Overview of present metods and devices for friction coefficient measuring in lubricated contact of rubbing surfaces.
Nešpor, Vít ; Šamánek, Otakar (referee) ; Koutný, Daniel (advisor)
In this thesis was discussed measuring of friction coefficient. Phenomenon of fiction and basic physical methods of determining friction coefficient. were described. This work was rather oriented to modern advanced methods, realised by experimental devices - tribometers. These devices with methods were described in focus to measuring of friction force. Their advantages or disadvatnages were described too. In detail was discussed the accuracy of methods.
Reduction of cranktrain mechanical losses
Lhota, Martin ; Píštěk, Václav (referee) ; Novotný, Pavel (advisor)
The aim of the bachelor thesis Reduction of cranktrain mechanical losses is to describe the issue of lowering mechanical losses occuring in the crank mechanism of internal-combustion engine. Therefore it aims to create a list of mechanical losses main sources, to show suitable methods to determine them, and to describe some of earlier used concepts leading to reduction of friction losses. Further, it is focused on the description and comparison of existing trends by which the given problem can be solved to a certain extent. The thesis also tries to evaluate these trends by an analysis following the standpoint of effectiveness and progressiveness, and to formulate a conclusion.
Effect of lubricant rheology on lubrication film thickness.
Prášilová, Alena ; Šperka, Petr (referee) ; Křupka, Ivan (advisor)
Lubrication is a very important part of mechanical engineering, which ensures high lifetime of machine parts, reduction of friction and wear and also it leads to decreasing of power consumption. In this bachelor`s thesis there is described rheology of newtonian and non-newtonian lubricants and its effect on lubrication film thickness. Measured central film thickness values are compared with theoretical prediction.
Slide bearing parameters of modern combustion engines
Dvořák, Martin ; Píštěk, Václav (referee) ; Novotný, Pavel (advisor)
The objective of this bachelor‘s thesis is to provide general information on sliding bearings and their advantages and disadvantages. The thesis is divided into five parts that deal with individual topics and issues. The first one is concerned with the bearings themselves, their partition and development. The second part compares sliding bearings and rolling contact bearings and their pros and cons. The next part then describes their main parameters, e.g. the friction loss or various lubrication methods. The fourth one summarizes several examples of practice, like lubricating in extreme working conditions and an overview of bearing failures. The last part deals with the construction of sliding bearings used in combustion engines, materials used to produce sliding bearings and with the issue of lubrication, which is essential for this type of bearings.
Rotation Electric Actuator: parameter estimation and control
Palaj, Lukas ; Houfek, Lubomír (referee) ; Grepl, Robert (advisor)
The bachelor’s thesis deals with design of printed circuit board in the first part. The board will be used for connecting rotation electric actuator (REA) to the card MF624. It is written about electronic throttle and it’s particular parts, it’s connection to the card and estimation of parameters necessary for composing a virtual model in Simulink in the second part. After that control for the model is designed.
Reduction of Valvetrain Mechanical Losses
Kučera, Pavel ; Píštěk, Václav (referee) ; Novotný, Pavel (advisor)
The topic of this thesis is the mechanical losses in the valvetrain. The purpose is to describe the creation of individual losses and their possible reduction. The main factor of creation of losses is friction. The result of this thesis is to highlight the possible methods to reduce friction and other influences acting on the valvetrain. The main benefit is description various types of surface and design modifications of valvetrains, which are already used or are in development.
Methods for improving frictional features of rubbing surfaces
Fojtík, Jakub ; Černý, Michal (referee) ; Šamánek, Otakar (advisor)
This bachelor thesis describes several methods of improving surface's tribological properties. There are many forms of tribological processes, depending on structure, geometry, material properties, relative motion and loading of system elements. The main aim is to minimize wear and friction. It can be controlled by improving surface structure, geometry and by increasing of surface roughness with coating deposition methods, chemical-heat treatment and surface texturing. These methods can be also used for reparation of degraded rubbing surfaces or for surface modification in order to establish suitable lubrication conditions. An introduction to micro/nanotribology and tribological processes in micro/nanoscale is also described in this study.
Gravital conveyor for transport
Fatka, Milan ; Pokorný, Přemysl (referee) ; Kašpárek, Jaroslav (advisor)
The aim was to propose a conveying gravity path for the transport of steel casting in the context of inter-transfer service. The conveyor is dealt with valid norms with regard to simplicity of design, production and assembly (disassembly) with broad use of standardized parts. It was also seen to be done to take advantage of the proposal in solution of similar specification.
Development of UHV STM/AFM
Pavelec, Jiří ; Neuman, Jan (referee) ; Kalousek, Radek (advisor)
The main focus of the thesis is on the actuator, which is used for nanopositioning of laser beam in-site AFM (Atomic Force Microscopy). The appropriate shape of supply pulse and frequencies were searched and optimized. They make slip-stick motion of the piezo actuator. Possibilities of solving troubles with UHV (Ultra High Vacuum) are described on the basis of experiment and simulation.
Evaluation of Surface Layers of Ball and Sliding Bearings Components
Šafář, Martin ; Hutařová, Simona (referee) ; Doležal, Pavel (advisor)
This bachelo’s thesis solve the problems abrasion film bearing. The purpose of this thesis was used four type film, ISOFLON, Xylan 1010, DLC a PTFE + Niborit 5P.By one of tendenci is specifi coefficient friction over tribological test. On the next tendenci was size film for and after a tribological test find, elese size abrasion. Was make chemical analyse of all film.To elements interaction study light microscopy, scanning electron microscopy equipped by energy dispersive mikroanalyses.
