Crank Train of a V8 racing engine
Fried, Tomáš ; Píštěk, Václav (referee) ; Drápal, Lubomír (advisor)
This thesis deals with the design of a crankshaft for a high power racing engine using modern technology. It covers all of the steps from a brief research, design, torsional vibration analysis to fatigue calculation using FEA and MBS models.
Analysis of the use of Code_Aster in solving the limit state of fatigue strength
Busta, Michal ; Kovář, Jaroslav (referee) ; Vosynek, Petr (advisor)
This bachelor’s thesis deals with the analysis of the use of Code_Aster in the calculations of the limit state of fatigue strength. The first part is the research in fatigue analysis using the solver Code_Aster and in the second part the know-how of Code_Aster usage is used to solve three tasks of the limit state of fatigue strength. Acquired results are compared with analytical solutions and with the student licence of the numerical software Ansys Workbench 19.2. In conclusion, all the results are analysed.
Evaluation of mechanical characteristics of shape memory alloys under cyclic loading in torsion
German, Roman ; Štěpánek, Roman (referee) ; Horníková, Jana (advisor)
The main aim of this thesis is to process the results of fatigue tests of wires of a NiTi shape memory alloy subjected to symmetric cyclic torsion. The first part of this work is dedicated to literature research about NiTi alloys, their response to cyclic loading and the specific features of torsion loading. The second part contains a review of the influence of heat treatment and strain amplitude on the ability to dissipate mechanical energy, changes in mechanical properties and fatigue life of the tested material.
Comparative study of different approaches to assessment of endurance limit of a real body
Netopil, Vladimír ; Fedorova, Svitlana (referee) ; Novák, Kamil (advisor)
The aim of this bachelor thesis is to compare different approaches to assessment of endurance limit of a real body. In the area of the high-cycle fatigue are the nominal stress conception and conception from the book Mechanical Engineering Design. At first, the reader will acquaint with both the approaches and then the approaches will be compared to examples in practice.
Safe-life extension program for ZLIN Z 126 and 226 airplanes
Jančář, Milan ; Juračka, Jaroslav (referee) ; Augustin, Petr (advisor)
This master's thesis discusses the possibilities of safe-life extension program for ZLIN Z 126 and 226 airplanes, which despite their age and long-end production are still widespread and popular not only in the Czech Republic. The age of these aircraft is also related to the fact, that some aircraft are already approaching its border life, so there is an interest for the longest possible technical and legislative airworthiness. As mentioned in my bachelor's thesis, during the existence of this model series, there was no major damage occurred, except for sporadic exfoliation corrosion of wing flanges. Experience with maintenance of this aircraft points to certain underestimation of the current 5500hrs lifetime and it is obvious to suggest possible steps to increase the current limit. The thesis is therefore considered in this context the possibility of producing new wing flanges made of another material, performed the calculation for wing fatigue exchanged with flanges and designed technological process of this exchange, so that ZLIN Z 126 and 226 airplanes can be safely operated in the future.
The role of material sciences in solving the problems technical accidents
Tonkovič, Miroslav ; Řičánková, Veronika (referee) ; Klakurková, Lenka (advisor)
Material sciences plays an irreplaceable role in explanation of various technical accidents. The proposed work focuses on examples of sever chosen technical accidents in which the knowledge of materials science was crucial in use and help to solve them. Description of an incident is stated to particular cases as well as results of these investigations, taking in mind the given topis of proposed work. The accidents are always described with necessary theoretical basis connected to each particular issue. Its knowledge was undoubtedly essential in solving the accident. The end of the work is a summary of the most frequent causes of technical accidents.
Analysis of crab frame of bridge magnet crane 15t 27,5m
Strommer, Bohumír ; Kolář, Pavel (referee) ; Pokorný, Přemysl (advisor)
The diploma thesis deals with crab frame of bridge magnet crane with lifting capacity 15t used in steel mill for handling billets. Thesis contains strength analysis and fatigue strength check of crab frame based on ČSN EN 13001. Strength analyses are made by using beam and shell models of finite element method. The diploma thesis was carried out in cooperation with Královopolská a.s. company.
Bituminous mixture desing with the use of 30 % reclaimed asphalt and its functional evaluation
Horáček, Daniel ; Šperka, Pavel (referee) ; Kudrna, Jan (advisor)
The aim of my bachelor thesis is to design asphalt mixture with a higher lifetime (mixture of type VMT 16) and its subsequent assessment by selected functional tests. VMT blends are used for load and underlayer layers of roads with higher transport loads. The main idea of this bachelor thesis is the design of an asphalt mixture consisting of natural aggregates, recycled asphalt mixtures and crumb rubber modified bitumen, yet retaining good road-holding properties. The use of recyclable bituminous mixtures will allow the recycling of bent or milled asphalt layers, which is currently high in surplus, and will allow the overall cost of building new high-quality asphalt layers to be reduced. The bachelor thesis describes the empirical and functional tests performed, according to which the resulting asphalt mixture was designed, and the results compared with the TP151 Asphalt mixture with high modulus of stiffness (VMT).
Human factor in the aircraft operations
Dostál, Tomáš ; Raudenský, Miroslav (referee) ; Daněk, Vladimír (advisor)
This bachelor´s thesis examines air accidents which is caused by human error. From selected air accidents are pointed out mistakes, which is caused by flight crew, their continuation, increase, main causation and formation air accident. Study of human mistakes and influence phase of flight are shown in diagrams. The conclusion of the bachelor thesis includes possible solving to elimination human error and increasing air traffic safety.
Assessment of surface roughness and its influence on fatigue life
Dziubek, Jan ; Chamrad, Jakub (referee) ; Horníková, Jana (advisor)
This thesis deals with influence of surface roughness on fatigue life. In the thesis, the evaluation of the surface roughness by the profile method according to the standard ČSN EN ISO 4287 is specified. Within the work, the roughness parameters of samples with different surface treatment were determined. Then, SN-curves were drawn for samples with different surface treatments and compared with each other.
