Secondary stress prevention of the Pedagogical Faculty students of the University of South Bohemia in České Budějovice

The diploma thesis deals with the topic of stress of university students of field of study teaching. It focuses on the mental health and mental resilience of future teachers, whose professions are among the risky in terms of stress and its health effects. As part of secondary prevention, it examines students' habits in the field of stress management, while evaluating the effectiveness of individual health-beneficial and non-beneficial anti-stress techniques. The work also maps the students development of coping with stress and focuses on stress as a factor influencing academic success.
Stress management in a selected organization

The diploma thesis deals with the issue of stress and stress management in the workplace. The aim of the diploma thesis was to research the influence of stress, stress factors and their causes. Based on a questionnaire survey and an interview, changes are proposed in the current stress management of the company, including in financial terms.

The thesis deals with load, stress and related questions of the working life. Work-related stress brings numerous difficulties not only to affected individuals, but as a result also to organizations. The thesis follows symptoms, impacts, somatic and mental aspects of stress, its types and also types of stressors, which cause this problem. It is concentrated on workload as a specific area of work-related stress, individual resistance to the load, factors of workload and work-related stress and also on coping with problematic situations. The specific topic related to the stress is burnout syndrome. The thesis describes its formation and development, its causes, symptoms in three main levels - mental, physical and level of social relations and then influence of important factors such as personality and work conditions. It is also focused on professions endangered by burnout syndrome and its prevention. The effect of meditation on cortisol levels in saliva

Title: The effect of meditation on cortisol levels in saliva Objectives: The main objective of the research project in this master's thesis was to objectively (based on changes in cortisol levels) and subjectively (by method of questionnaire) study the effect meditation has on stress levels. Methods: The objective method in this work was measuring cortisol in saliva with the help of an established and certified ELISA method on an ELISA reader device. The cortisol level was measured before meditation and after meditation. A method of questionnaire was used to determine the subjective emotions and feelings of the participants before and after meditation. The total surveyed group consisted of 25 healthy men, students of UK FTVS with a valid medical exam, between the ages of 19 - 35. The experimental part and data collection were conducted in two phases. (i) First, it was determined, on ten of the same participants during two consecutive days, which type of meditation (static breathing or dynamic) will be better accepted by the participants and will have a greater effect on lowering cortisol levels. Stress management and personal growth in Organization

This bachelor's thesis focuses on personal growth as a means of coping with stress. The aim of the work is to analyse the stress factors in connection with personal growth. The aim of questionnaire survey of employees as well as unstructured interviews with employees and management is to analyse how the employees are interested in personal growth, how they manage stress and if the personal growth helps them to cope with stress more effectively. The main aim of this thesis is to research the stress factors and the effect of stress in connection with personal growth including suggestions for changes in the current stress management. Based on the questionnaire survey the suggestions for changes in the current stress management including the financial part are mentioned.
Stress management of education prefessionals

This Master´s Thesis focuses on mapping the occurrence of stress in the occupation of pedagogues, its significance, influence and circumstances which affect it. Furthermore, this thesis maps the occurrence of the burn-out syndrome phenomenon, its manifestations and influences which affect it. Also, the thesis deals with stress management and its potential use in the pedagogic field. In this matter, it mostly deals with time management, self-reflection and the influence of positive orientation. In this thesis, the used methods were the use of questionnaires among the educationalists and also dialogues with selected headmasters. The results confirm the existence of connection between the values of the burn-out syndrome and the length of pedagogic career, the age of a person, sex and other studied aspects. Nevertheless, it is important to point out, that the hypotheses based on the studied literature were not confirmed.
Approaches to the prevention and the management of work-related stress in organizations in the Czech Republic and Nordic countries

The Master's thesis deals with work-related stress in its context; preventing and managing it; and compares approaches to preventing and managing work-related stress in the Czech Republic and the Nordic countries. Work-related stress may have a negative impact on physical and mental health or overall quality of life of an individual and it may bring negative implications for an organization. The thesis follows theoretical basis for work- related stress, its factors and consequences from the point of view of an individual as well as an organization. The attention is concentrated on the approaches to preventing and managing work-related stress in organizations in regard to the nature of a work activity, the management level or particular activities carried out by human resources management. It is focusing on stress management precautions taken on the European and national level and describes the process conducted during the development of a programme for preventing and managing work-related stress and its effectivity evaluation. The master thesis Management of personal development deals not only with a theoretical picture about the issue of management of personal development in general perspective but also with a practical insight into the investigated company CNC KOVO s.r.o. focusing on workers, production masters and last but not least the company's executives. The theoretical part features some of the basic concepts of the monitored areas, especially time management, stress management and personality analysis of manager. Acquired knowledge is further applied to the practical part of the thesis, and results in recommendations for enhancing the personal development of employees as well as the company's entire business.
