Specificity nurse care off children at infantile institution from spectacle nursing sister
JAMBOROVÁ, Lenka
The Diploma Thesis deals thematically with the specifics of nursing care specialized in accommodating the needs of children in nurseries from the perspective of nurses. Nurseries are medical facilities for children from birth to three years of age. In some cases, children may stay in a nursery beyond the age of three years, e.g., if they wait until arrangements have been made for their sibling, so that they could be allocated to the same foster family of children?s home together. The specifics of nursing care for children in nurseries vary according to their age and needs. Regular regimen has to consist of time intervals for feeding, playtime, outdoor activities, sleep, and daily hygiene. It is thereof necessary to observe a certain routine schedule and build up a sense of order in the children from very early age. Dunovský divides children?s needs into biological, psychological, social, and developmental needs. The children?s needs are described as variable at the different stages of their development. Their biological needs, however, are constant and require full satisfaction for undisturbed development of every child. The objective of the Thesis is to find out whether the children?s needs are properly satisfied from the perspective of the nurses who work in such nurseries. With this aim in mind, we have set out four research questions, all of which we have been able to answer successfully. For the purposes of our study, we applied qualitative research methods, specifically, the method of structured interviews. During the interviews, the respondents answered 32 prepared questions. The research team was comprised of general and pediatric nurses from seven locations of the Children?s Centers in Jihlava, Znojmo, Strakonice, Prague, and Dvůr Králové, and from the Children?s Homes in Kamenice nad Lipou and Stránčice. The interviews were transcribed into casuistry and processed further as categorization tables. The survey revealed that the nurses at the nurseries under study were satisfying the children?s biological, psychological, as well as social needs to the extent of their best conscience, human resources availability, and the technical provisions of their respective workstations. The children in their care could be attended to even better, if there were more personnel, a new gym, swimming pool, and another pavilion, where the children could be transferred after reaching the age of six years. Based on the results of the survey, an information flyer has been drawn up containing compiled information for the public as to the role and function of nurseries and available options in the area of foster family care. The Thesis might also be used as educational material by medical/nursing staff members in the Czech Republic, and raise awareness about any existing shortcomings in the care for these children.

The Concept of Pollution Kegare in Japan at the Turn of 16th and 17th Century
Mornsteinová, Lucie ; Labus, David (advisor) ; Sýkora, Jan (referee)
The major objective of this master thesis, is to describe the process of forming and development of the social groups connected with the concept of ritual pollution kegare in Japan at the turn of 16th century. The main questions are: In which direction did the development of these groups tend to go from the outset of the Japanese Middle Ages? Did the policies of the unifiers of Japan cause any disruptions to this development, and if so, what was the new direction? Was creation of the Edo outcaste order also motivated by an effort to restrict access to strategical commodities, or was it only a side effect of individual edicts and restrictions? To answer these questions I used two approaches. At first I diachronically described the development of groups connected with the concept of ritual pollution from the ancient times, and to this data I applied Mary Douglas's grid and group theory. Results of this show that during the time period in question development of groups of eta tanners was significantly accelerated, while the status of the non-persons groups of hinin was stagnating, or regressing. This thesis hopefully offers a brief insight into the overlooked aspects of Japanese history, and sheds some light on the reason for the discrimination of descendants of the burakumin group which in Japan...

Dealing with presentment in practice of choosen KHS Czech Republic and the issue of extraordinary events related to the methanol scandal.
LEŠTINOVÁ, Jana
In my master thesis, I have been mapping the work of regional hygiene stationswhile solving problems and providing services during exceptional situations in the methanol cause. For the practical part, I have decided to use the combination of the quantitative and the qualitative type of research. To gather the data, I have created a questionnaire that was composed of five open-ended questions. I have used an electronic way of distributing the questionnaire to all of the 14 regional hygiene stations of the Czech Republic. Unfortunately, there were only three hygiene stations that provided the needed data. The three participating hygiene stations were: KHS of South Bohemia region residing in ČeskéBudějovice, KHS of Vysočina region residing in Jihlava, and KHS of West Bohemia region residing in Plzeň. The secondary analysis of data was used to analyze and evaluate the given answers. For the needs of questionnaire examination, there has been created another questionnaire. It was composed of 14 closed questions that were mainly related to the knowledge and attitude of respondents to the given topic. All of the 206 respondents were residents of South Bohemia region. The questionnaire was posted on several internet web pages, and the research took place from March 2014 to July 2014. I have set several goals of the research. The first goal was to discover the number of incentives to be solved that were accepted by the three participating hygiene stations between the years 2008 and 2013. During the past six years, KHS of South Bohemia region, KHS ofVysočina region, and KHS of West Bohemia region experienced the growing trend in the number of incentives accepted. The lowest number of incentives accepted in KHS of South Bohemia region was in 2009, in KHS of Vysočina region in 2009 and 2010, and in KHS of West Bohemia in 2011. On the other hand, the highest number of incentives was experienced by all hygiene stations during the year 2013, and the number was significantly higher than in previous years. Another goal was to discover the number of alcohol accepted by KHS of South Bohemia during the methanol cause, the number of alcohol tested, and also the proportion of harmful alcohol that contained either methanol of isopropanol. In the South Bohemia region, there were 670 samples being tested during December 2012. Out of the 670 samples, there were 16 harmful samples, as 11 of them got over the technological limit of isopropanol contained, and 5 of methanol contained. Part of the master thesis was also to map the awareness of South Bohemia region residents of the methanol cause, and tolearn about their estimation on being able to recognize harmful alcohol by themselves without having it tested. The results have shown that 206 people which is equal to 100% of respondents were aware of methanol cause, and that they had at least basic information about it. 45 (22 %) respondents believed that they were able to recognize harmful alcohol by themselves, and 53 (26 %) respondents did not know about the possibility of having the alcohol tested by the hygiene stations. Out of all 153 well-informed respondents, only 3 (2 %) had their alcohol tested. The last goal of my master thesis was to discover the residents' opinion on hygiene stations. Concretely, I wanted to determine whether respondents would use a guide on how to report a complaint or an incentive. 100 % (206) of respondents have agreed on the fact that it would be useful if such a guide would be present on the web pages of each hygiene station. The research has also shown that 203 (99 %) respondents have answered that they assume that state administration bodies should be more helpful when giving information.Only 3 (1 %)respondents answered that the attitude of state administration is good enough.

