Output of the tool is a prescription for automated synthesis of data for testing purposes. The tool is a part of Testos platform developed at FIT BUT.
Preparation of modified tricalcium aluminate phases and study of their hydratation processes
Vávrová, Alžběta ; Koplík, Jan (referee) ; Másilko, Jiří (advisor)
This diploma thesis deals with the preparation of modified tricalcium aluminate phases using sodium ions, and the study of their hydration processes and products. The X-ray diffraction analysis, isothermal calorimetry, laser diffraction, and scanning electron microscopy with energy dispersion analysis were used to solve this task. The preparation of modified tricalcium aluminate phases using high temperature methods has been described in the experimental section. Furthermore, the X-ray diffraction analysis was used to determine the purity of the prepared phases and the scanning electron microscopy with energy dispersion analysis was used to define the volume of sodium. Laser diffraction was used to measure a particle size distribution in the individual phases. Subsequently, hydration of the pure phases was performed in an isothermal calorimeter. It was followed by hydration of phases in the presence of different gypsum content and then in the presence of saturated portlandite solution. Hydration of some samples was stopped in order to better understand the hydration process. Hydration products were studied by X-ray diffraction analysis. The obtained results were compared with each other and the influence of sodium ions on both the structure of the prepared phases and the course of hydration and its products has been discussed. The effect of adding different volumes of gypsum and portlandite on the course of hydration of the individual phases was also compared.
Fabrication of dental glass-ceramics
Hasalíková, Tereza ; Dlabajová, Lucie (referee) ; Bartoníčková, Eva (advisor)
This bachelor´s thesis deals with the study of glass-ceramic materials and their use in dentistry. Nowadays, studies are placed on health harmless of the material, the biological ability to adapt to the host tissue, mechanical properties, affordability, easy and fast production, aesthetics and quick recovery of the patient. The theoretical part of the work deals with various materials from various input materials used for dental substitutes. Special attention is paid to glass-ceramic and ceramic biomaterials, their preparation, heat treatment and health testing. The experimental part deals with the preparation of powder materials by the sol-gel method. Of the larger number of samples, those were selected for gelation and showed good XRD and heat microscopy results. The selected samples were subsequently subjected to heat treatment to form a glass ceramic material. The products were characterized by XRD phase composition in terms of phase temperature behavior by TG-DTA analysis, heat microscopy and SEM morphology analysis of prepared particle.
Polar phosphinoferrocene ligands with hydrocarbyl bridges
Zábranský, Martin ; Štěpnička, Petr (advisor) ; Dostál, Libor (referee) ; Šebesta, Radovan (referee)
A new synthetic route towards methylene-spaced hybrid phosphinoferrocene ligands was developed, making use of a phosphinoferrocene betaine 3-(N,N,N-{[1'-(diphenylphosphino)- ferrocenyl]methyl}dimethylammonium)propane-1-sulfonate (2), that is readily accessible from 1-(diphenylphosphino)-1'-(N,N-dimethylaminomethyl)ferrocene (XIX) via treatment with 1,3-propanesultone. The betaine 2 was reacted with sodium alkylsulfinates (alkyl = methyl, phenyl, 4-tolyl) to afford the corresponding sulfones 4. The coordination chemistry of [1'-(diphenylphosphino)ferrocenyl]methyl(methyl)sulfone (4a) was investigated in its zinc(II) complexes. Surprisingly, only insoluble mixed-metal coordination polymers of the general formula [MZnX3(4a)(MeOH)]n (M/X = Na/Br, K/Br, Na/I) and six-centre complex [Li2Zn2Br6(4a)2(MeOH)4(H2O)] could be obtained. Two isomeric homologues of 1'-(diphenylphosphino)ferrocene-1-carboxylic acid (Hdpf, II), viz. 1'-(diphenylphosphino)ferrocenylacetic acid (HIIa) and 1'- [(diphenylphosphino)methyl]ferrocene-1-carboxylic acid (HIIb), were prepared and their coordination preferences were assessed in their palladium(II) complexes. The palladium(II) complexes were prepared by reacting various (acetylacetonate)palladium(II) precursors with these acids with concomitant release of acetylacetone....
Synthesis of substituted 4-nitroisoxazoles
Lóška, Ladislav ; Veselý, Jan (advisor) ; Matoušová, Eliška (referee)
This work deals with the preparation of a small library of enamines derived from isoxazole, compounds with the ability to inhibit a FOXO3-DNA interaction. The first part of the work is focused on the preparation of the key building block, (E)-N,N-dimethyl-2-(3- methyl-4-nitroisoxazole-5-yl)ethen-1-amine, and other starting materials. The second part is focused on the preparation 4-nitroisoxazole derivatives bearing methyl group at position 3 and a substituted vinyl moiety in position 5. Various secondary amines were used as substituents in order to modulate the polarity of the prepared 4-nitroisoxazole derivatives and to increase their solubility in water.

Analogues of IGF-1 for the study of interactions of the hormone with the receptors for IGF-1 and insulin
Macháčková, Kateřina
Insulin/IGF system is a complex network of three similar hormones (insulin, IGF-1 and IGF-2) and their three similar receptors (IR-A, IR-B and IGF-1R,), which play important roles in maintaining basal energy homeostasis of the organism, in growth, development, life-span but also in development of diseases such as diabetes mellitus, cancer, acromegaly or Laron dwarfism. Despite structural similarities between family members, each member have its unique role in the system. Identification of structural determinants in insulin and IGFs that trigger their specific signalling pathways is important for rational drug design for safer treatment of diabetes or for more efficient combating of cancer or growth-related disorders. In this thesis, we focused on identification of such structural determinants in IGF-1. Comparison of our data with parallel studies with IGF-2 and insulin could give a more complex picture of the problem. First of all, we developed necessary methodologies for the preparation of IGF-1 analogues. We developed a new methodology for the total chemical synthesis of IGF-1 analogues based on the solid-phase synthesis of fragments and their ligation by a CuI -catalyzed cycloaddition of azides and alkynes. In parallel, we developed a procedure for a recombinant production of IGF- 1 and its...
Transition Metal Complexes with Aza[n]phenacene Ligands.
Váňa, Lubomír
This work is aimed at the synthesis of new aza[n]phenacenes 2(n = 4 or 5, Ar = phenyl or 2-pyridyl), where [n]phenacenes 1 with δ-lactam ring are used as starting material (Scheme 1). The resulting compounds are subsequently investigated in terms of their complexation properties with transition metals (Cu, Ni, Co, Pt, Ir) (e. g.Figure 1) due to their potential application as photoluminescent complexes.
