Temperature drift compensation for nanostructure analysis
Hakira, Stanli ; Páleníček, Michal (referee) ; Bábor, Petr (advisor)
An ultra high vacuum apparatus for nanostructure experiments is being developed by the Tescan company in cooperation with the Institute of Physical Engineering of the Faculty of Mechanical Engineering. The apparatus is designed for preparation, modification, and analysis of nano-scale structures. A sample holder which allows heating and cooling has been developed for the apparatus. A scanning electron microscope is attached to the chamber to provide analytical and manufacturing capabilities. During experiments with heating enabled, the sample moves relative to the SEM column, causing drift of the image. This bachelor thesis proposes a solution to the problem of temperature drift by the means of motion tracking based on image registration using Fourier transform. An application complementary to the SEM control software which implements the algorithm was designed and tested at the instrument.
Retinal image registration using phase correlation
Prosser, Jan ; Harabiš, Vratislav (referee) ; Kolář, Radim (advisor)
This master’s thesis is aimed at registration of frames of retinal fundus video using phase corre- lation. An introduction describes general research in topic of retinal fundus, eye movements, diff erent approaches for image registration, phase correlation and examples of phase corre- lation applications. The second, practical part of master’s thesis, is dedicated to description of the proposed algorithm for registration of frames of retinal fundus video. The description of the proposed algorithm is divided into three parts. First two parts describe how frames of retinal fundus video are rated in terms of suitability for registration. Third part describes image registration algorithm itself. In conclusion, the accuracy of algorithm and computational time are evaluated.
Parameter Optimization of the Modified Phase Correlation Method for Sub-pixel Image Registration
Experimental estimation of arterial collagen waviness
Vávra, Jan ; Man, Vojtěch (referee) ; Polzer, Stanislav (advisor)
The bachelor thesis is focused on the experimental estimation of collagen waviness in arterial . The aim of this thesis is to get orientation of fibres from polarized light microscopy. This is possible thanks to phase correlation and image analysis in programe called MATLAB. After that, it is needed to vertify results in program called Hyperfit. Its done by estimating coefficients of constitutive model and comparing them with biaxial tests of porcine aortas.
Numerical Method of Image Registration Using Nonlinear Geometric Transform
Stodola, Jakub ; Druckmüller, Miloslav (referee) ; Štarha, Pavel (advisor)
The goal of the thesis is to find general nonlinear geometric transformation, which compensates irregular deformation of images, so that they could be registered. In the introductory part, necessary mathematical tools are stated, especially convolution, correlation and Fourier transform. In the next part, method of phase correlation is stated, followed by algorithms used for finding the geometric transformation. Those algorithms are implemented in computer program, that is included.
Fluorescence imaging techniques in multimodal holographic microscope
Vašíček, David ; Procházková, Jana (referee) ; Čolláková, Jana (advisor)
The diploma thesis deals with the registration of images taken with the multimodal holographic microscope (MHM). The summary covers the fluorescent and holographic microscopy, and the multimodal holographic microscope combining both these microscopy types. Every pair of the images needs to be aligned in order to gain new information by combining both image types. The thesis contains an algorithm that registers images by phase correlation as well as a process created in MATLAB in accordance with the algorithm. The most important procedure parameters’ influence on the registration success is described and the results are annotated.
Phase-correlation based image registration
Microscope Image Processing
Janda, Ondřej ; Ošmera, Pavel (referee) ; Matoušek, Radomil (advisor)
This diploma thesis deals with image processing of microbiological data. Firstly the brief introduction to biological basics is given. Secondly we take focus on basic and used image processing methods. Integral part of this thesis is working application witch uses image processing methods on input data. Creating user interface for this application is also part of this work. Documentation is provided.
Object Speed Measuring Using The Fourier Transform
Zikmund, Tomáš ; Martišek, Karel (referee) ; Štarha, Pavel (advisor)
This work deals with object speed measuring using image analysis method. The reader will become familiar with a mathematical theory upon which the method is based. The mathematical algorithm for obtaining the speed of a given object is illustrated. Furthermore, an original computer program has been developed and the results of real measuring are shown.
Retinal image registration using phase correlation
Šikula, Viktor ; Harabiš, Vratislav (referee) ; Kolář, Radim (advisor)
This master thesis deals with retinal image registration using phase correlation technique. There are described properties of retinal images and modality of scanning. A geometrical transformation encompasing scale, rotation and translation between two retinal images is considered and the whole registration framework is described. There are used retinal images from fundus camera and scanning laser ophthalmoscope (SLO). In this thesis is described corresponding bifurcations detection using phase correlation and registration using second-order polynomial transformation. The results are subjectively and objectively verificated.
