Effective Instructional Strategies
Starý, Karel ; Walterová, Eliška (advisor) ; Janík, Tomáš (referee) ; Stuchlíková, Iva (referee)
The main aim of this work is to clarify the concept of educational effectiveness. In the theoretical part we first of all describe different conceptualizations of effectiveness. Then we focus on the "processual effectiveness" rather than the "result effectiveness" of the learning in lien with the Czech science literature. Searching for the optimal school instruction which engage student learning is the next step. We focus on three key factors and we try to explain their principles. In our concept an effective instruction arises when students understand and adopt the instructional objectives (setting objectives), learn actively (activity) and finally they reveal the meaning in the topic (meaningfulness). The qualitative factors mentioned above were put through the time factor and thus we tried to design a model o f the effective instruction. We identify five crucial stages of a lesson: setting objectives, activating prior knowledge, understanding the topic, retention of knowledge and concluding reflection. These stages create an effective learning cycle as a part of a learning spiral. For every stage we give some examples of particular instructional strategies and methods. Fialová, Barbora ; Seltenreich, Radim (advisor) ; Horák, Záboj (referee)
Resumé This thesis titled "Legal aspects of persecuting Jewisch citizens in Nazi Germany" discusses a fairly brief period in history in relation to a specific group of individuals. It provides the viewpoint of the persecution of the Jewish citizens by the Nazi State from a predominantly legal aspect, focusing on specific laws and regulations accepted in relation to the Nazis' anti-Semitic policy. The goal of this work was the endeavour to summarise this brief period of Jewish history, point out the most important legal aspects of separation of German Jews from society and prove that assumption of power by the Nazis and implementation of the anti-Semitic policy had a legal basis. This work is divided (not counting the introduction and conclusion) into six chapters, which are further divided into sub-chapters, possibly into additional parts. The first chapter is an excursion into the general concept of human races, racism and racist ideology, essential for understanding the reasoning of society at the beginning of the 20th century. The Nazis were convinced of the existence of higher and lower races and the danger of their mixing, on which they based their anti-Semitic policy, chiefly directed in the interests of maintaining "racial purity". The second chapter focuses on defining the concepts of anti-Semitism...

Preparation of the Act, similarly to many neighbour countries, was strongly affected by the aim at forming a set of conditions motivating debtors to try and resolve their difficult financial situation and avoid reluctance in case of economic crises by presenting legal tools enabling to keep the business running. That was supposed to bring an improvement of the situation of both the debtors and their creditors, who all play their set roles within the insolvency proceedings. The key factors were hence speed, efficiency, and the wish to balance the effects of liquidation and sanation form of insolvency resolution. This Master's degree dissertation is focused on the sanation form of insolvency procedings.
