Název: Člověk, duše a smrt The human, the psyche and the death Cíle práce: Cílem diplomové práce bylo předložit ucelený pohled na problematiku osobnosti člověka, smrti a s ní souvisejících témat. Snahou bylo předložit názory jednotlivých filozofů, odborníků a náboženství na člověka jako jedinečnou bytost. Práce se zaměřuje především na období stáří, které se nejvíce dotýká problematiky smrti. Druhým cílem této práce je porovnat vnímání vlastního stáří u seniorů, kteří již nejsou schopni samostatného života bez pomoci ostatních, lidí, kteří žijí společně v domově, který jim nabízí možnost aktivního života, vnímání stáří také jako pozitivní části života a možnost rozvoje v každém věku i v nemoci. Součástí této práce je také názor na život, stáří a smrt velké herecké osobnosti, paní Květy Fialové, která je nádherným příkladem člověka, který přijímá kterýkoli věk jako dar a obohacení a snaží se v něm nalézt krásu a radost. Metoda: Průzkum byl proveden ve 3 domovech důchodců v Praze v celkovém objemu 102 dotázaných respondentů. Graphic design of mobile web

This Bachelor thesis deals with the graphic web design which is optimized for mobile phones. The introduction is about the properties of mobile phones and its users in a way that is important to a website design. The mobile web and its possible alternatives are described after the introduction. After this preface is a chapter devoted directly to graphic design of mobile website (general principles, specifics, layout recommendations). This knowledge is used to design a graphic design on a specific case-study. For create graphic design mobile site was chosen Integrated Study Information System at the University of Economics, Prague. A research was made among the users of the information system. It focused on using a mobile phone to visit Integrated Study Information System and which applications of this System, students use the most. Based on this research, information architecture was determined and a graphic design of basic screens of school information system was designed according to this information architecture. In the end of the thesis the final design is presented to selected students who will evaluate the information architecture and the graphic design of the selected screens in order to show the correct evaluation of research among students and the final outcome meets students needs.

Bilingual Explanatory Dictionary (of French and of Czech Language) focused on Arithmetic and Algebra

The aim of this diploma thesis was to create the Czech French and French Czech bilingual explanatory dictionary of both algebra and arithmetic mathematical terminology taught at Czech and French primary and secondary schools. The dictionary is intended especially for Czech users to help them with translation of mathematic terms from both languages. The entries are appended with basic grammatical and phonetic indications, definitions and example sentences. At the end of the dictionary there is a list of mathematical symbols used in the mathematical terminology included in this dictionary. Czech and French textbooks, dictionaries and French web sites focused on mathematics were used as the main sources of information. Influence of salmonella lipopolysachcaride on gene trascription and secretion of interferon gamma.

Jana Machovská Title of diploma thesis: Influence of salmonella lipopolysaccharide on gene transcription and secretion of interferon gamma Charles University in Prague Faculty of Pharmacy in Hradec Králové Department of Biological and Medical Sciences Aim: The aim of this diploma thesis is to evaluate the influence of a type of salmonella lipopolysaccharide on the activation of gene transcription and production of gamma interferon (IFN-γ) as a key cytokine of immune response to intracellular bacterial pathogens. The study was performed on infectious model of a gnotobiotic pig infected with gram- negative bacteria Salmonella enterica serovar Typhimurium strain LT2 or its rfaL- mutant. Methods: 1) Four groups of piglets were created: germ-free as a control group, conventional piglets, piglets infected with LT2 strain, piglets infected with rfaL- mutant 2) Determination of bacterial CFU in blood and intestinal lavage by cultivation on bacteriological media 3) Isolation of a total RNA from ileum, spectrophotometric quantification and estimation of its purity (A280/A260) 4) Reverse transcription into cDNA 5) Real-time PCR with LNA probes 6) Normalization and relativization of real-time PCR data 7) Estimation of cytokines in blood and intestinal lavage by ELISA. Comparison of Czech Studies at Selected Universities Abroad with the Czech Studies for Foreigners at the Faculty of Arts, Charles University

This thesis aims to compare the teaching of Czech as a foreign language at the Faculty of Arts at the Charles University in Prague and other facilities in the world, especially those in Europe. The comparison is based on data gathered from websites and information obtained through direct visits and subsequent contacts with specific departments at selected universities. Foremost, this included the Humboldt University in Berlin, the University of Vienna and the Jagellon University in Krakow. This thesis also presents the Slavic studies institutes at these universities. The thesis contains the comparison of the curriculum at the bachelor s degree level and the comparison of knowledge which the students at this level have gained. In the conclusion, the author offers a comparison based on knowledge obtained objectively and subjectively. It does not compare the quality of teaching as such, but the possibilities of studying Czech as a foreign language at these universities.

