Unconscious Inspiration
Holubář, Patrik ; MAKONJ, Karel (advisor) ; MIKEŠ, Vladimír (referee)
The meaning of this work is the explanation of a particular life expression, which is presented by moment of now, that inside itself encapsulates cause and consequence. The focus of this work is to define the influences which have effects during artistic creation which is a compilation of physiologic and psychological phenomenons of a particular person. For this purpose I reflected on my activity to date as an artist, secondly I looked up and read relevant literature and met with people, who willingly helped me with this work. The finding of my continuous and retrospective cognition is that artistic creation is closely related to life experiences, individual perception and subjective benefits and experiences. Therefore, a person can set out his lifelong goal of whom he wants to be and what he would like to achieve. He would know almost automatically, what he should do in accordance with his deep-rooted and previously tested abilities and thus he would behave as such at a present moment. It is desirable to pursue one´s chosen vocational skills, preferably most of one´s free time to ensure one´s professional growth in a particular field. However, it is necessary to pay attention to one´s personal life, which can have the deciding impact on the final consequence.

From Descates' Mind to Kant's Reason
Dekastello, Petr ; Hill, James (advisor) ; Palkoska, Jan (referee)
The basic subject-matter of my research is R. Descartes' Meditations On First Philosophy and I examine the term intellect and its position within the mind and its relation to thought. My work includes a study of sensation and imagination which provide the intellect with "material" to judge. The objective of my thesis is to demonstrate the role the intellect plays in terms of reason and to present an interpretation of the way in which the mind is designated in relation to reason according to Rene Descartes in his writing and in his responses to objections. The position and functions of the intellect are understood as a logical structure of mutual dependence and as the elements essential for the understanding of the human soul substance. At the end of my thesis I demonstrate that the system of reason of R. Descartes might be considered as the basis for the transcendental conception of reason in Kant's philosophy, which leads to an idealistic world conception and is founded on thinking a priori. It contains examples of the art works of the selected artists. It also deals with the content of RVP in relation to sensory perception and didactics of art education, with a specific purpose of designing an art project in art education. The essence of the didactic part is to devise an art project with the focus on human senses. Each of the tasks is centred on one of the senses: sight, smell, hearing, touch and taste. This project is further tested in practice with the help of the second grade students of elementary school and high school. The results are then analysed and evaluated. The amended form of the project can be currently used by art teachers. The selected tasks are the basis for the creative, authorial process of art work, which reflects the effect of the tasks and develops the students' further abilities.
