Ultrasonic characterization of CFRP anisotropy
Kling, M. ; Tokar, Daniel ; Převorovský, Zdeněk
In the paper, a new method for evaluation of CFRP (carbon fiber-reinforced plastic) anisotropy is presented. Such material is composed of carbon fabric, i. e. epoxy layers with different orientation, which makes material stronger and lighter. These specific properties are generally used in aerospace and automotive industry. Measurement method is based on a special multi-directional ultrasonic probe with eight built-in piezoceramic elements used for elastic wave propagation measurement. CFRP anisotropy evaluation is twofold: the first method is based on determination of the wave propagation velocities in different directions. The second way exploits the spectral non-linearity between harmonic frequencies’ ratios and signal amplitude, which is an important parameter for defects’ detection in NDT (non-destructive testing). Both experimental data were statistically validated and the obtained results are promising for further use in the field of research and industry.

Slovania and Slovakia - Analysis of entry to the eurozone with focus on price level
Kadlec, Martin ; Maleček, Petr (advisor) ; Bydžovský, Jiří (referee)
This bachelor thesis is concerned with the price level and its progress after entry to the eurozone. In each country entry into the eurozone is linked with the concerns about spontaneous price increase. This thesis discusses whether this concern is justified and tries to quantify any price increase associated with entry to the monetary union. It maps the preparation and accession of the two countries of post-Communist bloc, Slovania and Slovakia, into the eurozone and analyzes the particular steps, which both countries were using to avoid the spontaneous price increase. Then, the thesis quantifies the impact of the monetary union to the countries price level using a linear regression model built on the basis of time series. In the end, the thesis comes to a finding, that there is no sense to be extremely concerned about the entry to the eurozone.

Forks for handling logs
Seďa, Marek ; Juřík, Josef (referee) ; Škopán, Miroslav (advisor)
This master’s thesis with product design forks for handling logs as attachments for tractors Zetor Forterra the specified load capacity 1200 kg. The work is mainly focused on the design frame and fork clamps, the necessary calculations and ultimately strength check of designed structures. The work is also addressed in detail the linear hydraulic motor used for the rotational movement of the jaws, including the calculation of fork. Then there are the design calculations and stress analysis of journals. It also checked the stability of the machine. Stress analysis is performed for different load conditions and the jaw frame finite elements. As another part is making all the drawings.

The equations, systems of equations and polynomials on secondary school curriculum
KOHOUTOVÁ, Veronika
The aim of this thesis is to write a collection of mathematics exercises which should make an important aid for grammar school teachers and pupils. This collection can serve as remedial education to (weaker) pupils. The collection is dividend into four chapters the linear equations, system of linear equations, polynomials and word problems. These chapters contain a brief description, examples with solutions and unsolved examples, bonus tasks and results are at the end of these chapter.

Effect of cycling on the overall performance in triathlon
Jurič, Miroslav ; Kovářová, Lenka (advisor) ; Horčic, Josef (referee)
Title: Effect of cycling on the overall performance in triathlon Objectives: The aim is to determine the influence of the cycling part on the total performance in the individual disciplines of triathlon. Methods: I used a linear regression for the determination of influence of cycling part on the total performance. The investigated values were compared in a column graph. Results: The dependence, rated by coefficient of determination by disciplines with allowed ride in the lee was "low" (R2 =0,069; R2 =0,01). The influence of the cycling section on the total result in triathlon was higher by disciplines without the chance of the lee than by disciplines with allowed ride in the lee. The influence by disciplines with allowed ride in lee was less than 10%, and it was 36 % by discipline with banned ride in the lee. The cycling section of a long triathlon didn't influence the total result more than the running part of a long distance triathlon. The influence of the running part was 7% higher. The cycling part affected the total result in an off-road triathlon a lot. The value 81 % means a big influence of the cycling section on the total result in an off-road triathlon. Effect of swimming on the overall triathlon performance in triathlon races World Championships in years 2000 - 2010
Koktová, Veronika ; Kovářová, Lenka (advisor) ; Horčic, Josef (referee)
Title: The influence of swimming part of triathlon the total performance in competitions of world championships 2000-2010. Objectives: The aim is to investigate the influence of the swimming part of the total performance in triathlon in the lost 10 years. Methods: The relation between two variables (times from swimming and the total time of competitions from competitions of world championships 2000-2010 were described with the help of linear regression. Individual years were then compared in a point graph. Results: Our hypothese were confirmmed. It means that the result from the swimming part explains the result from the competition in less than 30%, which means the R2 is smaller than 0,3. We also found, that the influnence of the swimming part on the final result in triathlon has not changed in the last years. The relationship times in the swimming part and total (final) times was closest in 2005 (R2= 0,21). In other years, this dependence is lower, R2 was smaller than 0,07. Keywords: linear regression, longitudinal analysis, performance

Culture and time
Šindelka, Marek ; Czumalo, Vladimír (advisor) ; Soukup, Václav (referee)
The thesis focuses on intercultural comparison of temporality models. The time in this research is being examined as a social-cultural category: as the basic component of the social system determining its entire dynamics and serving the purpose of organization and synchronization of its inner components. It intends to capture the cultural function of temporality model, its connection with the economical, historical, cosmological and religious system of the society and with its inner stratification. The focal point of the thesis lies in the comparison of the cyclical temporality models (as we find them among the indigenous nations and archaic cultures) with linear quantitative models of time within the modern societies (especially the Western civilization) and with comparative examination of the "sources" and "purposes" of time in both cultural types. Keywords Time - Culture - Temporality

We present interferometric system based on a frequency stabilised Nd:YAG laser. The detection of absorption lines uses techniques of the linear absorption with slow sweeping across detected absorption.

Geometry of anamorphic paintings of the Mannerist period
Koudelová, Kateřina ; Kvasz, Ladislav (advisor) ; Kaslová, Michaela (referee)
This work focuses on geometry of Renaissance and Mannerist paintings. It is divided into two chapters, that introduces the reader to the history and geometry of Renaissance and Mannerism and to the relationship between geometry and didactics of mathematics. The chapter about geometry describes anamorphoses and method that were used to create them. The work is for reader's needs accompanied by a lot of pictures and artworks often modified so that it is clear why the painting is mentioned in this work. Keywords: Renaissance, Mannerism, anamorphosis, linear perspective, geometry
