Aircraft windshield blowing: solution and design possibilities
Šamša, Petr ; Fišer, Jan (referee) ; Jícha, Miroslav (advisor)
My thesis is considering with aircraft windshield blowing for airplanes designed according to CS-23 regulation. The first part introduces the size of precipitation clearing area in connection with CS-23 regulation and report SAE AIR805C. Next chapter describes a few possible design solutions which can be potentially used for windshield precipitation. There are also other methods analysed in that part. There are not only the casual systems like windshield wipers but some more rare or new technologies too. It can be some fluid repellent surfaces or blowers in that category. The third part deals with jet blast system in detail. There will be a design calculation for airflow conditions which are important for the correct function. The last quarter of this thesis mentions the experiment what should compare the theoretical computations from the third part with the real values.
Noise and vibrations in air-conditioning systems
Libřický, Stanislav ; Hejčík, Jiří (referee) ; Jedelský, Jan (advisor)
This bachelor’s thesis is focused on the sources of noise in air-conditioning equipment and potential noise reduction. The thesis also includes a detailed list of the sources of noise. Thoroughly describes only the main ones, which the fans, aerodynamic noise of air conduit and chillers. The thesis continues with description of methods of the reduction of selected causes of noise in a certain environment. The final part of the bachelor’s thesis includes listing and description of laws and regulations affecting issue of noise in air-conditioning equipment.
Ejectors and it's utilization in industry
Zejda, Vojtěch ; Hájek, Jiří (referee) ; Vondál, Jiří (advisor)
This work aims at introducing ejector pumps. It describes the working principle, advantages and disadvantages and restrictions of their usage in various applications. Main disadvantage of ejectors is the low efficiency which limits the usage only in specific applications where it is not considered to be a crucial factor. Therefore, examples of usage of various ejectors in industrial processes are listed further. Last but not least, in these examples are also demonstrated difficulties and reasons why it is favourable to use an ejector rather than other types of pumps. Further off, this work deals with design methods of ejectors and compares their suitability. It appears that not all the methods are suitable for ejector design, because it depends greatly on presumed shape of a certain ejector. In the end, there is compared energy intensity of an ejectors and common centrifugal pumps and confirms energy disadvantage of ejectors.
Aerodynamic components of Formula 1 vehicles
Mazáč, Petr ; Beran, Martin (referee) ; Vančura, Jan (advisor)
This bachelor’s thesis deals with research themed aerodynamic components of Formula 1 vehicles. The beginning of the thesis is focused on basic of aerodynamic and generating downforce. Afterwards it deals with developement of aerodynamic from the beginning of Formula 1 to the present time, followed by categorization of the various aerodynamic elements which were used on vehicles throughout the history of the sport and in the present time with their construction description. It also summarizes active aerodynamic components.
Aerodynamic Wind Tunnels in the Automotive
Hromada, Martin ; Zháňal, Lubor (referee) ; Vančura, Jan (advisor)
The aim of bachelor thesis is research themed the aerodynamics wind tunnels in the automotive. Thesis contains overview of historical evolution of wind tunnels and their categorization. Following chapter describes main parts of wind tunnel, ways of measurement in wind tunnels and problems during testing.
Relevance of the hydrostatic and hydrodynamic paradox
Vacula, Jiří ; Haluza, Miloslav (referee) ; Fialová, Simona (advisor)
This bachelor’s thesis is concerned with the explanation of the hydrostatic and hydrodynamic paradox existence. Above all hydrostatic paradox is not in general properly explained which causes additional puzzle. Therefore the aim of this thesis is to find real reasons of these effects and in addition to check up possible consequences of liquid compressibility.
History and Present of Formula 1 Aerodynamic Components
Olšák, Jiří ; Drápal, Lubomír (referee) ; Vančura, Jan (advisor)
This bachelor thesis deals with research themed the history and present of Formula 1 aerodynamic components. It focuses on those components, that significantly have affected the aerodynamic properties and behaviour of F1 cars, as in the past, so in the present. It also discusses the categorization of the various elements of the current F1 cars, followed by evaluation of insight into the overall aerodynamic loads.
Local Ventilation
Bilík, Martin ; Otáhal, Jan (referee) ; Krejčí, Vladimír (advisor)
This bachelor thesis deals with local ventilation, especially a variant of the local exhausting. At the start of work shall indicate the reasons why it is ventilation very important. There are listed some requirements for ventilation of technical and legislative terms. Ventilation systems are analyzed by several criteria in the next part. The next chapter of this work is devoted to systems and methods of local ventilation. In one chapter is made and a description of the distribution parts of the ventilation system. The last chapter deals with designing and using exhaust adapters. There is also made comparison of their parameters, which represent the operating costs associated with using these adapters.
Study efficiency of modern thermal insulation for buildings
Šot, Petr ; auditor, Karel Trojan, Brno, energetický (referee) ; Šťastník, Stanislav (advisor)
The bachelor´s thesis deals with the problem of thermoreflect insulation. The small part of thesis focuses on the energy demand of buildings and its problems. Then the greater extent is analysed problems by heat transfer of material. It includes effects arising from the individual methods of heat transfer and defines the level of expression of individual methods of heat transfer in materials. The thesis presents an overview of experimental methods for determining thermal insulating properties of insulators. Then there is shown a selection of the most widespread insulation materials used in today´s construction. It includes the division of insulators in terms of used materials and subsequent classification of the most used materials in these groups. Another part of thesis deals with the thermoreflect isolation. There are mentioned the necessary concepts for the study of thermoreflect thermal insulation, which include the emissivity surface, the coefficient of mutual radiation and translucency of the material. Then there is described the method heat transfer of thermoreflect isolation. On the next there are presented experimental methods of determining thermal insulating properties thermoreflect thermal-insulating material. The thesis also includes a practical part, which contains the measurement results on a small range of samples taken termoreflection insulators. In the end there is mentioned a brief realization of thermoreflection thermal insulation materials in buildings.
Safety submersion depth of small hydro-power plant Vydra 2 inlet
Jobánek, Stanislav ; Žoužela,, Michal (referee) ; Šulc, Jan (advisor)
The thesis deals the measurement results on a physical model of the inlet part of the small hydro-power plant Vydra 2. The influence of the shape and location of the intake into the pressure pipe of small hydro-power plant Vydra 2 with respect to the water surface state was analysed. The work also deals with possibilities of using devices to eliminate the generation of vortex of higher intensities.
