The Comparison of Efficiency of Approximate Methods for Solving Transportation Problem

The goal of my work is to analyze difference between optimal solution and solution we get when using approximate methods (i.e. NWCM, LCM, VAM). To get necessary data, I have created an application in VBA (both for generating and solving). The application interacts with LINGO. However, its most important parts are procedures for these approximation methods which can be run separately. Therefore, after explaining necessary theory, I focus on approximation methods and explain every single code for them. The last part of my work is the mentioned comparison. In this part, I analyze difference between optimum and approximate solution for five chosen dimensions of transportation tableau. Last but not least, I study whether there is any dependence of difference on number of constrains.

ANALYSIS OF LOGISTIC PROCESSES IN LOMBARDINI SLOVAKIA, s.r.o. ,

The aim of the bachelor thesis is to describe logistic processes which are running within the particular company and which are inevitable for continuous and effective production in accordance with customers' demands. Further, the purpose is to identify main deficiencies of these processes on the ground of the author's theoretical knowledge in the logistics sphere, and to propose potential improvements. This thesis is divided into two parts. The first, theoretical section is focused on the definition and development of logistics, as a tool for increasing effectiveness and competitiveness of the company. Part of this section is also a description of the concept of minimizing total logistic costs. Second, practical section describes logistic processes and tasks as they are performed in selected company. In this section, author focused mainly on purchasing, warehousing, and material flow through out the company during the whole process of production of final product. As a part of this block is also a identification of main deficiencies and proposed improvements. Hodnocení ekonomických a ekologických souvislostí přepravy nákladu

Tato práce pojednává o ekonomických a ekologických souvislostech přepravy nákladu. Je zpracována na základě teoretických poznatků z literatury a rozhodovacího procesu fiktivní firmy. K tomuto procesu byla použita multikriteriální analýza. Práce obsahuje popis logistických souvislostí přepravy nákladu, vysvětluje jednotlivé dopady dopravy na životní prostředí a externality dopravy. Sleduje jaké jsou dopady přepravy konkrétního druhu zboží na konkrétní trase. Cílem této práce je zhodnotit ekonomické a ekologické souvislosti přepravy.

Overview of the express courier services in Czech republic

In this work I would like to deal with express courier service, its limits and application in the economic system and also make a small overview of the companies that supply this service in the Czech republic. In the second chapter is an overview of the history of the logistics in the Czech republic and how they help other companies. The third chapter will give you a little overview of some czech companies - two big ones and two very known express couriers. The fourth and last chapter gives an introduction into optimisation of the "travel salesman problem".

Bakalářská práce se v první části zabývá procesem vývoje mezinárodní kontejnerové přepravy, procesem standardizace přepravních jednotek, jejich definováním a popisem. V druhé části pak zmiňuje nejpoužívanější typy přepravních smluv, jejich podstatné náležitosti a subjekty. Poslední část práce se věnuje jednotlivým druhům přepravy s hlavním důrazem kladeným na přepravu námořní a kombinovanou.

Contractual Ensuring of International Transportation

This diploma thesis address to a contractual ensuring of an international transportation from the business and the legal points of view as a part of intenrational business operations. It describes the clasification of freight transports and its economic significance in the world an in the case of the Czech Republic, as well. The thesis also characterizes the different types of transport contracts from the points of view of the Czech legislation as well as international treaties that is the Czech Republic a part of, including the ways of ensuring the customs declaration of transported goods. The thesis also includes a practical part focused on specifics of a dangerous goods transportation and the analysis of the related risks.
