Searching in GPS maps
Hykl, Martin ; Pangrác, Ondřej (advisor) ; Kruliš, Martin (referee)
This work is about routing in maps. There are few topics here: How to prepare a graph from a map, what algorithms can we use, can we really find a useful route for user, and many more. At the end of this work there are descriptions of a few experiments which I used to prove correctness of some ideas how to make routing algorithms faster and better. You can also find a manual to SnailMap 2.3b there.

Identifying runtime components of the running SOFA 2 application
David, Ondřej ; Hnětynka, Petr (referee) ; Bureš, Tomáš (advisor)
In the present work we put forward a proposal on how to deconstruct a SOFA 2 component runtime environment. The first part of the text is dedicated to description of its logical parts fand their interconnections. It includes description of the subsidiary program parts (repository, dock manager, global connector manager, dock) essential for launching an arbitrary component architecture which binds additional runtime components (component content, microcomponents, connectors) described further on in the text. The second part deals with the question of how a specific component architecture influences presence of these runtime components. Their constitution, bindings and dependencies are investigated based on observations of various component applications. Common traits are captured in a unifying concept which will open the door to making the target runtime environment for concrete component architecture more configurable and lightweight. The third part of the text proves the feasibility of the proposed concept. OSGi bundles are used to implement the runtime environments of the component applications investigated in the second part of the text demonstrating correctness of the proposed concept. The final part summarises the results of the text and presents possible ways how to continue in this work.

Manažerské propočty z hlediska logiky, analytické mikroekonomie a dalších teoretických disciplin
Hašková, Simona ; Jiroušek, Radim (advisor) ; Mrkvička, Tomáš (referee) ; Peregrin, Jaroslav (referee) ; Volf, Petr (referee)
It is no secret that 'managerial' solutions are not, on average, nearly as reliable as 'technical' solutions. The focus of this work is to clarify the reasons why this is so, and to seek ways to increase the reliability of managerial solutions. The causes of this situation are both subjective (human factor failure), which can be influenced, and objective (complexity of the problem, the specifics of human behaviour, etc.) that can be only minimally influenced. Significant subjective causes at work were identified as: a. cognitive distortions at the mental level of thinking of the problem solvers; b. deficiencies in making inference and drawing conclusions; c. incorrect argumentation. There are two ways to reduce these causes: 1. cultivation of managerial thinking of the problem solvers; 2. the use of reserves in the implementation of approaches and tools of theoretical disciplines that already operate successfully elsewhere and are beneficial for managerial solutions. The first way deals with procedures for managerial solutions formulated in the language of the relevant discipline (the language of management), expressed by natural language and the chain of formulas (calculations) and visual (graphic) tools in the form of managerial decision trees, diagrams and charts with the rules of 'managerial logic'. This is generally defined as a set of approaches, tools, methods and skills needed for credible justification when solving managerial problems. Specifically it deals with: - the 'case-based reasoning' approach, which aims at finding the best point of view on a given problem and analysing all considered aspects within its context step-by-step in detail; - translating the tools and methods of modern logic (especially its intuitionistic version) from the language of logic into the language of management taking into account the factual content of expressive means of the language of management including the ability of their effective application; - respecting the principles of rational and ethical argumentation within managerial solutions. The second way circumvents managerial solution procedures by recasting the managerial task to the task of a scientific discipline (logic, game theory, etc.) and derives the correct result therein. In this context we talk about the use of knowledge of theoretical disciplines in management. Both of these ways are demonstrated in the work in a number of illustrative examples and the annexed case studies addressing the specific tasks of managerial practice.

Apartment Residence with Wellness in Beskydy
Pěchuvková, Kateřina ; Závorková, Kateřina (referee) ; Králová, Zuzana (advisor)
This diploma thesis is focused on design of project documentation apartment residence with wellness centre in Beskydy Mountains. It is a three floors apartment residence with wellness centre with basement, with is located in sloping plot in the village of Staré Hamry in Frýdek-Místek. Nearby are 2 ski lifts and 3 ski slopes. The whole area is very used by tourist in summer and winter season. In building is 13 apartments and they are designed to be suitable for a longer stay with one apartment is designed for people with limited mobility. Residence is possible make accommodation for 36 people. In wellness part are designed swimming pool, whirlpool, finish and infra saunas. The main disposal idea was separate an accommodation part from wellness part. The supporting system consists of two structural systems. As a main building material was in basement part used a permanent formwork from vibropressed concrete blocks and in upper floor are used ceramic block Porotherm with voids filed by hydrophobic mineral wool. Loadbearing interior basement part consist of reinforced concrete columns with make a space for parking space for cars. Ceiling construction consists of prestressed hollow core slab Spiroll. Roof is designed as a saddle roof. The main result is the correct design of the building with a correct layout design, correct structural design, architectural, energy saving and safety in use of the building.

Bassoon studies for the Beginners
Nováková, Michaela ; HERMAN, František (advisor) ; HLAVÁČ, Jiří (referee)
The aim of this work is to demonstrate a closer point of view about the issue of learning to play of a wood wind instrument bassoon, especially for the beginners meaning little children and also to their parents. The title of the thesis is "Bassoon studies for beginners". The content of this work is focused on first contact with the instrument and is divided into two parts. The first part is theoretical and deals with the historical development of the bassoon, reed issues, and breathing techniques. Other chapters are focused on correct holding of the instrument and are explained the problems of embouchure. This part of thesis also includes an interview with one of the successful bassoon lector MgA. Lukáš Kořínek. The second part is practical. Fifteen chapters describes the first tones beginning with C to c1 including b flat, f sharp and c sharp in simple songs and melodies. In view of the fact, that there are insufficient materials about how to play the bassoon in the very beginning, this thesis was written to provide the basic information and advice for the beginners in bassoon playing and can also be used as complementary material.

Effective Algorithms for Verifying Goals in Computer Games
Suda, Martin ; Hric, Jan (advisor)
In the present work we study non-uniform methods for searching game trees of two player games with perfect information. Particularly the non-uniformity based on threats as realized in lambda search and dual-lambda search algorithms is investigated. Threats, de ned as such attack moves that if followed by a pass from the defender result in his certain loss, allow for a reduction of the search space while guaranteeing correctness at the same time. The work then describes a new method for construction of so called relevancy zones, a list of moves or places on the game desk that can only have in uence on the result of the problem in question. Using these zones it is possible to speed up the mentioned algorithms considerably. In the work there are also described three games, AtariGo, Hex and Go-Moku, and their appropriateness with respect to the studied methods is analyzed. Part of the work is also an implementation of the methods for these games using known techniques (transposition tables, history heuristic).

Analysis of Employees' Satisfaction in a chosen Firm
Havlíčková, Klára ; Vinšová, Tereza (advisor) ; Šantora, Karel (referee)
The thesis is concerned with problems of employee satisfaction in a small company regarding the system of remuneration, motivation, the possibility of career growth and human relations. In theoretical part there are summed up particular terms related to working satisfaction, motivation and output. There are briefly defined fundamental theories of working behavior motivation and the most important factors which have influence on working satisfaction. The subject of practical part is a concrete company where the analysis of employee satisfaction took place. Correctional measures are proposed at the base of the outcomes of the research.

Business plan
