Dynamics of rare and threatened species on local and regional scale- from theory to practice
Lampei Bucharová, Anna ; Münzbergová, Zuzana (advisor) ; Tichý, Lubomír (referee) ; Jiménez, Ares (referee)
To assess the status of a rare plant species, we must first understand the factors that affect the size of populations and their numbers. In this thesis, I study processes affecting plant species prosperity on local scale (paper 1), factors influencing species distribution in landscape and ability of species to colonize new habitats (paper 2) and species traits responsible for gene flow between established populations (paper 3). Since I work with rare plants, I also aim to turn theoretical knowledge into practical recommendations for nature conservation (paper 4) to help effectively preserve rare and endangered species. In the first 3 papers, I work with two rare fern species restricted to serpentine rocks, Asplenium adulterinum and A. cuneifolium, in a study system covering 10 × 10 km. I found that both species are long living (several decades) and in the study region, populations are in a good state and slowly growing. Even very small populations (10 individuals) have quite high chance to survive. In both fern species, I found dispersal limitation, which might be surprising regarding huge production of small spores in ferns (paper 2). The species differ in ploidy and thus, also mating system. A. adulterinum is tetraploid and its main breeding system is intragametophytic selfing. A. cuneifolium is...

Catechesis as an Introduction to the Mass: A Protestant's view
Živný, Tomáš ; Beneš, Ladislav (advisor) ; Opatrný, Aleš (referee)
Katecheze jako uvedení do mše : Očima jednoho evangelíka Summary Catechesis as an introduction to the Mass: A Protestant's view In my diploma thesis I address the relationship between catechesis and the Mass, namely how the believers of the Catholic Church are acquainted with what is (or is meant to be) the centerpiece of their religious life. In the first - theoretical - part of the paper I first explain what the Mass is and how it has evolved historically, which gradually leads me to the analysis of its present form and content. I then turn my attention to catechesis, whose historical development I outline as well, and to its place among the various services of the Church. I also mention the close connection between catechesis and liturgy, which both contain a dimension of the other.Another common feature of catechesis and the Mass is that they are both Christocentric, yet at the same time anthropological in their focus on man. In the second part of my thesis I deal with the practical form of introduction to the Mass, which takes place with the help of catechetical aids (catechisms, books or coloring books). I analyze these aids and then conclude with the mention of the liturgical basis of the catechesis of converts and of those who are preparing for their First Holy Communion. Keywords catechesis, Mass,...

Tactical attitudes to the person affected by abnormal events - psychological aspects
GRECHOVÁ, Michaela
The topic of this thesis is Tactical attitudes to the person affected by abnormal events - psychological aspects; it deals with the psychological aid to persons affected by abnormal events. The theoretical part of the thesis focuses on defining the basic applied terminology and its target which is: ? Mapping the present methods of psychological aid during the timely care of persons affected by abnormal events in the Czech Republic. The practical part has two goals: ? Mapping the present state and the possible development of psychological aid provided in connection with abnormal events from the viewpoint of psychologists of individual components of the Integrated Rescue System (IZS). ? Mapping the needs, values and strategies of mastering the situation by psychologists of IZS components in view of abnormal event In connection with the research target, 6 research questions were formulated. The research part of the thesis is focused on psychologists of the main components of IZS. It tries to summarize their experience, opinions, standpoints, reservations, and also needs and strategies of mastering the situation in connection with providing psychological aid in the early stage after the abnormal event. The qualitative research is implemented in the thesis by the method of questionnaire investigation with 16 open questions. Data collection was done in the form of a phone talk with several respondents, questionnaire method is combined with the method of structured talk. The investigated sample consists of 11 respondents ? psychologists of the main IZS components. 7 respondents were firemen (HZS ? Fire Rescue Service), 3 policemen (CR Police) and one psychologist of ZZS (Medical Rescue Service). The answers of individual respondents were recorded and the complete transcriptions of answers are stated in Annexes to thesis. The acquired data were interpreted by the author in the way representing the answers to research questions. To achieve a well arranged result, this interpretation was summarized into several points from which the results of research follow which are discussed in more detail in the following chapter. It was found out in the answers to research questions: ? What drawbacks are seen by IZS psychologist in the present system of providing psychological aid to persons affected by MU (abnormal events), ? Which aspects of the psychological aid provided to persons affected by MU are considered for well-functioning by the psychologist ? What possibilities of future development are seen by IZS psychologists in the field of psychological aid to persons affected by MU ? According to IZS psychologists, by what factors are limited other targets and development of the psychological aid to persons affected by MU ? What values, needs and mastering strategies and sources are applied by psychologist in connection with interventions during and after abnormal events ? What methods of psychological aid are applied by the addressed IZS psychologists during the early care of persons affected by MU? The chapter Discussion contains a more detailed analysis of results. During the research performance, other not formulated questions occurred concerning not completely clear or not defined border between the psychological and psychosocial aid which the thesis tries to determine. It may be stated in the end that the research questions were answered in the practical part of thesis. The research questions were formulated in such a way that the answers on them represent the base for SWOT analysis of the system of providing psychological aid by IZS components. I believe for this reason, it may be utilized not only for study purposes.

