ANOTATION The subject of this bachelor's thesis is to look at the complex of image and photography and their role as a graphic element. It's dedicating mostly to collage techniques, whose authors are chosen from the Czech art in the early 20th century. The following section presents the work of contemporary artists. Theoretical principles discussed in the work are converted into art award for students of Secondary Vocational School of Education and Higher Vocational School of Education and Social Sciences. Dream in Czech art of the first half of the 20th century and the dream theme in art education

The main aim of this thesis is concerned with dream as an inspirational source and as specific state of mind. Theoretical part describes dream from psychological point of view but also dream ramifications on the art in the first half of the 20th century. The thesis describes not only an introduction of surrealism as a new art style in French and Czech countries, but also birth of new art techniques. The work also maps dream reports of Jindřich Štyrský and their depictions as an author's primary source of imagination. Didactic part includes a survey aimed at sixth grader's dreams and didactic project consists of four painting tasks. Each task thematically follows specific parts of theoretical chapter. Metamorphoses of Narrator in Novels of Jaromír John

Metamorphoses of Narrator in Novels of Jaromír John This diploma paper focuses on the function of the narrator and his various forms in John's prosaic work. It deals with the issue of the construction of the fictional world and how the narrator influences the reader's understanding of the described events. Primarily, we try to compare the narrative categories of the main contemporary concepts as influenced by Shlomith Rimmon-Kenan, Franz Stanzel and Lubomír Doležel. It is our terminology base. Theoretical understanding of the narrator is the basis for the analysis of John's fiction from the aspect of narrative types applied to a selected sample of author's works: the anthology of the tales with war theme Večery na slamníku, novels Moudrý Engelbert, Výbušný zlotvor, Pampovánek, Honda Cibulků; marginally Estét and other works. Concurrently this work aims to describe construction methods that are typical for John's creative style - it is mainly the use of irony, the principle of collage and documentary elements. It shows that the author's work at that time belonged to the experimental stream of Czech prose. Also, we observe the relationship between author's prose work and his aesthetic concept. Collage and its development peripeties with in connection to nontraditional means of expression and artistic techniques

The topic of this diploma thesis is the development and transformation of a collage which overlaps to non-traditional expression means and art techniques. The theoretical part deals with the change of a collage and its peripetials. It presents reflections on what still can be considered a collage, not only in terms of techniques with collages closely related (eg, assemblages, de-collage), but mainly in terms of the individual principles that allow to grasp collage as a concept and to observe it in various domains. The issue of a collage, examined in the theoretical part, is transformed into a thematic serie, which is presented in the form of didactic structures that were implemented in school practice and reflected by the teachers. The artistic part depicts an author's project using one of the presented collage principles - joining of individual components into the resulting whole. The project, among other things, deals with the question of whether it is possible to construct an identity of a certain place using visual records of different participants separate pages of the book. Bc. Renáta Šťastná Abstrakt v anglickém jazyce This thesis -on Archimboldo - explores the possibilities of using the technique of collage in normal teaching in primary and secondary school. The goal of the work is to introduce primary school students to the technique of collage and to awaken in them visual arts appreciation based on metaphorical thinking . In each section a presentation is made on the work of famous painters in order to: - awaken creativity and an ability to create in order to enable students to experience success with their own work - teach critical thinking and self-reflection. - become aware of the influences which motivated painters to create each work. The practical section sets out tasks undertaken and based on their findings are recommendations on how they are to be put into practice.
Pictorial world of Leon Benett and Jules Verne - timeless inspirations in art and school

The following thesis uses Léon Bene 's illustra ons in Jules Verne's books as a star ng point. It examines their influence in Art history and determines possible direc ons both in pedagogical aspect and in one owns art work. It is based on three parts - theore cal research, educa onal transforma on and art work. The Theore cal part studies the characteris cs of the world, created together by Verne and Bene . It examines the technique of the illustra ons in ques on - xylography - and also the mul liner tool, which was discovered to be a key principle in the process of xylography making. This tool may be considered as a connec on between Léon Bene and those taking his illustra ons as a star ng point or working with them otherwise. The Educa onal part developes further the discovered themes and finds various possibili es of their educa onal transforma on. It focuses on the topic given by the book Two Years' Vaca on and the connected theme of the island. The theme is also explored in the Authorial part, which begins with photographical studies and subsequently closes with an authorial collec on of graphical prints. Abstract The bachelor thesis presents the work of the artist - Jiřina Adamcová coming from evangelical origins and who has not been so far researched that much. The thesis focuses on her painting with a Christian topic and presents the way of delivering Adamcová's inner spiritual view in the form of combined technique. Actually, the combination of the painting drawing and the graphics with biblical verses, poems and her text from diary it is very much important part of her work. The thesis sets her art in the context of Christian symbolism, her life and the personal conception of Jiřina Adamcová faith. For this analysis of her work, bachelor thesis focuses especially on the cycles of the Resurrection and Pieta, which are examined from iconographic perspective as well as from the method of iconology.