Strategic analysis of the company Adventure World s. r. o.

This thesis focuses on strategic analysis of the company Adventure World s. r. o. operating escape games in Prague. The goal of the thesis is to suggest strategic recommendations for further company development. The theoretical part deals with defining basic terminology and describing process of strategy formulation. In the practical part analytical tools described earlier are applied to analysis. In order to analyze external environment, the PEST framework is used. To illustrate the industry environment, 5 competitive forces analysis, map of strategic groups is used. In examining the internal firms conditions, the strategic resources and capabilities are identified through the value chain framework. Analyses findings are summarized in SWOT matrix, then strategy alternatives are generated. In conclusion, the author suggests the wording of the organization mission and updated vision, strategic goals, then author specifies actions, that are meant to fulfill those goals.

Aplikace metod používaných při analýze rizika a podpoře rozhodování

Téma analýzy rizika je relativně novou oblastí, která poslední dobou nabývá na významu nejen ve světě, ale i v České republice. Tomu však zdaleka neodpovídá zdejší zázemí. V českém jazyce dosud nebyly vydány žádné tituly zabývající se komplexně touto problematikou, a pokud se již podaří nějakou literaturu najít, pak není určena čtenáři, který s analýzou rizika dosud není příliš obeznámen. Proto si tato diplomová práce klade za cíl rozšířit povědomí o této problematice. Informace v tomto dokumentu jsou založeny na renomovaných anglicky psaných publikacích z této oblasti a dále vycházejí z praktických zkušeností, které jsem načerpal při vývoji vlastního nástroje pro analýzu rizika. Záměrem tak není jen plnit roli akademického textu, ale zároveň praktického návodu, který pomůže každému s tvorbou jeho prvních modelů. Diplomová práce se skládá z teoretické a praktické části. Kapitoly teorie jsou děleny na jednotlivé sekce, které představují dílčí kroky celého procesu analýzy rizika. V praktické části pak je krátce popsána aplikace nástroje Profeta na reálném projektu. Celý dokument je koncipován pro využití širokým spektrem čtenářů se zájmem o úvod do analýzy rizika. Zájemce je postupně seznámen se základy tvorby modelů, identifikování klíčových faktorů úspěchu, definování předpokladů, nalezení předpovědí a interpretování výsledků simulace. Dále pak text zprostředkovává kvalitativní i kvantitativní rozbor rizika a poskytuje instrukce k aplikaci jednotlivých metod k identifikaci, kvantifikaci, předpovídání, ohodnocování, zajištění, diversifikování a managementu rizika. Jednotlivé metody jsou představeny z pohledu jejich reálné aplikace prostřednictvím vybraných z nástrojů pro analýzu rizika a jejich významu pro celý rozhodovací proces.

Marketing strategy for chosen company

The goal of this diploma thesis was to create a new marketing strategy for the chosen company. The company is seated in Prague and has been in the coffee industry business since 2003. The thesis was written to fulfill academic standards and to be a practical guide for the company itself. The first part of the thesis is the theoretical part containing theoretical principals of company strategy, situational analysis and marketing mix. In the second part we applied theory, real data, internal company workshops and our own survey to create a marketing strategy. The goal of the diploma thesis was fulfilled by creating a marketing strategy based on the company´s identity and values, carrying out a situational and market analysis and creation of a marketing mix.

Possibilities for developing sustainable transport in Prague

This diploma thesis is concerned with the issue of sustainable transport. In the theoretical part, the emphasis is placed on setting the concept of sustainable transport into a broader context; it also describes various factors influencing the choice of the means of transport, which is crucial for transport planning. Furthermore, it describes a set of diverse tools used for transport regulation. At the end of the theoretical part, it mentions specific approaches implemented in selected cities all over the world. The practical part is based on a significant personal research, which helps to understand the issues of transport in a selected area of Prague. On the basis of this research, it subsequently suggests possible measures that might lead to a decrease in the intensity of automobile transport in the aforementioned area. Most of those measures can be similarly applied in other city areas as well.
