danish architect and urbanist Jan Gehl, who not only connects the physical perceives of public space, but mostly he places importance on psychological perceives of a human being, which occupies that public space and also his behavior in the given space. In the opening part the thesis focuses on the definition of public space, its denotation in Czech legislation and points out general examples. In the main part the thesis focuses on the usage of a public space and its appropriate planning. The following practical part consists of an analysis of an existing public space, where the goal is to evaluate and propose changes for improvement at the given public space. The analysis is applied to the city of Bystřice pod Hostýnem.
