Süssová, Karolína ; Brunclík, Miloš (advisor) ; Stauber, Jakub (referee)
Bachelor thesis "Programmatic shift of the Czech Green party: a changing concept of environmental policy" provides an analysis of program's development of the Czech Green party, a specific party of the Czech party system. I use a comparison of available electoral programs prepared by party for elections to the Chamber of Deputies from 1990 to 2013.The comparison reflects both quantitative and qualitative methods of analysis of the electoral programs. The greatest emphasis is placed on environmental topics and green policy. This analysis is set in the context of the historical development of the party, which is generally feature of Green Parties. That is why I also concentrate on two basic concepts of ecological thinking - environmentalism and ecologism, whose different approaches are reflected in the political reality of Green Parties as an ideological conflict by moderates (realos) and radicals (fundis).

Vrbíková, Lucie ; Soukup, Petr (advisor) ; Hendl, Jan (referee)
The thesis "Determinants of environmental concern" is a quantitative analysis that deals with determinants of environmental concern, the scale of new ecological paradigm, environmental behavior and ecological activism. It uses data from an international survey "International Social Survey Project Environment III" from year 2010. Strong predictors came out from the analysis, mainly cultural differences of the respondents and education. The inhabitants of Western Europe and English speaking countries have the strongest environmental concern, in contrast, in post communist countries of Eastern Europe is this concern the smallest. Post materialists and inhabitants of the richer countries have stronger environmental concern and they believe more in science and progress solving ecological problems. The perception of consequences of ecological problems on everyday life is also a strong determinant from which suffers mostly localities out of Europe. The recycling waste is most often carried away in Western Europe and English speaking countries. A strong correlation is between finished education and environmental concern as well as ecological activism, there is a weaker connection to saving natural resources.

Šilhavý, Petr ; Hejlová, Denisa (advisor) ; Shavit, Anna (referee)
The bachelor thesis Specifics of marketing communication of Greenpeace ČR organization presents the Czech affiliate of global non-governmental environmental organization Greenpeace. This thesis looks at the organization from the marketing point of view perspective. Its objective is to identify specific marketing activities of Greenpeace ČR between years 2010 - 2012 on the basis of situational analysis of representative campaigns. Greenpeace does not accept funds from corporations and state institutions and therefore it is dependent on contributions from volunteers. The Czech affiliate is financially autonomous thanks to its accent on fundraising and communication. Greenpeace ČR uses inexpensive marketing and PR tools, as it follows from summary of analyzed campaigns. Due to its limited budget, Greenpeace is forced to use such campaigns which are most addressed to target groups. The main strategies are guerilla marketing and subvertising, PR and lobbing, research in cooperation with experts, online tools and publishing of promotional materials.

Czech non-governmental organisations and EU climate change policy
Stuchlíková, Zuzana ; Najšlová, Lucia (advisor) ; Šlosarčík, Ivo (referee)
The thesis aims to analyse the relations of non-governmental organisations towards the European integration process, which creates an additional platform for their interest representation. This case study focuses on how Czech non-profit organisations, which are dealing in long term with the topic of climate change, try to use the instruments and channels available at the EU level to promote their idea of the 2030 Climate and Energy Framework targets and how the EU climate action policy translates to their understanding of the topic. The thesis is based on the Europeanization theory that assumes that non-state actors are adjusting their behaviour to the existence of another platform of decision making and interest representation. I, therefore, assume, that the selected sample of Czech ecological NGOs tries to actively use the opportunity to participate in the EU decision making - especially because a climate policy is decided mostly at the EU level and therefore the outcomes, such as the 2030 Framework, present another tool to achieve change in the climate policy of the Czech Republic. I conclude that from the perspective of selected NGOs the European climate policy is perceived as an important driver behind the development in this field in both Czech Republic and global negotiations - even though...

Climate changes - a view of conservatism and environmentalism
Červenková, Martina ; Lisa, Aleš (advisor) ; Prorok, Vladimír (referee)
The topic of this thesis is the issue of global warming in terms of political ideology - conservatism and environmentalism.. For comparison, I chose two representatives - Vaclav Klaus and Al Gore. The aim of this work is to compare ideologically conditioned responses and their political implications. This is illustrated by the example of two personalities of world politics representing both different attitudes toward the issue of global warming and climate change and different ideologies - Václav Klaus and Al Gore. The work is methodologically based on an analysis of ideology of conservatism and environmentalism and on an analysis of empirical knowledge regarding global warming.
