Analysis of the integrated management system in organizations with different activity

The work peruses a study and analysis of integrated management system in the two basic chapters. The first chapter introduction informs the reader about definitions that describe the IMS term the best. An adumbration of developments in approach to quality, environment and the labour safety and protection follows. One part of the work pays attention to developments in numbers of certifications in the Czech Republic and world-wide to show popularity of the IMS as a certificate able instrument. The theoretic part consists of a listing of brief properties of actual standardisation documents valid in the Czech Republic. The most important documents in each area builds so-called criteria standards thus standards defining requests to introduce and maintain the systems properly. Wide part of the work is dedicated to interpretation of such criteria standards. The first part conclusion deals in a method that is a base and resource for the part two. The second part contains characteristics of two analysed companies, description of individual areas using defined criteria and collected information evaluation. The work has been set up on a base of studying lot of information and documents both in electronic and hard copy versions. All of them have been collected from public sources and from said companies in a direct personal cooperation and communication.
Mobile banking applications based on Java technology

This thesis addresses the issue of mobile banking and analyzes applications, which provides mobile banking services. Aim of this thesis is to compare individual applications and analyze different approaches of applications based on Java technologies. Structure of this thesis is divided into four main parts. First part describes composition of bank services. It defines traditional and direct banking and points out differences between both concepts. Then it tries to show the position of mobile banking within the hierarchy of the bank. Second part gives detailed information about mobile banking itself. There is a research of current mobile banking situation on Czech market in the third part. This research includes products comparison and assessment. The last part focuses on presenting principles and problems of development on mobile phones through Java and then it analyzes these Java solutions in practice. The main contribution of this thesis is to provide information for companies or banks that choose to implement their own new mobile banking solution. Then this thesis should serve as initial analysis, which defines key parts of banking applications and how they should be properly processed. It could help to create efficient and successful mobile banking solution.
Zabezpečení malých internetových obchodů

The thesis describes selected security issues affecting small business e-commerce sites in the European Union and also shows whether such issues exist in authentic applications currently being used by means of a small scale study. It presents several specifics of e-commerce, a summary of European Union (European Community) law with focus on private data protection and unsolicited mail based on literature search and an overview of minimum security requirements for web-based applications. The research part contains an assessment of parts of a source code, documentation, incident response procedures and installation scripts of seven most popular PHP open-source shopping carts with regard to security derived from criteria and directives defined in the theoretical part. A limited field study of possible effects of security (or of lack thereof) on turnover is conducted and results are available at the end of the thesis.
Intranet in the company and its function

Bachelor thesis, entitled "Intranet in the company and its function", deals with today's actual theme, which is related to the intranet and intranet portals. Nowadays, when a lot of information is available, searching for them becomes more complicated and time-consuming for employees. This is ineffective and in competitive environment it is disadvantage, which could mean a failure for the company. Main objective of this thesis is comprehensive introduction of intranet to the reader and to show him the latest trends by the description of its development. Next step is description of advantages and functions of intranet for the company. It also describes to treat about actual themes related to the projection and safety of intranet. This is strengthened in the practical part, where the analysis of intranet in a concrete company is made. In this analysis, facts written in the theoretical part are used.
Securing Windows 7

The main goal of this bachelor's thesis is to analyze security components of operating system Windows 7 and to make a security configuration checklist. The primary information source of this thesis consists of a common security recommendations and best practices. Configuration checklist is tested on two computers, one in primary domain controller role and second is Windows 7 computer joined into its domain. This thesis can be used as a security components overview and also as a step-by-step guide to securing Windows 7 based operating systems. The first part focuses on computer and computer networks security issues, categorization of security threats and possible ways to secure them. It also determines scope which this thesis covers. The second part analyses security components of Windows 7. The third part covers installation, backing up and updating. Fourth part contains a group policy based on analysis which is discussed in the third part.
Electronic payment systems

This bachelor thesis discusses current possibilities of Internet payments made by electronic payment systems and payment cards. It analyzes its security risks and provides security principles. International electronic payment systems PayPal, AlertPay, MoneyBookers and Czech PaySec and E-Commerce 3-D Secure are described in detail and then compared. This comparison provides sellers a choice of an electronic payment system, which is the most suitable for the branch of his activities.
Counter-terrorism strategies, different approaches of U.S. and Germany

Bachelor thesis focuses on the Counter-terrorism concepts of two particular actors of international relations, U.S. and Germany. Both states are aware of the danger represented by terrorism and consider it presently as the primary security threat. However, each of them takes a different approach when combating it. Thesis analyzes goals, methods and means being preferred by these states in fight against terrorism. It compares them and evaluates their complementarity in connection with bilateral cooperation between U.S. and Germany and its contribution to global fight against terrorism.
Energy security of the CR and EU in context of the foreign relations with Russia

This diploma thesis dissertates about energy security of the European Union and the Czech Republic in the context of the foreign relations with Russia. It is focused on Russia as the biggest supplier of energy resources to the fore mentioned regions. Energy dependence of EU and the Czech Republic on Russia exceeds 50 %. This dependency is inevitable and is caused by the insufficiency of EU's and Czech Republic's own resources and above all it is very dangerous because of Russia's frequent nondemocratic behavior. The gap in demand of energy resources cannot be covered even by alternative energy recourses, which are in this thesis divided into renewable recourses and nuclear energy.
Mobile Banking in the Czech Republic and in the World and its Development

This bachelor thesis tries to provide the compact and actual insight to the issue of mobile banking. A reader is acquainted with current offered services which are consequently analysed. The conclusion of this thesis will be treatise on an estimation of the future evolution. The thesis consists of five sections. The first part specifies the issue of the mobile banking and makes the reader acquainted with the history of this banking service. This part is followed by listing a general characteristics which are divided into two groups - positives and negatives. The reader is further acquainted with the functionality and its structure in the next chapter. The third part than analyses a particular forms of mobile banking which are subsequently followed by the issue of security and possible threats. The last part deals with the analysis of the current offered services with the evaluation.
Security aspects of database systems implementation

The aim of this thesis is to provide a comprehensive overview of database systems security. Reader is introduced into the basis of information security and its development. Following chapter defines a concept of database system security using ISO/IEC 27000 Standard. The findings from this chapter form a complex list of requirements on database security. One chapter also deals with legal aspects of this domain. Second part of this thesis offers a comparison of four object-relational database systems - Oracle, IBM DB2, Microsoft SQL Server, and PostgreSQL. Comparative criteria are based upon the list of requirements on database security and reflect specific attributes of the specific type of the data model. The comparison aims at utilization possibilities of each database product as well as its limitations.
