Optical Localization System with a Pan/Tilt Camera
Senčuch, Daniel ; Musil, Petr (referee) ; Beran, Vítězslav (advisor)
The effective surveillance of large critical areas is crucial for their security and privacy. There is no publicly available and acceptable solution of automating this task. This thesis aims to create an application utilizing a combination of a pan-tilt robotic manipulator and a visible-spectrum camera. Based on the pan-tilt unit's position and camera's images, the application searches for semantically significant changes in the captured environment and marks these regions of interest.
Implementation of time-variant convolution processor
Brhel, Tomáš ; Vrba, Kamil (referee) ; Balík, Miroslav (advisor)
In this thesis there is a design of universal time-variant convolution FIR processor. Proposed algorithm is ready to process long signals with reduced process delay. Furthermore, there are proposed methods for smooth crossfade between different impulse responses. Algorithm is implemented in Matlab environment and later as a VST plugin.
Mobile Application for Image Annotation
Hřebíček, Pavel ; Čadík, Martin (referee) ; Brejcha, Jan (advisor)
This thesis deals with a topic of creation of cross-platform mobile application for image annotation. The theoretical part of my thesis describes the specification of the application both in terms of design and functionality. The practical part discusses the actual implementation of the application from the technologies used through the application architecture to implementation of the tools and functions themselves. For the practical part of this thesis was used the Qt framework, which is based on the C++ language. It was also necessary to become familiar with the issues of UX Design and Usability testing.
Detection of registration number for surveillance systems
Smékal, David ; Atassi, Hicham (referee) ; Přinosil, Jiří (advisor)
The bachelor thesis deal with teoretic image processing and computer vision, detection license plate. There are include some methods segmentation image for example filtration noise, detection edge, thresholding. Researched presence of licence plate in the picture.
Voice Controled Map of FIT
Huták, Petr ; Grézl, František (referee) ; Szőke, Igor (advisor)
This bachelor's thesis describes the design and developement of navigation system for the Faculty of information technology, Brno university of technology with voice control. It explains the methods used for finding the shortest path on the map, speech recognition and describes existing navigation systems with voice control. The thesis is focused on creating a user interface with voice control. The purpose of voice control is to make usage of this navigation system more accesible and effective in a public place. Speech recognizing is realized with BSAPI library.
OCR on iOS Platform
Hakulin, Lukáš ; Žák, Pavel (referee) ; Angelov, Michael (advisor)
This thesis is dedicated to text recognition in image on iOS mobile platform. It describes principles and methods for text location, feature extraction and classification. Portion of this work is devoted to design and implementation of simple application. With this application is possible to recognize information about location of furniture in IKEA's storeroom.
QDevKit Project Designer
Šimek, Petr ; Strnadel, Josef (referee) ; Vašíček, Zdeněk (advisor)
The purpose of this thesis is to introduce a reader with existed commercial applications and control the FITkit using QDevKit. The main goal of the thesis is proposed and implemeted modul for application QDevKit which makes easy proposal and progress applications for platform FITkit.
Frequency Domain Computer Analysis of Switched Circuits
Pech, Vladislav ; Novotný, Vít (referee) ; Biolek, Dalibor (advisor)
This project deals with the computer analysis of circuits with external switching. At the first of all there is a description of the creation of the entry of the program CIRNAM – description of the circuit, modified netlist. The work also discusses the theory used for solutions of analysed circuits. In the other part there is a description of the program CIRNAM in full details. In the next parts of this project there is the illustration of work in the program, which is shown on the examples with short discussion of output options – he rendering of the frequency characteristics in the program CIRNAM or the export of calculated data to MATLAB. There are also described the source code of CIRNAM for the initial orientation of the programmer, which would extend the possibilities of this program.
Advanced trajectory management techniques for model station in the OPNET Modeler environmen
Ludvíček, Pavel ; Mácha, Tomáš (referee) ; Vajsar, Pavel (advisor)
The aim of this work is to study and theoretically process existing movement options of station in OPNET Modeler environment. These options are described in first part. Furthermore to design and implement function to display path obtained from real-world conditions and done to station following this route during simulation. Coordinates used to move station are obtained by GPX format, which is used to store clearly the GPS coordinates. Second part is devoted to describing creation of this function, first using PHP script, then direct implementation into OPNET Modeler environment using C++.
Implementation of wavelet transform in C++
Valouch, Lukáš ; Hasmanda, Martin (referee) ; Beneš, Radek (advisor)
The aim of this thesis is implementation of wavelet transform algorithm for noise reduction. The noise reduction itself is focused on improving informative capabilities of sonographic (ultrasound) images in medicine. For this purpose, thresholding of detailed coefficients on individual levels of multiresolution analysis was used. Common procedures were not used for searching for the most suitable thresholds of those levels. The alternative concept's design is based on fundamental empirical approach, where the individual thresholds are optimised by evolution algorithms. However, with this algorithmic procedure, more problems manifest regarding the objective evaluation of the success of noise reduction. Because of this, the program uses commonly used parameters such as mean square error of the whole image, linear slope edge approximation, relative contrast of two differently bright and distinct points and the standard deviation of compact surface. Described theoretical knowledge is used in developed application DTWT. It executes multilevel decomposition and reversed reconstruction by discrete time wavelet transform, thresholding of detailed coefficients and final evaluation of performed noise reduction. The developed tool can be used separately to reduce noise. For our purposes, it has been modified in way, that it executed through the component for evolutionary optimization of parameters (Optimize Parameters) in created scenario in RapidMiner program. In the optimization process, this component used evaluation received from DTWT program as fitness function. Optimal thresholds were sought separately for three wavelet families - Daubeschies, Symmlets and Coiflets. The evolution algorithm chose soft threshold for all three wavelet families. In comparison to hard threshold, it is more suitable for noise reduction, but it has tendencies to blur the edges more. The devised method had in most cases greater evaluated success of noise reduction with wavelet transform with threshold search done by evolution algorithms, than commonly used filters. In visual comparison however the wavelet transform introduced some minor depreciating artefacts into the image. It is always about compromise between noise reduction and maximal preservation of image information. Objectively evaluating this dilemma is not easy and is always dependant on subjective viewpoint which in case of sonographic images is that of the attending physician.