The bachelor thesis deals with issue of activation of the deep stabilization system in the prevention of injuries in ice hockey players. The aim of practical part was to descripe the theoretical knowledge of the deep stabilization system. In the thesis were presented knowledge of ice hockey. The practical part of the thesis is processed by the qualitative research method. To obtain secondary data was collected anamnesis of all probands. then was made the input and output of kinesiology analysis. The data and research results were published in the form of case reports. In the practical part of my thesis, I tested the 4 probands, ice hockey player a premier league team at the age of 22-24 years. I compared changes in the values obtained during the input and output kinesiological analysis with spacing of 8 weeks. During this time I have seen each proband 8x. The classic hockey training was included in the group A specific set of exercises to activate HSS. In group B was performed only classic hockey training. The probands had repeated problems with muscle contusion, stretching the muscles, rupture of the face, pain in the lumbar spine, pain in the groin, stretching the ligaments (knee, ankle joints), and pain in the knee joints. The aim of this study was to compare the efficiency of activation of concrete at HSS probands (hockey players) in the prevention of accidents in comparison with the frequency of injuries in hockey players without activating the HSS.Another aim was to create a specific set of exercises to activate HSS, which would be included in the classic hockey training. At the initial examination was detected in all probands insufficiency diaphragm, pelvic floor and deep abdominal muscles. When the exit examination at the end of the investigation was a reduction in these pathological signs in only one proband. However, research carried out in such a large issue was not sufficient, as their number of respondents and the duration of therapy. Because of this main could not be filled with work or unequivocally answer the research question. This thesis can be used as educational material for the clinical practice of physiotherapists, physiotherapy students for coaches field hockey and ice hockey players themselves. This bachelor thesis may be a stimulus for further research activities in this area.

Taking care of dying patients is stressing situation. The care covers not only the patient himself but it also includes the communication with the patients´ family and later the bereaved families. The hospital environment is primarily targeted to acute care. The palliative care is at the periphery. In The Czech Republic the palliative care is emerging in hospices mainly. That is the reason why the hospices may serve as a source of inspiration for improvements of the palliative care in other medical institutions. The first part of the theory section describes the main principles of a palliative care. The next part deals with mutual relations between the dying patient, the disease, between the nurse and the family and relatives of the dying patient. The last part deals with the ethical problems in the dying patients nursing, describes the environment where the palliative care is provided and researches the palliative care standards. There are three main goals of the work. The first goal is to compare the level of palliative care standards in different types of medical institutions. The second goal is to evaluate the possibility of providing of the palliative care in the different types of the medical institutions. The third goal is to suggest possibility of the hospital palliative care improvements according to results of the surveys. In the research part an analysis of written documents was performed. The quantitaive part of the research used an anonymous survey. We created two surveys to perform the research. The first survey was targeted to the nursing management and their view of the palliative care provided in the different types of medical institutions. The survey was distributed to 238 relevant medical institutions by electronic means. It consists 6 questions. 3 of them were closed questions, remaining 3 were semiclosed. The survey was opened by 78 respondents of different institutions. 26 respondents took part and finished the survey. According to answers of 26 nursing managers 18 of them agreed to cooperate further and participate in more detailed survey targeted on the nurses who work directly with patients and provide the palliative care. The second survey consisted of 26 questions and 13 of them were closed and 13 semiclosed. The survey was finished by 150 respondents from different medical institutions: hospitals, long term care hospitals and hospices. The data of the both surveys were statistically evaluated. We established 4 hypothesis. H1: The presence of palliative standard depends on the type of medical institution. The hypothesis is valid. H2: The palliative care standards are focused mainly on the basic physical needs providing and less to the spiritual and psycho-social needs providing. The hypothesis was not sufficiently proven. H3: The possibility to provide palliative care by nursing staff depends on the type of medical institution. The hypothesis is valid. H4: From the point of view of nursing staff the palliative care providing depends on the environmental conditions. The answers of the nursing staff take us to the conclusion that the environment influences providing the palliative care. The results of the research shows, that the palliative standards in the medical institutions exist. The standards are focused mainly on providing basic physical needs. There is an evidence that the quality palliative care can be provided in case when the conditions are adequate.
