Laocoon: reception of the group in Czech visual arts (1800-2000)

The marble statuary group of Laocoon discovered in 1506 A. O. in city of Rome i s one of the most studied, discussed and inspirational work of ancient art. Since i ts discovery, Laocoon has inspired an uncountable number of diverse receptive works of art in many different ways. Briefly summarizing, it was considered as an exemplum artis for artists of almost all periods and as an exemplum doloris in christian iconography of posttridentine period. In century Laocoon was used for the first time in the sphere of popular cul ture. The greatest influence can be seen in the art of caricature. Influence of the group persists even until our days. First examples of reception of the group in Czech art can be seen in the period of manierism in the court of emperor Rudolf II and in 18th century. In 19th century with the beginnings of Prague Art Academy Laocoon became even in our country one of the most copied works of ancient art, but it also stimulated the origin of satirical reaction on educational methods of Prague Art Academy. The first appearence of Laocoon in czech caricature is dated to the middle of 19th cen tury, since than Laocoon has been used for the needs of Czech caricature many times.

Financing of universities in Slovakia

Education represents the fundament, a pillar of social and commercial development of each country whose justness influences the quality of life of every member of the society. This bachelor work dissertates general characteristics of education. The opening chapter discusses different approaches such as human capital,externality and investment. The main part of my work constitutes the portrayal of system functioning of various universities in Slovakia and related concept of the legislative ambit of their financing. Considerable portion is also dedicated to the detailed methodics of funding and dotations analysis, various calculations and social aspect of university students. Conclusion deals with the exaluation of my survey in which numerous students participated, the evaluation of the educational system funding in Slovakia followed by the comparison to the one in Czech Republic.

The French Regions and their Specifics: The Centre

Le thème que l'on essaie de traiter dans ce travail de diplôme est la diversité et l'unité de la Région Centre-Val de Loire et son utilisation ultérieure dans l'enseignem ent du français à l'école. Il est évident q u 'u n e simple connaissance de la grammaire et du vocabulaire ne suffit pas pour apprendre une langue étrangère. L 'enseignem ent de la civilisation du pays est inséparable de la parfaite maîtrise de sa langue. Le travail présent développe l'idée d'exercer l'expression orale à l'aide des matériels visuels concernant la Région. Le texte du travail de diplôme est divisé en deux grandes parties (subdivisées en sous-châpitres) qui sont précédées par l'introduction et terminées par la Conclusion, celle-ci suivie du Résumé et de deux parties indépendantes, intitulées Annexes et Bibliographie. La première partie a pour but de donner une image globale de la Région Centre- Val de Loire de point de vue de l'histoire, la géographie, la population, l'administration, l'économ ie et l'anthropologie culturelle. Role of social worker in a hospital

The diploma thesis is focused on the main activities of the social workers at the hospitals in Prague, the regional hospitals, and one former district hospital. Within the theoretical section of the abstract there are clearly defined fundamental concepts of social work in health care and its historical transformation. The chapters consist of four sections: ethics code, the quality of social work at the hospital, valid legislation, as well as interdisciplinary collaboration within the hospital. The theoretical part focuses on job description, competencies, skills or personality characteristics of the social worker in the hospital. The last section describes social work in the hospitals by different target groups with whom the social workers can come into contact. The empirical part of this diploma thesis is acquired by the semistructured interviews. The main research question tries to find out the role of the social worker at the hospital. The research targets three surveyed areas: The first examines the qualification skills of the social worker at the hospital. The second refers to the job description of the social worker at the hospital's core business activities. Hodnocení pracovníku je některými autory přirovnáváno k používání bezpečnostních pásu. Všichni vědí, že jejich používání je nutné, ale většina lidí jejich používání nemá ráda. Zaměstnanci i manažeři mají z pracovního hodnocení obavy. Zaměstnanci mají strach, že se mohou stát obětí svévolných úsudku nebo nejasných očekávání. Ale také si uvědomují, že je hodně v sázce, včetně zvýšení platu nebo povýšení. Na druhé straně manažeři nechtějí být soudci ostatních, obzvláště pokud těmi, koho soudí jsou zaměstnanci, jejichž spolupráci a podporu potřebují k dosažení úspěchu celé organizace. Kvalitní systém pracovního hodnocení dokáže odlehčit toto oboustranné napětí. Pokud jsou cíle hodnocení jasně dané, dohodnuté manažery i pracovníky a pokrok je společně monitorován, je spravedlivé a přesné hodnocení pracovního výkonu téměř zaručeno. Dobrým pracovníkum se dostane uznání, které si zaslouží a ti špatní se dozví o svých nedostatcích dříve než se vymknou kontrole. Svou bakalářskou práci na téma hodnocení pracovníku jsem se rozhodla psát proto, že mě tato problematika velmi zajímá a sama jsem ve svém zaměstnání v pozici jak hodnotitele, tak i hodnoceného. Title of the thesis: The influence of inline skating on the knee joint. Abstract: lnline skating is one of the fastest growing sport acitivities not only in the USA and the Western Europe but in the entire Czech Republic as well. Many people understand inline skating as a possible leisure activity- a fitness activity such as jogging, other do the inline skating as a supplementary summer sport to crosscountry skiing and other see it as an attractive means of transport. Many non- experienced enthusiasts as well as recreational and top athletes have tried to move on inline skates. There are available skating products of various quality and price on the market. The thesis deals with influence of inline skating on the entire structures and functions of a knee joint. Apart from the physiological effects on respiratory, cardiovascular system etc. exists a topíc which has not been talked about: that is the influence of a periodic and repeating movement on the locomotory system and especially on the knee joint. The skate's construction, its rigidity, individua! skating technique and the status of skater's locomotory system as well as the quality of surface seem to have fundamental ímportance in this aspect. Excise taxes in the Czech Republic and in selected OECD countries and their impact on resource coverage of the state budget in the years 2007-2012

The thesis deals with the issue of excise taxes in the Czech Republic and in selected OECD countries over the period 2007-2012 and their impact on resource coverage of the state budget. The theoretical part consists of the basic concepts relating to taxes, their basic structure, including the advantages and disadvantages of various groups of taxes. Main part of this thesis is the analysis of excise taxes in the Czech Republic, Denmark, Germany and the Slovakia which leads to a comparison between these countries. The hypothesis was that the Czech Republic levied excise few. Since this hypothesis is confirmed, the thesis contains a proposal for amendment in excise taxes which of the three possible options is chosen variant of the introduction of new taxes, the taxes on sweets. This part is undoubtedly the greatest benefit of the whole thesis. The work assumes that the introduction of this tax has had a positive impact on the state budget of 6-7 billion Czech crowns.

The usage of art therapy while working in a foster family

The thesis describes the educational and incentive program in the field of art therapy focusing on families with children in foster care. The theoretical part covers topics of psychological deprivation, subdeprivation, and attachment; it contains an introduction to art therapy and deals with the process of artistic expression and the ontogenesis of artistic expression. It maps the forms of substitute parental care in the Czech Republic. The practical part describes the experience with foster parents and their children. The author focuses on artistic creation in the entire family, and uses it as a nonverbal alternative to communication. The thesis explores and structures different approaches. The conclusion and summary presents practical findings useful for therapists and other professionals.
