Geometry of shadows
Tolkunova, Yulianna ; Surynková, Petra (advisor) ; Šarounová, Alena (referee)
Title: Geometry of shadows Author: Yulianna Tolkunova Department: Department of Mathematics Education Supervisor: RNDr. Petra Surynková, Ph.D. Abstract: The present thesis deals with geometric lighting and methods of its construction. In particular, it is directed at parallel lighting. The work includes a theoretical part, in which you can learn about the properties and basic concepts related to geometric lighting. Afterwards, there is a practical part, which contains a set of examples with their solutions and then unsolved examples for independent practice. The project is filled up with a number of pictures to enhance the reader's imagination about the principles and methods of lighting. In my work I emphasized intelligibility and usability of the methods listed there. In general, thesis Geometry of shadows is devoted to everybody who wants to learn more about the geometry of shadows. The work could be a useful study material for students and teachers of descriptive geometry.
The view from outside - the February revolution 1948 in the novels of Zdeněk Němeček, Egon Hostovský and Lubor Zink
Malinová, Lenka ; Schmarc, Vít (advisor) ; Vaněk, Václav (referee)
In her work, the author compares three novels of the exile writers, Egon Hostovský, Lubor Zink and Zdeněk Němeček. The novels Missing, February and the story Shadow bring together the theme of the February revolution in Czechoslovakia in 1948. The author grapple with three main topics, which appear in all three novels: binary worlds and dualism, betrayed word and image of the history. In this work these newfound motives are put into the context with the general principles of literature in exile.
Moving Objects Detection in Video Sequences
Hochman, Zdeněk ; Juránek, Roman (referee) ; Španěl, Michal (advisor)
This thesis deals with moving objects detection in video sequences. The principal aim of such detection is to detect and locate motion in the image, separate individual objects, and track these objects. Subsequently, to eliminate shadows, the paper introduces method of motion detection based on Local Binary Patterns together with differential method above the HSV color space. The proposed method provides rapid and accurate movement detection in video sequences.
Scene Rendering in Modern Computer Games
Wilczák, Martin ; Šolony, Marek (referee) ; Kajan, Rudolf (advisor)
This thesis describes methods for lighting calculations of large scenes used in modern computer games. Forward shading and deferred shading methods are discussed and compared. Capabilities of raytracing are shortly described. There are some information about various methods for casting shadows, simulation of particle systems and applying post-processing effects. In the end there is a design of architecture for rendering complex scenes with use of XNA and description of implementation used in resulting game.
Technology of Hole Plating Process in Laboratory PCB Production
Holík, Milan ; Kahle, Petr (referee) ; Starý, Jiří (advisor)
Target of this work is check a laboratory method of plated-through hole openings on printed boards circuits, making use techniques know like SHADOW process. It is use solution conductive colloid graphite to conduct walls of holes and enable galvanic electroplated cuppers to holes walls.
Design of protection against lightning and data distributions photovoltaic plant
Manduch, Viliam ; Bátora, Branislav (referee) ; Radil, Lukáš (advisor)
This thesis deals with the problems associated with the lightning. It deals with the stablishment, descriptions and analyzes of risk the living organisms and objects are facing. The work focuses on the description and implementation of protection against these adverse effects. Its objective is to devise a system for lightning protection for chosen PV power plant to meet the requirements of standard of EN 62305. The work is also the analysis of shadow effects in the collecting system for PV power systems.
Shadow and shadow play. Series of creative lessons for art education on the elemetary art school
TICHÁČKOVÁ, Barbora
The thesis is devoted to theoretical introduction of shade as a distinctive theme and an expressive element in the history of fine arts extending to the dramatic arts, film and photography, as well as specifications of shadow play as an expressive medium. The work also concentrates on the description of shade in terms of optics and visual perception, answers the question what a shadow is. In this thesis the analysis of both traditional and modern symbolism related to the phenomenon of shadow is not forgotten. A large part is dedicated to didactic analysis and brief characteristics of artproject methods and art series in art education, with regard to practical implications of work. The constituent part of the thesis was the preparation, realization and documentation of particular art series (set of art lessons) on topic "Shade and shadow play" in secondary schools.
Intimate illumination
TICHÁČKOVÁ, Barbora
The Work in the first half deals with the theory of light, answering the question what the light is. It thus encompasses the physical study of light. A large part is also devoted to optics and its history. In the second half of the work we can find chapters that deal with the issue of light in art, accordingly the light as an expressive element of art and also the development of composition of light in the history of visual culture. Not even the theme of light in photography was left out and that is together with the drawing techniques the base of the practical part of this thesis. The analysis concludes with a case study which deals with the composition of light in the medium of drawing.
