Design of cable-stayed pedestrian bridge

This diploma thesis aims to design a structure of pedestrian bridge over the Svratka river. To make a preliminary study of possible bridging, three different outlines were drafted. The cable-stayed variant was selected for further analysis. Two towers, inclined in both their longitudinal and transverse direction, support a cast-in-place post-tensioned concrete deck through stay cables anchored in the tower and the deck. After determining the desired initial state, a finite element analysis was carried out using the Ansys software. The capacity of all main load-bearing elements was checked so it meets the ULS and SLS design criteria in accordance with EN 1992 codes.

Plan curved cable stayed pedestrian bridge

In my thesis, I created a study of plan curved cable stayed pedestrian bridge. As the main construction material is used prestressed concrete. Suspenders and railing are made from steel. The footbridge has a length of 130,00 meters and a width of 3,70 meters. The plan shape of the structure is composed of two oposite arches. Bridge deck is made of box girder. The bridge deck is single-side suspended on two concrete pylons with a height of 39,00 m. Pylons are supported by suspender.

Continues concrete bridge structure on the expressway R2

The subject of master thesis is expressway R2 in Slovakia through a valley. Height of the construction is limited by a railway line and a local road. From two designed variants was chosen one and futher examined. The span lenght of bridge fields is 24,5 +5 x 30+24,5m. The structure was designed according to ultimate and serviceability limite states and construction stages were considered in model. In master thesis was processed structural design report, drawnings, visualization and engineering report.

The issue of determination of the static modulus of elasticity of concrete in structures

The thesis deals with the measurement of the elastic modulus of concrete in existing structures and possibilities of applicability of equations for the calculation of characteristic values of concrete compressive strength on the modulus of elasticity. The modulus of elasticity is determined by dynamic and static methods on specimens taken from the concrete blocks, whose composition varies by a water cement ratio and varying amounts of admixtures. In conclusion, the results of the measurements are compared and the characteristic values of the modulus of elasticity is determined.

Static verification and variant design of roof structure of winter sport stadium in Jihlava city

Object of this master thesis is the static verification and variant desing of roof structure of winter sport stadium in Jihlava city. The ground plan dimensions are 60 x 84 m The current structure is composite of truss main girders with parabolic lower chords, and purlins. Axial distances of main girders are 12m. Concrete columns are a support to main girders. The variant desing of roof uses truss girders and truss purlins. They are supported on existing concrete columns. All load bearing members of existing and new design structure have been evaluated according to actual normative rules. The static assessment of the existing structure is not satisfied from viewpoint of ultimate and serviceability limit states (in some elements). The static assessment of the new structure is satisfied from the viewpoint of both limit states.

Bridge over a brook and local road

The aim of the diploma thesis is the proposal of a bridge structure in the direction of Frýdek-Místek - Mosty u Jablunkova. A bridge is used to overcome the local road and Malý javorový stream. From three alternatives is selected a post-tensioned two-beam concrete struction and assessed according to the limit states. It is developed clear and detail drawings and visualization of the bridge.

Stochastic analysis of shear failure of reinforced concrete beams

The diploma thesis is focused on a solution of the load reaction of the bridge construction from girders KA-73. Proposal methods of the nonlinear analysis by means of final elements on the stochastic and deterministic level are used for the solution of the load reaction. A simulation technique Latin Hypercube Sampling is used within the stochastic analysis. A material degradation in the form of the trussing corrosion is solved with the expected decrease of the construction lifetime. The conclusion of the thesis contains an evaluation of initial quantities of material parameters for the load reaction of the construction in the form of the sensitivity analysis.

Full-electronic application in the Czech Republic

The theme of this work is the real possibility of introducing the electronic-only submission in the Czech Republic, concretely the following use of the services of the public administration contact places, the so calles Czech POINTs. In the first part are discussed the tools of the e-government and the possibilities of the electronic submission in the Czech Republic. In the next part are analyzed the services provided by the contact places Czech POINT, including my own investigation. The main analysis of this work is the evaluation of the awareness about the Czech POINT services and their use, especially the submission in the trade licencing register.

This involves choosing the type of living, the form of funding this living and the way to get a loan, either non-life or life insurance. The goal is to review the whole process of acquiring the proper living and finding the crieria upon which is good to go by while chosing a living and its financing. Every aspect of this will be shown on concrete example with help of desicion making tree and analysis of the financial market.

Evaluation of Selected Product Promotion within the Business Strategy

The diploma thesis deals with the business strategy of a chosen quarry within the scope of promotion of one concrete chosen stone product. The thesis consists of two parts - a theoretical and a practical one. The theoretical part introduces the linear information research focusing on the explanation of a definition and dividing of the quarry, granite and its mining, the concept of the company and afterwards the explanation of business strategies, strategical thinking and the company management. In the final part of the linear research the thesis deals with the product itself, its distribution and promotion.
The second, practical part focuses on the chosen quarry in the Czech Republic, which is presenting one of its products. On the grounds of a questionnaire research a concrete type of promotion which should lead to better selling of the product and therefore better profitability of the company will be suggested.
