Qulitative and Quantitative Research into the Performance of a Top Level Goalkeeper in Football
činnostní profil této hráčské funkce a zachytit kritická místa výkonu brankáře během utkání. Hlavním důvodem výběru tohoto tématu, je aplikace a využití získaných výsledků z výzkumu v budoucí praxi (zavedení získaných výsledků do tréninkového procesu). KLÍČOVÁ SLOV A: činnostní struktura,...

The relation between n-3 polyunsaturated fatty acids and cellular sensors of energetic state AMPK and SIRT1
Zouhar, Petr ; Kalous, Martin (referee)
Relation between n-3 polyunsaturated fatty acids and cellular sensors of energetic state Petr Zouhar Abstract The regulatory proteins, which are able to react to energetic state of the cell by feed-back mechanism, are important factors in regulation of metabolic processes. Big attention is focused on the AMP activated kinase (AMPK) and the NAD+ activated deacetylase SIRT1. These enzymes interact together and their stimulation increases mitochondrial biogenesis and fatty acid oxidation. Due to this fact they function beneficially against the onset of obesity, insulin resistance and ageing. Fasting, exercise and some antidiabetogenic drugs act through these regulators. n-3 polyunsaturated fatty acids (PUFA) are also believed to be beneficial because of their stimulative effects on mitochondrial biogenesis and β-oxidation. Our previous work has showed that intake of higher doses of n-3 polyunsaturated fatty acids (PUFA) in diet leads to increase of AMPK activity in white adipose tissue. New results presented in this thesis show that SIRT1 is essential for increase of β-oxidation stimulators (PPARα etc) expression in response to n-3 PUFA in diet. n-3 PUFA also improve the metabolic profile synergistically in combination with calorie restriction. It occurs probably through the activation of SIRT1/AMPK/PGC-1α...

The role of evolutionarily conserved proteins BIR-1/Survivin and SKP-1 in the regulation of gene expression
Kostrouch, David ; Kostrouch, Zdeněk (advisor) ; Dráber, Pavel (referee) ; Pacák, Karel (referee)
SKIP and BIR/Survivin are evolutionarily conserved proteins. SKIP is a known transcription and splicing cofactor while BIR-1/Survivin regulates cell division, gene expression and development. Loss of function of C. elegans SKIP (SKP-1) and BIR-1 induces overlapping developmental phenotypes. In order to uncover the possible interactions of SKP-1 and BIR-1 on the protein level, we screened the complete C. elegans mRNA library using the yeast two-hybrid system. These experiments identified partially overlapping categories of proteins as SKP-1 and BIR-1 interactors. The interacting proteins included ribosomal proteins, transcription factors, translation factors and cytoskeletal and motor proteins suggesting involvement of the two studied proteins in multiple protein complexes. To visualize the effect of BIR-1 on the proteome of C. elegans we induced a short time pulse BIR-1 overexpression in synchronized L1 larvae. This led to a dramatic alteration of the whole proteome pattern indicating that BIR-1 alone has the capacity to alter the chromatographic profile of many target proteins including proteins found to be interactors in yeast two hybrid screens. The results were validated for ribosomal proteins RPS-3, RPL-5, non-muscle myosin and TAC-1, a transcription cofactor and a centrosome associated...

Control algorithms for e-car
Hrazdira, Adam ; Fiedler, Petr (referee) ; Zezulka, František (advisor)

The Methodics of Investigation of the Sexual Crime Acts (chosen issues) Key words: rape, sexual abuse, investigation Summary This submitted diploma thesis deals with procedures of investigation of crimes rape and sexual abuse, which are two most serious offences within sexual criminal acts. In this work I analyze only some of the most essential moments of investigation, because the theme as a whole exceeds the required extent of the diploma thesis. Most attention is paid to contacts of the prosecuting and adjudicating bodies with the victim and to the acts in which the victim is involved. The introductory part analyzes basic contemporary and prospective legal regulation of all sexual criminal acts given in the present and new criminal codes. Offences of rape and sexual abuse are explicated in more detail. Then the work brings a criminalistic characteristics of these offences with basic statistical data. It points out the decreasing detection rate of these crimes over the last few years. Within the criminalistic characteristics, the thesis shows typical ways of committing these crimes, typical offenders, victims and typical traces. It points out that most offenders committing rape and sexual abuse come from the backgrounds close to the victim. When discussing typical traces, special attention is paid...