Mass Health Damage - the Emergency Medical Service Operating Procedure when in Terrain
SHÝBALOVÁ, Ivana
Abstract Mass Health Damage ? the Emergency Medical Service Operating Procedure when in Terrain The bachelor work topic is the procedure of the Emergency Medical Service (EMS) during the mass health damage. Though it concerns the EMS procedures only, we should not forget the work of the other integrated rescue forces, e.g. the Police, and the Firemen squad. The cooperation of these is quite usual during the mass health damage intervention, and good-working emergency system guarantees the effective dealing with the emergency states. For the best dealing though, the emergency medical rescuers are very important to orienteer in the concrete event issues. The theory concerns the complex issues of the mass health damage. At the very beginning, the main terms such as emergency state are defined. A short excursion to the history of the Disaster Medicine proceeds. There we can trace the very first procedures of the pre-hospital care during the war conflicts, and the first aid steps which are still up-to-date in today?s practice. Because of the out-standing significance of the good-working cooperation within the emergency system, the part of the work concerns the emergency system itself. Next chapters deal with the real operating procedures of the EMS at the field of the mass health damage and with the injuries sorting methods. The practice was focused on the mapping of the practical knowledge of the rescuers, concerning the mass health damage. The survey was realized quantitatively, using anonymous questionnaires. The data was collected from February till April 2013. The basic research aggregate for the data-collecting were the members of EMS working at the position of medical rescuer, branch Southern-Bohemian. The research questionnaires were spread electronically, and in pencil-paper form, too. There were 150 questionnaires sent in total, 76, 6% came back, it means 115 were filled in the proceeding research evaluation. The respondents were informed about the research aim and the rule of anonymity before inquiring. The questionnaires consisted of 20 closed one-choice questions. Questions 1 to 6 were only formal, serving the closer knowledge of the respondent. Questions 7 to 20 were to find about the respondent?s knowledge concerning the issues of the mass health damage. Those we used for the next verifying of the hypothesis. It says that the members of EMS have sufficient knowledge of the mass health damage procedures. The data we gained were subsequently assessed, each question was evaluated separately and the data was put into the graphs and tables. These show bot, the relative and the absolute frequency of gained answers. The defined hypothesis was statistically evaluated using the Chi test. The resulting level of significance rejected the null hypothesis and thus confirmed the hypothesis H1, which says that awareness of emergency medical services crews on the procedures for collective impairment of health is sufficient. The aim of the bachelor?s work was to map the procedures and knowledge concerning the mass health damage. The respondents were the medical rescuers. This aim was fulfilled. The statistic evaluation of the questioning and the confirmed hypothesis show on the fact, that the medical rescuers have the basic knowledge concerning the mass health damage procedures.

