The objective of work is elaborating a specific area of aviation history in a multimedia presentation with a maximum using of video and audio records focusing on that period. The thesis is an overview of the development multi-pilot, multi-engine civil transport aircraft by end of 20 century to the. In this work is described process of development of current and future civil transport aircraft of the largest manufacturers, Boeing and Airbus. There is also a view of the current situation of each the aircraft. Is also described the characteristics of both companies in short.

WTO and the Dispute Settlement Mechanism

The aim of this bachelor thesis is to characterize the WTO as an international organization with emphasis on the existing dispute settlement mechanism. The first and second chapter presents a general part where WTO and dispute settlement mechanism within the organization are described. The end of the second chapter is dedicated to the results of the current dispute settlement mechanism and the question whether this mechanism is trustworthy. The third chapter includes a case study on analysis of a dispute between American Boeing and European Airbus. Part of this chapter aims to answer the question whether the dispute affected economic results of both companies.

Strategic analysis of Airbus and Boeing

The market for large commercial aircraft is in turn dominated by the duopoly of Airbus SAS, a division of EADS, and Boeing Commercial Airplanes, a division of The Boeing Company. My Aim is to describe the current strategic and financial situation of the two largest companies in the aerospace industry with a particular focus on the divisions supplying Large Commercial Aircraft. I describe the production of civil airliners in the whole context of the current global economic situation and the future of aviation. Strategic analysis using methods like PESTLE analysis, PORTER 5F and SWOT focuses mainly on the analysis of macro environment in relation to the companies and aviation business as it is the main driver of aviation expansion. The success of business strategies of both companies will influence the air traffic in the future, determine its nature, quality and availability for customers. Strategic analysis of the intense mutual competition will summarize the main company strategies and their current financial situation. Air traffic development is closely connected to the subject and is also analyzed. Source materials for the analysis are Airbus and Boeing annual reports, public corporate documents, press articles and journals on the topic of aviation and transportation, public IATA reports and other expert studies and forecasts are also used.

Vliv leteckého průmyslu na ekonomiku, se zaměřením na mezinárodní společnosti Boeing a Airbus

Tato práce podává komplexní pohled na vliv leteckého průmyslu na ekonomiku. Zároveň však popisuje i okolnosti, které na něj naopak působí. Pomocí krátkého osvětlení historického vývoje tohoto odvětví zdůvodňuje jeho nynější situaci. Zvláštní pozornost je věnována nadnárodním korporacím, kde se zaměřuje především na výrobce letadel Boeing a Airbus, jejich současnou situaci a mediálně známý spor. V souvislosti s jejich konfliktem je věnována pozornost také teorii poskytování dotací. Hlavním přínosem je objasnění sporu a srovnání společností Boeing a Aribus.

Mezi současné trendy ovlivňující charakter letecké výroby ve světě patří sílící konkurenční boj mezi výrobci, rostoucí význam outsourcingu, nárůst poptávky po leteckého dopravě v Číně, stoupající nároky na ekologičnost a efektivnost provozu letounů a vzájemný vliv mezi globalizací a leteckým průmyslem. V práci jsou dále uvedeny základní informace o společnostech Airbus a Embraer, jejich SWOT analýzy a vzájemné srovnání.

Diplomová práce je zaměřena na zhodnocení přínosu spolupráce společnosti Aero Vodochody a.s. se silným zahraničním partnerem ? Boeingem. V teoretické části je vysvětlen pojem krize podniku, postup komplexní analýzy a strategie sanace. Praktická část obsahuje analýzu makrookolí a mikrookolí Aera Vodochody a profil společnosti Boeing. Na základě těchto analýz jsou zhodnoceny učiněné strategické kroky a jsou identifikovány hlavní faktory neúspěšné spolupráce.
