IoT LoRaWAN soil moisture and temperature sensor
Pánisz, Peter ; Zeman, Václav (referee) ; Škorpil, Vladislav (advisor)
The goal of this bachelor's thesis was to develop software and design a protective cover for a development board that measures soil moisture, air temperature, and humidity. The project addressed the connection to a low-power wireless network for Internet of Things devices, through which the measured data was transmitted. The received data needed to be processed and decoded through various applications, which also require configuration. The measurement results can be graphically visualized in the form of charts on a public website accessible via the internet. For the administrator, a private address with additional information is available. The thesis also describes concepts such as application containerization, the selection of a suitable low-power network, and solving issues related to a dynamic public IPv4 address.
Information System for Production and Material Management
Škutová, Miroslava ; Hranický, Radek (referee) ; Rychlý, Marek (advisor)
The aim of this work is to digitalise key aspects of the production and personnel processes in an engineering company and at the same time to optimise the use of the existing HELIOS iNuvio information system. The software developed, based on PHP web technologies using the Symfony, React and REST frameworks, includes modules that not only replace the terminal application for production control and materials management, but also enable the digitalisation and simplification of other company processes, including the signing of important documents and machine management. The solution's analytics module provides management with detailed information on employee performance, production process efficiency and financial aspects of production using the Grafana visualisation tool. The attendance module replaces manual attendance management. This complex solution increases overall efficiency of business processes and improves the user experience without requiring additional investment in hardware or systems.
Home weather station with web interface
Spratek, Vojtěch ; Bajer, Jan (referee) ; Rubeš, Ondřej (advisor)
The aim of this bachelor thesis is to create a wireless weather station. It consists of an ESP32 development board, a rechargeable circuit with a solar panel, sensors for measuring temperature, pressure, humidity, volatile organic compounds and nitrogen oxides. The measured data is stored in both Google Sheets and microSD card. Both current values of the measured quantities and long-term trends are displayed in a web application.
Data acquisition, visualisation and data processing of measuring of electrical energy consumption in BUT buildings
Dvořák, Radim ; Bátora, Branislav (referee) ; Janík, Daniel (advisor)
This thesis focuses on implementing energy management within individual buildings and campuses of BUT (Brno University of Technology). Specifically, it addresses the deployment of detailed sub-metering for electrical energy consumption and the creation of a user-friendly environment for working with the collected data. The work also includes establishing a database for data storage and enabling communication between the BUT metering elements and the storage and subsequent visualization of the measured data.
Creating a simulation model of the access network
Formánek, Juraj ; Slavíček, Karel (referee) ; Grenar, David (advisor)
Thesis deals with generating and monitoring traffic in the GNS 3 simulation tool. The properties of the GNS 3 simulator are defined, including its capabilities for simulating/emulating components. Emphasis is placed on using only open-source tools. After analyzing the capabilities of GNS 3, a suitable traffic generator is found, which is preceded by practical testing of multiple generators. After finding the generator, monitoring tools are practically tested, with Zabbix emerging as the best from the tests. It was linked with the visualization tool Grafana through Zabbix plugin. Part of the work consists of automation, managed by Zabbix along with bash/Python scripts. The thesis evaluates the use of GNS 3 and explores its capabilities, possibilities, and limitations in the area of traffic monitoring and generation. The result is the creation of an access network with one router and two containers that generate and send traffic through this router. Everything is monitored by Zabbix and useful results are displayed in Grafana.
Implementation of Communication Technology complying IEC 61850 as the Demonstrational DCS System
Kozák, Ondřej ; Arm, Jakub (referee) ; Fiedler, Petr (advisor)
This thesis deals with the issue of communication of protection by IEC 61850 standard and reading, control and visualization of protections by DCS systém 800xA and PLC AC500 from ABB and extended visualization by cloud service Grafana. The IEC 61850 standard, its protocols anad the topologies used have been descibed in this work. Furthermore, the basic functions of the instruments used were described. The main part describes the procedure of creating SCD file for communication configuration and subsequent uploading to individual systems, creating visualization in DCS 800xA system, setting up communication between protection devices and reading from them using AC 500 PLC. For the cloud service there is a description of the implementation of the MQTT broker for sending data between PLC and database Influxdb that stores the data and forwards it to Grafana visualization environment.
Module for data collection from industrial equipment
Vávra, Petr ; Kaczmarczyk, Václav (referee) ; Fiedler, Petr (advisor)
Theses deals with development of a module for data collection from industrial equipment. As a suitable protocol for collecting data is chosen OPC UA. The source of data are OPC UA servers on PLCs from Siemens. For secure transport to public cloud Microsoft Azure over TLS protocol is used IoT Edge and IoT Hub gate. The data are stored in Time Series database InfluxDB. For visualization are used web applications Influx DB and Grafana. Software is tested on industrial equipment.
Management and Automation of Enterprise Facility Heating System
Hartmann, Jiří ; Bardonek, Petr (referee) ; Šimek, Václav (advisor)
The aim of this work is to create a unified control and supervision system, SCADA, for controlling the heating and cooling of the company. The system is controlled by UniPi PLC units. Node-RED is used as control software. The user interface is created by an extension "dashboard". For communication between elements using the MQTT protocol. The InfluxDB database is used for data storage. The Grafana tool is used to visualize historical data. The majority of the created system consists of open software. The system is universal, expandable and it is possible to connect it with another system. The system can be used or adapted to similar problems of advanced heating control.
Well Water Level Measurement
Samek, Jakub ; Košař, Vlastimil (referee) ; Korček, Pavol (advisor)
This thesis deals with the well water level measurement. The main aim was to design and construct a device using proper platform and sensorics for measuring which is used for measuring the water level in the well. This device uses batteries. The expected battery life is several months. The device sends collected data via network to the server. These data are visualised in graphic interface using a graph. The system controls the water level in the well and battery level of the device. When the limit values are exceeded, the user is notified by e-mail. Based on this information, the user can decide how to be economical with the water.
Utilization of open source tools for access network monitoring
Gmitter, Jakub ; Sládok, Ondřej (referee) ; Grenar, David (advisor)
The bachelor thesis deals with the issue of access network monitoring, which is necessary to ensure the stability of access networks. It contains a comparison of suitable monitoring tools for their selection. The work is focused on creating scripts in the Bash language, which analyze data on the access network and implement outputs from selected monitoring tools. In this work were analyzed the transmitted packets and the achieved transmission speeds during monitoring. The final output of this work are databases created in MySQL, which contains data about the analyzed parameters and visualization of data analysis using the Grafana program. Graphs of the transmission speeds of monitoring and basic transmission statistics were created on panels during visualization.
