Evaluation of the Impact of Wind Turbines on a Landscape
Urbášková, Martina ; Melichar, Jan (advisor) ; Kaprová, Kateřina (referee)
The goal of the work is to provide monetary valuation of changes in visual aspects of the landscape as a result of construction of an additional wind turbine in the village Maletín. For a suitable method for achieving the goal is being selected the contingent valuation method. A key element of this method is being considered the carefully compiled questionnaire, on which basis is made the quantification and evaluation of collected data. The representative sample consists of 112 households and the selected payment method is the increase of the monthly bill for electricity. The questionnaire reports that 54.3% of households consider the impact of wind turbines on the landscape Maletín to be positive. With the construction of additional wind turbine agree less than 74.3% of households and the most common reason is to obtain grants for the village and to produce cleaner energy from wind turbines. With the construction of new wind turbine while increasing monthly bill agrees 28.6% of all households living in the village Maletín. Estimation of changes in a welfare, thus improving the quality of the environment, is based on estimated central values, that has been calculated from selected characteristics and nonparametric estimation. The average household's willingness to pay for construction of wind turbine is estimated to be between 77 CZK - 200 CZK per month.
Do price promotions influence the demand for food products?
Koudelka, Tomáš ; Mičúch, Marek (advisor) ; Koubek, Ivo (referee)
The aim of this thesis is to determine the influence of leaflet actions on the marketability of food products. In theoretical part I describe the motives which lead shops in the process of choosing the particular product promoted in the leaflet action. In the empirical part parameters influencing the purchased quantity of goods in the action period are estimated by the ordinary least square method based on real sales data. This estimate is further precised by the heteroskedasticity corrected model. The final results show the rational behaviour of customers purchasing the products mainly during the leaflet actions for better prices.
Women status in sampled developing economies and its measurement
Pospíšilová, Jana ; Šaroch, Stanislav (advisor) ; Jarošová, Eva (referee)
The goal of this bachelor thesis is to reflect the impact of certain factors on the women status. The status is characterized by SIGI index created by OECD. Selected factors are from particular topics of education, transparency and mainly microfinance. The work presents these factors, overview about thirty observed countries and consequently offers models based on the least squares method. These models test set of hypothesis supporting the thesis objective.
economy cars in the center: the allocation of parking space
Uhlířová, Petra ; Bartoň, Petr (advisor) ; Hudík, Marek (referee)
Possibility of parking plays a role in deciding where to go and the driver where to purchase goods and services. In sectors such as trade, hotels, catering, transport and storage is likely that some percentage of these drivers will form. The paper tries to explain whether the introduction of paid parking zones will affect the growth of businesses in these sectors since the introduction of paid parking zones receive visitors "theoretical" chance to park, compared to locations where paid parking zones are not. Work with the help of least-squares could not determine whether this hypothesis is true in parts of Prague 3 and 7, which introduced paid parking zones in 2008. The model appeared generally statistically insignificant, which can not be concluded whether the introduction of paid parking zones will lead to greater development of businesses in sectors such as trade, hotels, catering, transport and storage in the city of Prague 3 and 7
The Productivity of Farmland depending on Chosen Elements
Partynglová, Soňa ; Pánková, Václava (advisor) ; Voltr, Václav (referee)
This thesis is focused on analysis of the factors that influence the yields of the wheat. This thesis is divided into three parts. The first part opens the problem of wheat cultivation. The second one concerns the methodologies of creating the econometrics models and the third one solves the problem as a whole. Considering a large data file I have a need to reduce it by the factor analysis. I estimate relevant econometric model by application different econometrics methods. This model will show the influences of technological, soil and climatic factors on the yields of wheat. At the end I confront the observed variables with predicted ones by the graininess of soil, climate and the year of the crops.
Attendance of the Zoological Garden in Jihlava
Královská, Radka ; Hudík, Marek (advisor) ; Lahvička, Jiří (referee)
In this work I investigated the influence of selected factors on attendance of the Zoological Garden in Jihlava in the years 2001-2010. Each time series of monthly visitors were subjected to econometric analysis to determine the influence of explanatory variables on attendance. The work leads to the conclusion that attendance is significantly affected by air temperature, which was confirmed in all four models studied. Neither rainfall nor the price of admission didn't confirm the influence on the attendance of the Zoo, which may be due to low number of observations. The most significant impact on attendance had months of April and November, while other months were found to be very important in terms of attendance Zoo Jihlava.
Surveying measurement in the capital construction.
PÁLENÍKOVÁ, Lenka
The accuracy appraisal and its evaluation with what the results of geodetic work are being achieved will be shown in this graduation thesis. As well as the related legislation and economic point of view of the price setting in comparison to other geodetic companies. One of the major surveyed area is testing of the used instruments - confrontation of achieved values with the values stated by manufacturer, accuracy analysis of the used methods and allignment of independent measurements of equal magnitude.

Market analysis of dailies in Czech republic
Děd, Michal ; Lejnarová, Šárka (advisor) ; Kříčková, Darina (referee)
This work deals with the newspaper market in the Czech Republic and application the most known regression methods - ordinary least squares on marketing data from this area. The aim of this work is to determine whether the number of sold newspapers can be explained by the expenditures for advertising for them and the price of newspapers. In this work I use the data for the years 2003 to 2009, which we have provided me the publisher Ringier ČR.
