Environment for Animation of Algorithms - Translator and Data Manipulation
Štěpán, Petr ; Holan, Tomáš (referee) ; Kryl, Rudolf (advisor)
This bachelor's thesis describes some of the main components of the AAnim software project. AAnim offers an environment for viewing and creating own programs in a simple Pascal-like language named AL. AL programs can be singlestepped, it is possible to display and change the values of their variables using the table of variables or using more advanced renderers and type editors. The more specialised animation of the running program is provided by visualisation modules (named animators). The titled input data of an algorithm (input variable sets) can be created, further used and managed by AAnim. AAnim is extensible by adding modules which deliver new types, functions and procedures to AL and animators. The following main components of the program are described in this work: translator, unified algorithm data management, type editors and renderers and animators.

Valka camp by Nurnberg (1949-1954)
Arenbergerová, Helena ; Pullmann, Michal (referee) ; Štaif, Jiří (advisor)
The theme of my work is Valka, a camp for refugees and strangers without home, one camp out of many. By combining and confronting various kinds of resources: both written and oral, official and non-official, I strive to draw a more solid picture of the camp's reality. Although the camp existed - bearing the name Valka - between 1946 and 1960, my focus lies in the period between 1949 and 1954 when Valka served as a governrnent-run, Bavarian camp, opened for refugees from Communist Czechoslovakia. In the course of íts history, the camp would internationalize, opening its gates for the post-bellum "homeless", ie. displaced persons. Due to the motives which forged Valka's existence, I launch my work by discussing Czechoslovak refugee situation as well as the shift in the state boarders: I place the refugee problems into a broader context, focusing, however, on the Western, especially American Occupation Zone. At the same tirne, stilI in the First Chapter, I pinpoint the important differences in approaches of the International, and the Local - i.e. German -, authorities. The Second Chapter deals with the history and development of the very space where Valka existed, I focus on the organizational and structural changes between 1949 and 1954. The Third Chapter is based on both archival and secondary resources, as...

The aim of the thesis under the title Innovation and a business project, is to develop a specific entrepreneurial project represented by a fitness centre and to evaluate it from the perspective of its feasibility and return upon investment. Firstly, the theoretical concept of entrepreneurship is analyzed. The next step includes the analysis of applicable legal framework governing entrepreneurship in the Czech Republic and the last step is represented by the definition of the structure of the business project. In the first part, business is described by its general characteristics. The next part is dedicated to environment analysis analyzing the internal and external factors influencing the business. Next step defines business opportunities which includes description of services that the business will provide. Then, human resources required for running the business have to be determined, as well as marketing strategy supplemented by a marketing mix. Based on this, a SWOT analysis is developed, identifying strengths, weaknesses, opportunities and threats having an impact on the business. The final part comprises financial plan which deals, inter alia, with project is economic rentability and conditions underpinning its feasibility.

Visual Programming Backend for a Mobile Robot
Staněk, Ondřej ; Obdržálek, David (advisor) ; Bednárek, David (referee)
Title: Visual Programming Backend for a Mobile Robot Author: Bc. Ondřej Staněk Department: The Department of Software Engineering Supervisor: RNDr. David Obdržálek, Ph.D. Supervisor's e-mail address: David.Obdrzalek@mff.cuni.cz Abstract: In this work, the author designs and implements a solution for programming small mobile robots using a visual programming language. A suitable visual programming front-end is selected and back-end layers are created that allow execution of the program in a mobile robot. The author designs and implements a virtual machine that runs alongside the original robot firmware on an 8-bit microcontroller with limited resources. A code generator layer compiles the visual representation of the program into a sequence of bytecode instructions that is interpreted on board of the mobile robot. The solution supports typical features of procedural programming languages, in particular: variables, expressions, conditional statements, loops, static arrays, function calls and recursion. The emphasis is put on robustness of the implementation. To verify and maintain code quality, methods of automated software testing are used. Advanced HDR image viewer
Wirth, Michal ; Křivánek, Jaroslav (advisor) ; Wilkie, Alexander (referee)
04.01.17 abstract.txt 1 file:///home/misa/Desktop/dp/abstract.txt The primary purpose of this thesis is to determine criteria for a high- dynamic range (HDR) image viewer accented by computer graphics artists and other users who work with HDR images produced by physically-based renderers on a daily basis. Also an overview of already existing solutions is present. Based on both of them, a new HDR viewer is designed and implemented giving an emphasis on its memory and performance efficiency. For these purposes two alternative image data layouts, Array-of-Structures (AoS) and Structure-of-Arrays (SoA), are discussed and their impact is measured on the speed of an algorithm for changing image saturation which has been selected as a representative part of whole tone mapping process of the viewer. It has turned out that the latter type of layout allows the algorithm to run about 3 times faster or more under the conditions of a defined testing environment. The thesis has two main contributions. First it gives the above users a tool which could help them when working with HDR images. Second it indicates that there may be a potential of significant speed-up of implementations of tone mapping algorithms.
