Axle assessment using the EUSAMA methodology
Vítek, Lukáš ; Roupec, Jakub (referee) ; Mazůrek, Ivan (advisor)
This bachaleor thesis deals with optimalization of axle assessment. The introduction is directed to description shock absorber, non-assembling diagnostics and dynamics of vehicles. The automotive suspension is meant to provide comfort and mainly safety for the passengers. Because shock absorber are stressed, it must be controled. The most important kind of non-assembling diagnostics for this thesis is EUSAMA methodology. All measurement are realized with resonant adhesive tester, which is named TriTec. This device is structural simpler, then other one.
Formula Front Wheel Carrier Design Modification
Lněnička, Martin ; Svída, David (referee) ; Ramík, Pavel (advisor)
This thesis deals with the structural design of front wheel hub of Formula Student the car categories in the CAD system. It includes comparison to proposal design of the hubs, different concept of wheel-seat and wheel suspension of a formula cars and a motor-cars. There is described a few version of design front wheel carrier. The first step is proposed assembly wheel of Formula Student and the next step is realized analytic simulation a stress by FEM of the front wheel carrier and his construction modifications.
Design of an Electric Velomobile
Starý, Ondřej ; Blaťák, Ondřej (referee) ; Hejtmánek, Petr (advisor)
The aim of this diploma thesis is the design of an electric velomobile, more precisely its front axle and bodywork, as one of the possible alternatives to cars for cities. First, a research analysis of the available electric velomobiles is carried out. In the next step, which is the design of the electric velomobile itself, the parameters and characteristics of the vehicle are determined. The design of the front axle is based on these. The design and optimization of the suspension geometry, its calculation, steering, and their construction design solutions are carried out here. At the end, the design of the bodywork is made.
Measurement of vehicle suspension bushing characteristics
Kopecký, Petr ; Zháňal, Lubor (referee) ; Porteš, Petr (advisor)
This master’s thesis deals with the measurement of static characteristics of wheel suspension bushings. It includes a structural design of the test device and drawings according to which the device was manufactured. The device has several variations for different stresses and is applicable with possible modifications to various bushings including the ones that do not have common axes. The measurement procedure, the results of the measurements of the static characteristics and their analysis and comparison with the finite element method calculations are also given. The measured characteristics were then added to the model of the axle for multibody simulations.
Design of Formula Student Wheel Suspensions
Formula Car Front Wheel Carrier Simulation Analysis
Gach, Jakub ; Porteš, Petr (referee) ; Ramík, Pavel (advisor)
This Master’s thesis is focused on the suspension of the front wheel, more accurately for specific part, upright. It describes the basic requirements for construction, distribution of uprights, their method of production and types of materials used. It briefly mentions topology optimization and its two optimization methods. Also deals with vehicle dynamics for driving conditions – standing vehicle, braking and cornering. In the practical part, the work is focused on determining the load effects on the upright during the aforementioned driving conditions using MBS software. At the end of the work, FEM stress and deformation analyses are performed for loading on the wheel side and on the suspension side, which are then compared and evaluated.
Design of Device for Vehicle Suspension Elastokinematics Measurement
Pohořelský, Petr ; Vančura, Jan (referee) ; Hejtmánek, Petr (advisor)
In my dissertation, I was concentrated mostly on a pliability of problematic of wheel´s suspension. My thesis is mostly a detail design proposal of a device, which is determined for a measurement and record of wheels suspension system´s elastic deformation. My theoretical part of this thesis is a search of existing devices and its problematic. The other part of my dissertation is a description of individual parts of my designed device and also an analysis of designed components´ intension. My thesis includes calculation, for case of realisation. There is also a design of measuring chain, methods of results´ evaluation after measuring with this device and theoretical analysis of measurement´s inaccuracy.
Engineering design of the vehicle suspension rocker
Poláček, Vojtěch ; Ramík, Pavel (referee) ; Bradávka, Marek (advisor)
Diploma thesis deals with the design and stress analysis of the rocker suspension for an autocross car. The research describes some real cases of using suspension with pushrod and rocker in motorsport. Subsequently, the work deals with the design of the wheel bump/rebound limiting stops and bump/rebound measuring. The challenge is to design a component shape, size and select fit of a rocker with an emphasis on low weight whilst maintaining sufficient strength and rigidity. The design study include stress analysis which leads to optimize the final shape.
Formula Car Rear Wheel Carrier Redesign
Okáník, František ; Porteš, Petr (referee) ; Ramík, Pavel (advisor)
The thesis consists of rear wheel suspension design for light Formula Student racing car, especially design of upright, wheel hub and other parts of the assembly. Design was done in CAD software PTC Creo 2.0. Thesis also mentions calculation of critical wheel loads, wheel bearing life calculation and wheel loads during the race as well as stress analysis in Ansys Workbench and fatigue life analysis.
