UX research for digital products

Thesis deals with the UX research from the perspective of UX professionals. The main objective of this thesis is to determine the point of view these professionals on UX research. The first partial objective of this thesis is to identify problem areas and the causes of problems in the context of UX research. The second objective is to identify how the experts assess the impact of efforts carried out in connection with the UX. The third objective is to identify the benefits of conducting UX research. Methods for achieving these objectives are conducting qualitative and quantitative research in the form of interviews and a survey targeted at 164 UX professionals. The contribution of this thesis is capturing of the views and experiences of these professionals on issues, impact assessments and benefits of conducting UX research.
Survey of small and medium-sized enterprises on open source ERP

The diploma thesis conveys information enabling greater awareness on the role of open source software at the market of enterprise information systems such as ERP provided as a service. It presents their distinctive characteristics from proprietary software. The practical part investigates the use of corporate information systems provided on-premise, as web services, and by open software. It presents the opinion of the respondents on the contradictory factors considered as benefits or risks of such software.
Dendrologic survey of Bečov botanical garden

This thesis completes information about the area of the former Beaufort rock garden and contemporary Bečov botanical garden. The main part of this work is dendrologic survey and passport of woody plants in the area. The two parts of the original area were chosen for the survey the former landscape park and the slope with rockery. In total, there were passported 470 woody plants, 104 of them were coniferous and 366 broad-leaved species. There were identified 30 taxa of coniferous in 9 genera and 55 taxa of broad-leaved in 31 genera. All the woody plants were drawn into the plan, which is also part of this work (scale 1:600). Next part of this work is a list of woody plants taxa in the forest complex and the orchard. It was wtitten 34 taxa (3 coniferous and 31 broad-leaved) and 50 varieties of fruit trees.

The most common test data problems and possible solutions

This thesis is focused od testing, test data, most frequent test data issues and solutions of these issues. The theoretical part of thesis explains testing, test data, test data management. This thesis focuses on categorizing of testing by type, class and a way of testing and cetgorizing test data. There are also introduced differences between manual and automating testing. The practical part of thesis introduces the survey questionnaire and realization of most frequent test data issues and solutions of these issues survey. In this part of thesis is survey description, goals formulation and evaluation od survey included. The contribution of this thesis is integrated view to testing, test data a their importance at whole testing domain and obstacles, which testing workers have to deal with. This thesis also contributes resume of test data issues solutions and ways to prevent or handle these test data issues.
Analysis of transport in Hradec Králové and Pardubice

The main objective of this thesis is to map traffic conditions in Hradec Králové and Pardubice region. The main attention is paid not only to transport in these two east-capitals, but especially transport between them. The theoretical part focuses on clarifying basic concepts closely related to the issue of transport and the characteristics of transport modes and means of transport across the Czech Republic. The practical part is focused directly on the two cities, the analysis of public transport and traffic between them. The work also includes a short questionnaire on transport between Hradec Králové and Pardubice.
Dynamic BSC and strategy maps as a tool for corporate communications

Balanced Scorecard (BSC) is one of the current methods of strategic management and planning. Unlike some methods are focused on non-financial measures, when their connection with financial indicators leads to more efficient management of business performance. Dynamic BSC is one of the modifications of the BSC method, which uses elements of system dynamics and system thinking, for its optimization. One of the elements that are used in conjunction with this method, the strategy maps, which is used to visualize the interdependence of goals and metrics between basic BSC perspectives (financial , customer , internal processes , learning and growth). Balanced Scorecard and strategy maps can also serve as a tool for communicating critical information in enterprise-wide breadth. This use allows employees at lower levels of management to be informed about the objectives of the company, and their specific involvement to achieve them (their contribution to strategic , tactical and operational objectives ). The contribution of the thesis is the exploration and subsequent evaluation , which is the awareness and use of methods Balanced Scorecard and strategy maps to support communication and awareness in enterprises.
The re-use of open government data

The aim of this bachelor thesis is to outline the principles of open government data ("OGD"), to create an insight into the issue of OGD re-use and its users, and to analyse the demand for OGD in the Czech Republic. This work has four objectives. The first is to perform a search for sources of information on the topic of OGD re-use in the Czech Republic and from abroad. The second is to perform a comparison of the level of availability and re-use in the countries mentioned. The third is to define areas of OGD re-use and groups of its users. The last objective is to analyse the de-mand for OGD among users in the Czech Republic. These goals will be achieved by analysing digital libraries and databases of scientific work and other electronic sources, by choosing indicators and areas of OGD re-use to be compared, by analysing the domestic, as well as foreign information sources on the topic of OGD users and areas of re-use and finally by conducting the research of the demand for OGD among Czech users using a questionnaire. The contribution of this work is a summary of different information sources regarding the OGD issue and including an evaluation of information found, assessing a position of the Czech Republic compared with Great Britain and Slovakia, then the synthesis of the areas of OGD re-use and creating groups of its users, and the main objective in this thesis to execute the primary OGD demand research.
The utilisation of social networks in marketing

The main objective of this thesis is to acquaint the reader with basic matters of social networks and their use for marketing purposes. The theoretical part describes the history, current trends and various tools throughout the entire online marketing. It also identifies a selection of chosen social networks - Facebook, Twitter and YouTube. The practical part is focused on the safety in publishing personal informations on the internet and marketing features on social networks. A survey was conducted amongst active users in order to gather information about their level of knowledge concerning safety on the internet. The contribution of this work is to explain the marketing process with possible evaluation of success and overall understanding of the importance of social networks as a valuable advertising tool.