Pre-hospital emergency care of patients with carbon monoxide intoxication
HAJÍČKOVÁ, Iva
The bachelor's thesis deals with the topic of the pre-hospital emergency urgent care for patients poisoned by the carbon monoxide. This issue has been known already for a number of years, but only in the last time it started to be presented more frequently in media. The carbon monoxide is a colourless gas which is not recognizable by senses. It comes into being as a secondary product of the not perfect combustion of the carbonaceous substances. The seriousness of these symptoms depends on the intensity of intoxication. The target of this thesis was to map the issue of treating the client with the suspect of poisoning by carbon monoxide from the viewpoint of the Medical Rescue Service and other components of the Integrated Rescue System. Moreover I verified the knowledge of lay public in connection with the intoxication by carbon monoxide. The research took place in the form of half-managed talks with the medical rescuer and physicians of the Medical Rescue Service of the South Bohemian Region. The same research procedure was carried out in the Firemen Corps of the South Bohemian Region. The respondents were asked eight questions finding out how many cases of the carbon monoxide intoxication they encountered in their practice, what the most frequent reasons caused the intoxication and what care was provided to the intoxicated persons. Among the lay public, the knowledge was established by the survey method. Also this research complex consisted of nine respondents, having been addressed accidentally in the schools, during travelling in town, in business centres and during sport events. Most frequently were among the enquired persons: students, also a nurse or deputy director of a company. The respondents answered seven pre-printed questions. The sense of these questions was to find out if at least a small part of the lay public has some idea of the intoxication of the carbon monoxide. If they ever encountered the intoxication by the carbon monoxide, how they would behave in this situation and in what way they would provide the first aid. In both parts of the research, the results are presented in the charts, to have a better survey. In has turned out in the talks concerning the occurrence of the intoxication by the carbon monoxide that the length of practice is not very important, because also the persons working in the branch for a longer time have no such high number of interventions concerning intoxication by the carbon monoxide as some of their colleagues working in practice only several years. Moreover it was established that the most cases of intoxication appeared in connection with geyser and subsequently during fires. The health state of affected persons ranged from the light intoxication up to very heavy intoxication with the subsequent death. Depending on these states, the experts provided the adequate pre-hospital care completed subsequently in the hospital facility. It turned out that although the most respondents were not able to say if the number of intoxications by the carbon monoxide has been increasing or decreasing, their answers are identical in the most cases and indicate that their number has been rather decreasing Concerning the lay public, only a small part of respondents was interviewed and the result of research cannot be quantified. This part of the research has shown that although nobody of the enquired persons encountered the intoxication by the carbon dioxide, the respondents know in the most cases how they should behave in case of the intoxication and in what way the first aid should be provided. The most frequent source of their information of carbon monoxide intoxication and the first aid was the knowledge acquired during studies. Further details concerning the research are specified in more detail in the discussion. The general awareness of people concerning the intoxication is on a good level thanks to education and media.

Nursing care of the child with constitutional dermatitis
OLIŠAROVÁ, Věra
ABSTRACT Constitutional dermatitis is one of the most frequent skin diseases that come into being especially on an allergic basis. Establishing the number of individuals suffering from this disease is immensely difficult, although its growth has become obvious in recent years. Combined with this, the need of sufficient information in relationship with this diagnosis has grown, too. The thesis is aimed at surveying the knowledge of nurses in this field and at establishing the situation in the field of providing information on regime measures. Further, the thesis is aimed at surveying the informedness of parents of children suffering from constitutional dermatitis and verifying whether the measures related to this disease are observed. Altogether, five such work hypotheses were formed. The first hypothesis found out the differences in the knowledge of nurses in dermatological and pediatric surgeries, on the questions of the lifestyle of children suffering from constitutional dermatitis. The second hypothesis found out, whether parents requesting information on the disease, more frequently turn to nurses in the surgeries of pediatricians than to those in dermatological surgeries. The third hypothesis focused on surveying the informedness of parents of children concerning regime measures. The fourth hypothesis focused on surveying the parents{\crq} informedness of associations of patients suffering from this disease. The last, fifth hypothesis dealt with surveying the situation in observing the regime measures related to this disease. The second, third and fourth hypotheses were confirmed within the actual research, while the first and fifth hypotheses were not confirmed. The research was carried out in the Regions of South Bohemia and West Bohemia, in cooperation with the doctors and nurses in dermatological and pediatric surgeries. The quantitative exploration research, using the method of questioning was applied. The technique of data collection was that of an anonymous questionnaire. For the research purposes, two kinds of questionnaires were handed out, a different questionnaire for nurses and a different one for the parents of children suffering from constitutional dermatitis. The research set consisted of about 30 nurses from the above institutions, and 45 parents of children suffering from constitutional dermatitis. The outcomes of the research were summed up in the research part of this thesis and compared with expert literature and my experience. The information obtained from this thesis gave rise to a manual for pediatric nurses that contains basic information related to the questions of constitutional dermatitis. A great contribution of this thesis is the possibility to compare the theoretical knowledge of nurses and its practical use in everyday life and nursing care.

Experimental analysis of friction coupling in triple blade bundle under rotation
Pešek, Luděk ; Půst, Ladislav ; Bula, Vítězslav ; Vaněk, František ; Cibulka, Jan
In the contribution the experimental analysis of these blades in two opposed bundles under rotation will be presented. One-point electromagnetic synchronized pulse excitation served as a force excitation for analysis of resonant vibration under different revolution speeds. The force level was evaluated from supply current calibrated by dynamic scale measurement. The responses of the blades were measurement by strain-gauges placed on the blades with a slip-ring signal transmission. After sufficient level of first flexural (axial) blade vibration the electromagnetic force was turned off and vibration attenuations were analyzed. The dynamic behaviour of the blades and results of damping are in a good accordance with the numerical modelling.
