Proposal for Expansion of the Portfolio of an Exchange Traded Fund with European Technology Stocks

This diploma thesis deals with expansion of the ETF portfolio in order to meet the requirements of the fund while complying with their valid statue. The first part of the work is theoretical research of all discussed concepts, methods and indicators used in other parts of the work. In the practical part, indicators of companies are analyzed, then they are compared with each other and then verified using a bankruptcy model. Based on the above, a proposal is then presented to expand the ETF with specifically selected shares of the analyzed companies.

A financial plan of business development

The diploma thesis focuses on designing the corporate financial plan of the manufacturing company MANN+HUMMEL v.o.s., and it is divided into three main parts. The first part contains the theoretical background and the necessary methodology for the design of the plan. In the second part the selected company is introduced and then the financial and strategic analysis is performed. In the final part, a prediction of the company's financial plan for the period 2023 to 2026 is made and its evaluation is carried out using selected financial ratios, Altman index and sensitivity analysis.

The bachelor‘s thesis deals with the evaluation of the economics of a selected non-profit organization, contribution organization Mateřská škola Lištička. The first part defines aims of the thesis and the methods used, then it presents theoretical part including the basic terms associated with non-profit organisations. Third part comprises the analysis of the current economic of the organization and overall assessment of the financial situation. In the last part based on the analysis it presents suggestions for improving the financial situation of the organization.

The bachelor thesis is focused on the evaluation of the financial situation of ZAT a.s. in the years 2018 to 2022. The thesis is divided into three parts. In the first theoretical part, the thesis explains the theoretical concepts and background of the thesis. In the second practical part, the thesis deals with the introduction of the company and its financial analysis. In the last propositional part, based on the financial weaknesses found in the practical part, proposals are formulated to mitigate these weaknesses leading to an improvement of the financial situation.

The performance of the company is assessed for the period from 2018 to 2022 using financial analysis tools and analysis of the external environment. The thesis consists of a theoretical part, which includes a description of specific methods and procedures for conducting the analysis, and a practical part, where these procedures are applied. In conclusion, these analyses are evaluated, and adequate improvement suggestions are made for any insufficient values.

Stocks are verified using Altman's Z-score, and the results are utilized to propose portfolio expansion.

The output of this master´s thesis is a financial plan proposal for the company Služby města Jihlavy, s.r.o. for the period 2023-2026. The thesis is divided into three main parts. The theoretical section provides a comprehensive overview of fundamental concepts, methods, and techniques associated with financial planning and analysis. The second, analytical part, is dedicated to presenting the company and conducting its strategic and financial analysis, including the use of absolute, differential, and ratio indicators, as well as a comprehensive evaluation index. A comprehensive financial plan based on previous analyses is compiled in the final section which includes predictions of sales, costs, investments, and other relevant financial items.
