Butterflies
Laube, Lukáš ; Vrhel, František (referee) ; Skupnik, Jaroslav (advisor)
The present paper is concerned with male prostitutes, whom the author calls "butterflies". Its aim is to portray this groups' everyday reality and life on the streets, however, the name of the city and their specific meeting points are to remain unrevealed. According to their age, "butterflies" can be divided into three groups, the oldest ending at the age of thirty, when "butterflies" become literally unsellable. The social origin of "butterflies" consists of several factors which are the cause of their ending up on the streets and selling their bodies. This "business" is a predominantly seasonal issue, since the number of "butterflies" severely increases during the summer months. As for their ethnic origin we can clearly conclude that above 50 % of the people earning their living as male prostitutes are ethnic Romas. The majority of "butterflies" are heterosexually oriented. It is important to understand that their behavior can be completely explained by financial motivations, that is, they are merely trying to survive on the streets by any means possible. A unanimous community among "butterflies" is non-existent, instead, they form systems of alliances, which occasionally cooperate. Their lack of self-reflection implies that they are often unable or unwilling to cope with their situation and pretend to...

Third-party custody according to § 45 of the Family Code Act.No 94/1963 Coll.
STELLNEROVÁ, Alena
Abstract The focus of this thesis is to determine the issues of Third-party custody according to § 45 of the Family Code. Third-party custody is a form of foster care. A custody request according to § 45 of the Family Code is generally submitted by child's grandparents, but also other relatives. Yet it is possible for a person who is not related to the child by blood to apply for custody if they can guarantee a proper education. Third-party custody is determined primarily upon child's interests. The aim of my work was to establish reasons behind submitting a custody request. The research pool included families under supervision of municipal authority Dačice that have a single child or more children in custody. The pool consisted of 13 families, 17 adults and 22 minors. In order to reach the objective the qualitative research was chosen, I employed survey research, semi ? structured interview with individual respondents who have a child in custody and content analysis. 17 families with children in custody under supervision of municipal authority Dačice participated in the interviews. Questions were open. Every respondent was given a chance to make their own statement. Interviews were held in January and February 2013 either at municipal authority Dačice's offices or in the respondents' household, in one case the interview was conducted at respondent's workplace. The interview took approximately 1 hour for each respondent. Respondents were given an explanation why the interview was being conducted and were assured that all information given during the interview will remain anonymous. All respondents agreed to the semi-structured interview. Additional information was obtained from case files of minors, who were placed in custody of third adult by court and are overseen by social care department of municipal authority Dačice. All cases are overseen by the appropriate municipal authority based on minor's permanent residence. The research indicates that the reasons behind the third-party's custody requests according to § 45 of the Family Code lies within a dysfunctional biological family. In many cases the reason behind a custody request was a combination of various factors. Most often the reason was an unfit mother who either didn't want custody of the child or was incapable of caring for the child due to drug or alcohol abuse. The fact that these are mostly single or divorcing mothers plays a role too. In other cases there were fathers who failed at caring for their children due to the mother dying or abandoning the family. Research shows that the maternal grandparents are those who request custody most often. Only one respondent wasn't related to the child by blood. Considering the issue of grandparents being awarded custody most frequently the reasonable question is that of an average age of the respondents which was between 60 and 70 years. That it is primarily the grandparents who apply for custody is undoubtedly result of them having an emotional connection to the child and they feel morally obliged to take care of their grandchildren. They are aware of the family situation, they know what is going on within the family and how the parents wield or don't wield their parental responsibility. Children in custody of their blood relatives with close family ties adapt easier. It is to be expected that such children won't suffer from identity perception disorder. They know their roots, family values and rituals; they know where they come from.

Klevetová, Dana ; Pelikán, Jiří (advisor) ; Votavová, Milada (referee) ; Lorenzová, Jitka (referee)
We have been on the threshold of 21 century, where the structure of population is to be changed because of the decrease in natality, longer life expectancy and increase in number of advanced age people. For the first time in humankind history there are going to be four age categories, which have not realised their mutual roles yet. Contemporary family has been changing its structure and mutual family relationships. The state has taken control of some family functions so senior population has released its juniors from duties and the middle age generation neither feel the responsibility to prepare for their own old age or induce their children to respect the great age. There is a character of current society of hard individualism, the wish to get graduated, having their own life styles. The ability to understand people his or her need to live with somebody has disappeared. Hence it is quite difficult to achieve good relationships. The love for a man and understanding of the differences of the others has faded out somewhere. The old people are losing their dignity and feeling endangered of the time where they live. They stress inconvenient society nature and instructional patterns for contemporary youth. The upbringing is one of the basic social functions that are based on forming individuals and their...

