Reflection of the teachings of the seven sacraments in the liturgical work of Tobias Závorky of Lipenský

This master's thesis named Seven Sacraments Reflection in Tobias Zavorka Lipensky's Liturgical Work, deals with the transcription and analysis of liturgical acts which reflect seven sacraments of the Catholic Church. The appropriate texts were taken from Zavorka's agenda The Rule of Church Service, the hymn-book The Songs of Divine Praise and the song-book Funeral Chanting. The master thesis begins with brief Zavorka's curriculum vitae of Zavorka, who was the neo-utraquistic priest and Dean of the region of Doubravnik, and a description of his works. The main focus of the thesis is to describe the specifics of the special or sacramental liturgical acts that demonstrate the character of Zavorka's theological and liturgical work.

Baptismal Ceremonies of Christian Churches The diploma thesis Baptismal Ceremonies of Christian Churches deals with baptismal ceremonies of Roman Catholic Church, Greek Catholic Church, Orthodox Church and Czechoslovak Hussite Church; and Evangelical Church of Czech Brethren. The phenomenon of the baptismal sacrament will be taken in of historical view of baptismal ceremonies and itself in the process of baptismal liturgy. The thesis which is on the ground of historical studies and of contemporary forms of worship will demonstrate common and different elements of baptismal liturgy and to what extent the baptismal theology incorporated into ceremonies varies or resembles. Celebration of the Lord's Supper with children. Theological assumptions and current practice in Evangelical Church of Czech Brethren. Summary This thesis researches the presence and participation of children at the Lord's Supper. The main aim of the thesis was to research whether also today it is possible to find understanding for the reception of children around the Lord's Table in Evangelical Church of Czech Brethren. First of all it was the issue, whether the participation of children at the Lord's Supper is sufficiently accepted in the Evangelical Church of Czech Brethren. The first part is focused on the historical and theological background of the Lord's Supper, on the practice in the Old Testament and Apostolic times. This chapter deals with the question: What is the Lord's Supper and what is its meaning? The second part is devoted to the issue of children and their participation in the Lord's Supper. It focuses on the period from the Early Church through the Middle Ages to the Czech and World Reformation. Different views of churches in the Czech Republic are described in the third part of the thesis. I focus here mainly on their current practice. The sacraments in the Documents of the Second Vatican Council

The thesis "Sacraments in the documents of the second Vatican council" deals with selected articles of the individual constitutions, documents and decrees of the council, which concern sacraments in the theological context. The articles are selected from the constitution on the Sacred Liturgy Sacrosanctum concilium, constitution on the Church Lumen gentium, pastoral constitution Gaudium et spes, document about the Apostolate of the Laity Apostolicam actuositatem, decree on Ecumenism Unitatis redintegratio and the decree on the life and service of priests Presbyterorum ordinis. The thesis is based on the acts of council and it maps the progress of creating the articles. A brief summary of history of the formation of individual constitutions, documents and decrees is mentioned before the analysis of the articles. The chapters are divided by the documents. At the end of the thesis is a chapter containing important themes concerning the Sacraments that came up from the mapping of the article.
Problem of Preparation for Baptism

This thesis is called "The Problems of the Preparation for a Baptism". It deals with the theme of the preparation for a baptism in current practical-theoretical circumstances. Its main purpose is to study the conceptions, the emphasis and the fundamental aspects of the preparation for a baptism of se-lected representatives of Cristian churches: the Latin Church, the Evangelical Church of Czech Brethren, and on the field of German Protestant churches. The work advances in five steps. At first the work deals with the question of a baptism, pre-baptismal prepa-ration and the baptism of children in the New Testament. Then it describes selected catechetical processes throughout history up to their extinction. In the third part it reflexes the procedures of the particular reformation movements. The fourth part of the work deals with concrete selected churches and their approach to the preparation for a baptism that are at first conceived from a the-oretical point. Later it is based on concrete authors and their rendition of the preparations for a baptism. The image of John the Baptist in the Gospel of Matthew

This thesis focuses on the analysis of John the Baptist by using exegetical methods in the context of the gospel of Matthew. The thesis begins with a short introduction of the gospel of Matthew and the background of the analyzed texts Mt 3,1-12 (which deals with the activities of John the Baptist, the controversy between him and the Sadducees and Pharisees, and John's warning against the Last Judgment) and Mt 11,1-19 (which describes doubts concerning Jesus' mission, Jesus' confirmation of John's part, and the rejection of John's and Jesus' proclamations by the Jewish party). This part briefly summarizes the interpreted texts as well as the description, division, and broader framework of their background or parallel comparison of the synoptics. A translation of the verses from Greek to Czech follows which is accompanied by annotations, interesting facts, references to the peculiarities that arise from the translation, or differences among the Czech and other foreign translations of the Bible. Then comes the exegesis of the individual verses supplemented by findings acquired through research, followed by a summary of the chapter. Problem of Preparation for Baptism

The aim of this thesis is to collect, sort and describe the information about how to prepare for baptism. Another aim of the work is find a possible offer for the formation model of preparation for baptism currently, applicable to all can-didates for baptism. In the first part of this thesis are Described the various themes of baptism. Further is Described difference between the baptism of child and adult baptism. In this thesis is not omitted the question of baptism in Christ and baptism in the church. Chapter of the history tries to reflect the preparation for baptism in other periods of Christian history and consider the question preparation for baptism and her hints from the perspective of the New Testament. The Acquired information and experience I have tried to hint of this, why is it nowadays essential to direct the preparation for baptism to be discussed on the basis of preparation for baptism of children and adults. Rites of Christian Initiation in Byzantine and Roman Traditions. Outline of Comparison. The bachelor's thesis dwells on the rites of Christian initiation in two respective traditions: Slavonic-Byzantine and western - Roman. The author starts from a historical insight into the formation of celebration of the initiation rites from the New Testament praxis though ancient and medieval Church up to the development in last centuries. She notices changes in the celebration of Christian initiation made because of historical development or differences of rites related to various cultural settings. In the second part of the thesis, she tries to outline a comparison between current initiation rites - those of infants as well as those of adults - in both traditions. She studies the contemporary praxis from liturgical books and from other available sources in the Roman-Catholic Church as well as in the Greek-Catholic and Orthodox Churches in Eastern Europe.
