Air traffic and the position of Travel Service airline at the Czech air market

The thesis analyse the current position of Travel Service, Ltd. at the Czech and central European market and try to point out the main aspects which stood for a successful development of the airline. The theoretical part focuses on history of aviation, structuring of air traffic and airlines, on airline alliances and low-cost airlines. It is also focuses on air traffic in the world, current trends in aviation and on the position of aviation in tourism. The analytical part describes the company from its beginning to its current successful position. Economic data, internal statistics, services, business strategy or actual news are analysed in this part. The important part of the airline, low-cost SmartWings is mentioned here as well.
Position of airline Travel Service on market

This bachelor thesis deals with the position of the biggest private Czech airline Travel Service on market. This thesis is divided in four parts in a logical sequence. First chapter is dedicated to history of the company, from its establishment to the present, the chapter engaged in the development and fleet and also contains information about management of the company. The second chapter is describing actual fleet, particular key positions and focuses on the development of the company, in terms of number of the passengers, as well as profitability. Next chapter is dedicated to strategy and operation on the market, that reflect all relevant and important changes which has the company gone through during the whole period of its existence. Last chapter describes main competitors in the Czech republic and also in Europe. The purpose of this thesis is seamlessly unify information and interesting facts about the company, which in few years got to the top in its field and continues to grow and expands its operation to other countries.
Comparison of Services Provided by the European, American and Asian Airlines

This thesis deals with the comparison of services provided by the European, American and Asian airlines. The first chapter describes fundamental terms important for the next elaboration of the thesis. It briefly describes the history of aviation, its pros and cons, airlines and their classification. The main part of this chapter is specification of services provided by the air transport, ground and on-board. Current trends in the air transport are briefly defined in the second chapter. The third chapter determines comparative criteria and criteria for selection of airlines whose services are compared. Services of selected airlines are listed in the fourth chapter and their comparison is performed.
Way of cooperation in international trade, Alliances of airline companies

The basic idea of the diploma thesis is to analyze the functionality of alliances in the global economic environment. Thesis specializes on the particular type of alliance - airline alliance. It is structurally divided into three separated chapters. The first chapter follows the basic determinants of the alliances functioning, their structure, composition and typology. Its aim is to explain the most important factors necessary for understanding the main meaning of the chapters. It focuses on the main advantages and disadvantages of the companies involved in alliances. The second chapter focuses on the implementation of alliances in airline industry. It monitors their historical development, legislative and regulatory environment in which the alliances were established and exist. It focuses on mapping the European and American area. The third chapter compares advantages and disadvantages of large and small members of Star Alliance within the European, American and Asian market. It compares them on the level of regional comparison, and then based on comparative fundamental and technical analyses.
Airlines' integration and its impact on the consumer behaviour of customers.

This thesis describes the process of integration between airlines and its positive and negative impacts on customers. It deals with characteristic features of individual forms of integration with the greatest attention paid to alliances and mergers. With respect to the fact that the passenger's choice of airline is to a large extent influenced by the price of the ticket, an empirical model is introduced to explore the impact of the membership in one of the global alliances on the final price of the long-haul tickets. Besides, the attention is paid to the nature and diversification of services provided. In the next section the thesis deals with the upcoming merger between British Airways and Iberia, its preconditions, form of the new company and identification of the potential risk factors that could have a negative impact on the company.
Building Customer Loyalty Programs For a Marketing Communication

In this work loyalty programs are described as a marketing tool of communication with customers. The first chapter provides a theoretical base which describes why loyalty programs are necessary and very effective for communication with the customer and how to establish effective loyalty program. The second chapter introduces the history of loyalty programs and the first loyalty program, which was founded by American Airlines. The third chapter describes loyalty program in three airlines and offers the opportunity to get to know modern loyalty programs which they offer us. The last part provides analysis of the primary research, which was carried out as part of the practical part. The analysis show that loyalty programs are widely perceived by people and can be successfully implementated in different enterprises. The second part of the survey relates to the selected airlines, and shows how loyalty programs are used and perceived in this particular case.
Analysis of current charter market in the Czech Republic

The bachelor thesis is concerned with the analysis of charter market in the Czech Republic and it notes all up-to-date changes and information. The first part contains the history of aviation and divides air transport into several categories. Next part deals with a specification and diversification of charter transport, explains differences between charter and classic airlines. There is also explained cooperation between charter airlines and travel agencies and creation of prices and tariff rates. In the third part is the real analysis of all big charter airlines, which are directly bounded with tourism and travel agencies- flights as part of holiday packages for holiday makers. In the fourth part of bachelor thesis trends of air transport are mentioned, their comparison and influence on air traffic. In the last part there is noticed meaning of building new Prague airport Vodochody and its impact for other expansion of charter transport.

This thesis is devoted to the web-page analysis and to the analysis of the accessability of financial records, that are usually part of annual reports. The first part is devoted to the theoretical basis and standards, where is stated how an airline corporation should act. In the second part, the theoretical basis is applied to concrete airlines, that are significant on the personal air-transportation market. The individual rating is stated in the conclusion. There are also concrete recommendations that should be used for raising the competitiveness of the given subject.
SmartWings: Marketing Communications Strategy

This thesis is concerned with marketing communications of SmartWings, the low-cost sub-brand of Travel Service airline. The theoretical section comprises two chapters: first of them is dealing with the difference between full-service and low-cost carriers. The second part provides insight into relevant aspects of marketing communications theory. The third chapter is aimed directly at the communications strategy of SmartWings, evaluating current practice and suggesting ways to improve its effectiveness.