Evolution and advancements of human activity is unstoppable, still we should not forget about basic natural processes which proceed no matter how man can influence them. Water is one of the main constructors of life and is necessary for function of everything live on the planet Earth. It often is categorized among the inexhaustible resources, still there lacks enough drinkable water. It is consumption grows in recent years with fast development of cities. It is the most important part of life on Earth and with urbanization and anthropogenic interference water is negatively affected and thus it is processes in nature. Interfering with water cycle makes for higher occurrences of droughts and floods, the quality of water streams suffers. Urban areas lack the surface where water could soak into the subsoil and underground water resources shrink. Through all these influences with which we affect natural water cycles the need for water and its consumption grows in our societies. For effective use of water comes up the idea of using not only the drinkable water but waste water and other types as well. Sources can be various, rain water, reused water. The focal point of this thesis is to be the impetus of discussion concerning the use of rain water and directly cleaning and reusing the water which comes straight from our homes. Rain water fills up underground water resources and also could be used in place of potable water. Substituting the potable water in activities and industries where such a high quality water is not needed and could be easily replaced with grey water. Grey water, being the waste water that comes from our bathrooms, is easily cleaned and can be used for various necessities. Current state where the potable water is used in absolute majority of human life appears to be extremely wasteful and unecological. Use of grey water and rain water is a possibility of ecological and thrifty water management which could prevent environmental damages and save water resources for the next generations.

Minor mothers in the Romani communities
Buzková, Alena ; Večerka, Kazimír (advisor) ; Víšek, Petr (referee)
The bachelor thesis "Minor mothers in the Romani communities" addresses the phenomenon of minor mothers in the traditional Romani community. More generally, the demographic behavior of the Romanies is analyzed, and discussed with respect to the overall demographic data valid for the population of the Czech Republic. This thesis and its conclusions are based on the author's own research performed in Poschlá, a suburb of the city of Vsetín. The Romani community in Vsetín is introduced, including notes on its history. It is pointed out that the community still exhibits remarkable respect to the outstanding role of the typical extended family structure, which significantly influences the demographic behavior of the community. The author also notes fundamental differences concerning the mean lifespan of the Romanies versus the majority population, by which the typical early timing and extension of the female reproduction period can be explained naturally. Such conclusions are justified by the author's own research dealing with three overlapping generations of the Romani mothers in Vsetín, with focus on their age at the time of their first delivery. The thesis also discusses various aspects of social work and its efficiency regarding the issues related to minor mothers and their families.

The appraisal of development of tax proportion of budgetary incomes of municipalities and regions in the Czech Republic
Poláková, Tereza ; Peková, Jitka (advisor) ; Krbová, Jana (referee)
The aim of this diploma thesis is a detailed analysis of tax incomes of municipalities and regions with focus on four particular municipalities and one region in a practical part. From the year 2001 to 2015 the share of tax incomes and their development are evaluated as a part of total incomes. The theme is highly topical due to ongoing discussions among lawmakers on the subject of budgetary allocation of taxes. The law determining the budgetary allocation of taxes is modified frequently, that is why knowing the impact of changes on particular municipalities or regions is helpful. This knowledge can be useful base for planning new adjustments of budgetary allocation of taxes. In the theoretical part there are mentioned expert opinions on financial management of municipalities and regions that arise from their functions and positions. The emphasis is put on incomes of municipalities and regions, especially on tax incomes. Particular changes from 2001 to 2015 in law regulating budgetary allocation of taxes are described here with their impacts on municipalities and regions. Incomes and management of selected municipalities representing various size categories and Liberec region are analysed in the practical part. Financial self-sufficiency is evaluated here. In general municipalities are more financial self-sufficient than regions. This thesis is further dealing with individual tax incomes and impacts of changes in budgetary allocation of taxes on their size. Making models of theoretical incomes is used to simulate effects of diverse law adjustments. Results of the analysis show that tax incomes of municipalities and regions are generally increasing. During the observed period there was tendency to lower the growth of tax incomes of large cities, to increase the growth of tax incomes of small municipalities and to straighten the level of tax incomes of medium municipalities thanks to changes in budgetary allocation of taxes. Tax incomes of regions were increased thanks to changes in budgetary allocation of taxes despite of partial decrease in particular segments of tax incomes after 2012.
