The History of the Guild Crafts in a Town Krupka

This diploma thesis entitled "The history of guild crafts in a town Krupka" aims to bring the origin, development and functioning of craft guilds which operated in the town Krupka. The main aim of this diploma thesis is to analyze the content of guild orders, guild books and file material from different perspectives, which are described in detail in the chapters, in which the work is divided. The chapter sources and literature reflects the important archival sources related to guilds in a general scale for the territory of Krupka and the chapter also informs about the basic issued publications, that are thematically bind to the guild organizations, their development and functioning. The following section outlines the administrative development in the town Krupka. At the core is the chapter dealing with the guild craft in Krupka from different angles and perspectives. The annexes attached to this thesis is complemented with information referred to in the text of the work, and are composed mainly of namespaces of craftsmen.
The guilds at Příbram in the 16th to 18th Century

The subject of the thesis "The guilds at Příbram at the 16th to 18th century" is the analysis of guilds that originated and were founded by craftsmen in 16th to 18th century. The first part of thesis deals with the origins of guilds generally in Bohemia, their structure, activities and mission and also concentrates on guild's judiciary. The second part is focused on guild's articles, issued by each of the craft guilds, which provide basic information about the internal structure and functioning of the guild's organization and further details of the legislative acts of the Emperor Charles VI. in the form of general guild's patent and general guild's articles. The last part focuses on the individual guilds in the town Příbram since their establishment in 16th century to 18th century until their cancellation by the new issued trade regulations in 1859, when the guilds were transformed into new trade communities.
Guilds of clothing and textile crafts in Krupka

This barchelor thesis called "Guilds of textile and clothing crafts in Krupka" aims to approach and explain working of single textile and clothing guilds in Krupka - guild of tailors, stockings manufacturers, weavers and leather dressers. This barchelor thesis reflects the time period 1589-1859 and presents the information on the numbers of apprencites, getting the master right and functioning of the guilds on the basis of preserved guild statues and guild books.The thesis is divided into several chapters. Sources and literature section contains the information about the sources from which this thesis is based, and the literature, that was used for this thesis or related to the topic of guilds.The following chapter provides a brief development of guilds in the Czech lands. The core of this thesis is a chapter describing in detail the functioning of textile and clothing guilds in Krupka. For supplement the information serve supplements, which contain name lists of taken apprentices and master right holders.

Název bakalářské práce v anglickém jazyce: The Tiled stoves from the nineteenth century at the Prague Castle and aristocratic settlements in Bohemia Abstract The aim of this essay is to detail a masonry stove in neo-gothic style from 19th century at the Prague Castle and aristocratic settlements in Bohemia. I also concern myself with interiors and history of stove-fitting in Czech Republic. All the rooms with the stoves used to be luxurious, comfortable, nice and warm. The main topic of my bachelor thesis is history of stoves in the Prague Castle. I describe the interesting part of Prague Castle including Old Royal Palace with its Vladislav Hall and the House of Lords with a big neo- gothic tiled stove, the only one here. The stove was created between years 1808-1836 at the time of the rule of the king Francis II. (ruling from 1792 to 1835) and the last Czech crowned Emperor Ferdinand V. Dobrotivý (ruling from 1830 to 1848). On the occasion of the coronation, which took place on the 7th September 1836 in the St. Vitus Cathedral, the Vladislav Hall and The House of Lord, the Old Royal Palace was rebuilt and decorated. Czech culture in eyes of foreign students studying Czech universities (university ambient in Prague)

This bachelor thesis is concerned with the Czech culture from the view of foreign students of Czech universities and was elaborated on the basis of a field research and studying of accesible literature. The whole text is structured into six main chapters. The introduction contains the subject and structure of the thesis. The second chapter gives attention to the used literature and respondents. The third chapter describes the methodology of my work, foremost the field research, which came through in the form of questionnaire enquiry and set of interviews with foreign students. In the theoretical part there are introduced some important conceptions and also the description of life paths and possibilities of foreign students. The empirical part processes results of the completed field research. The conclusion summarizes remarkable achievements of the thesis.
Czech and Slovak immigration to Canada

The scope of work will focus on Czech and Slovak Immigration to Canada. The first chapter will be theoretical; it will contain a brief overview of historical data and a description of the main motives for migration and the current trends of migration to Canada. It will be based on literary research and partially on the completed questionnaire I am going to briefly outline the current possibilities for Czech and Slovaks when it comes to immigration policies. I am going to make reference to Roma migration to Canada as a recently discussed issue between Canada and Czech Republic. Other parts of this report are going to be practical; observation will be given to the statistical data related to Czech and Slovak Immigration to Canada. I will compare the historical and contemporary trends in migration. Part of this report will be based on my questionnaire to Czech and Slovak emigrants in Canada. I am going to present the data I have collected.
The diplomatic material of guilds at Havlíčkův Brod area until 1850.

The main task of this thesis is to summarize the diplomatics material of guild corporations at Havlíčkův Brod area into integrated form. Bacause of broad topic, the selection was only focused on the textile craft occurring in this region and especially in deeds. In the introducion the work presents history of the guilds from their beginning to the final downfall - focusing on textile production. It summarizes the genaral situation of the surviving monuments. The edition which is created from deeds issued by these corporations and also by publishers for mentioned guilds - this is the main core of the thesis. The deeds are arranged chronologically according particular guilds and towns. They are completed by diplomatic analysis of internal and external signs and by the final study, which summarizes all the research.
Cooper, wheelwright, blacksmith and joiner guild, Netolice (1555 - 1888)

Bachelor work Cooper, wheelwright, blacksmith and joiner guild, Netolice (1555 - 1888) deals with progress of this united craft guild in Netolice. Prologue acquaint a reader with theme of the work, resources and literature which was used to compile this work. Work itself is divided into five chapters. The first one deals with historical evolution of Netolice. The second chapter describes progress of craft production. The third chapter specificly intents origination, progress and structure of craft guilds until their canceling in 1859. The fourth one describes when craft guilds in Netolice originates. The fifth chapter intents right on cooper, wheelwright, blacksmith and joiner guild, description of extant guild documents, especialy guild articles and progression of membership inside of the guild, based on directive papers and description of this progression by well-arranged charts. Epilogue summarises obtained knowledges about given craft guild. At the end of the work is catalogue of used resources and literature. This work also includes supplements which contains charts, graphs and examples of handwriting and guild seals.
Transformation textile company Fezko in Strakonice in 19th and 21st century

The Bachelor's Thesis deals with the south-Bohemian textile company Fezko situated in the city of Strakonice. After founding in the beginning of the 19th century, the company was in progress and changed differently over the years. It became famous mainly as a manufacturer and a supplier of fezzes, a kind of red headgear worn largely by Islamists. Fez was exported to distant places, especially in Turkey. The company was not only specialised in fez production, but there were also made other headgears, such as berets, and common pieces of clothing, such as coats, suits and scarfs. At present, the company focuses on the manufacturing of textile interiors for the automotive industry. In the thesis, there are also stated the reasons why fezzes were produced in the city of Strakonice and its surroundings. Last but not least, the thesis explores the life conditions of company workers, their wages, working time, in what way the company influenced their lives and, finally, the possible reasons why the workers went on strike.
