International legal framework for foreign political missions of the European Union
Faix, Martin ; Hofmannová, Mahulena (advisor) ; Hýbnerová, Stanislava (referee) ; Klučka, Ján (referee)
1 Abstract One of the proclaimed goals of the European Union is to contribute to an "effective multilateral system leading to a fairer, safer and more united world". In order to enable itself to achieve these goals, the EU implemented a number of changes in the field of its common foreign and security policy. One of the most apparent elements of this process became its crisis management operations (CMOs). The progressive development of the ESDP, creation of capabilities enabling the EU to conduct military operations, and continuously raising number of military CMOs, point more and more urgently to the need to analyze these developments through the prism of international law. Out of these facts arises also the main question of the thesis: Has the EU's increasing military emancipation been paralleled by the definition of a clear international legal framework? The thesis is divided in five parts. The first chapter provides an overview of the basic characteristics and present status of the ESDP. We argued that the EU in order to achieve its goals has currently a wide range of instruments at its disposal, including an emergency a crisis response system. This system enables the EU to respond to whole spectrum of crisis situations and conflicts, including peace enforcement operations. The EU established respective...

Hyperfine interactions in maghemite and magnetite particles
Křišťan, Petr ; Štěpánková, Helena (advisor) ; Procházka, Ivan (referee)
Thesis is aimed at studying of magnetic iron oxide particles of submicron and nanoscale dimensions by means of nuclear magnetic resonance (NMR). 57 Fe NMR inves- tigations were carried out in composite bentonite/maghemite with respect to tempera- ture of calcination (Tcalc) during the sample preparation and in magnetite submicron powders with respect to various range of the particles size. One of the main findings is that increasing Tcalc improves resolution in the NMR spectra, which is most likely connected with higher degree of atomic ordering in the spinel structure. Evaluating the integral intensities of NMR spectra allowed us to determine the relative content of maghemite phase in particular samples of the series: the content rapidly grows for Tcalc up to ∼420 deg. An approach to distinguish signal from tetrahedral and octahedral irons was developed and tested on pure maghemite sample. Analysis based on vacancy- distribution models was performed in the spinel structure and the results were compared to the experiment. 57 Fe NMR spectra in submicron magnetite samples were found to differ markedly from spectrum of a single crystal. It was concluded that the investigated powders possess high amount of defects in the crystal structure or contain additional phase (probably closely related to the maghemite phase).

Impacts of the Great Depression on the Czechoslovak Industry and Agriculture in the 30s of the 20th century
Suchá, Monika ; Fabianková, Klára (advisor) ; Chalupecký, Petr (referee)
The aim of this thesis is analyse impacts of the Great Depression on Czechoslovak economy. Main attention is devoted to industry and agriculture. This thesis also describes real measures which were introduced in those sectors of Czechoslovak economy. Those measures are also critically evaluated. Unlike the major part of studies, the Great Depression is researched from the perspective of Czechoslovak economists and economic theorists. The Great Depression is described in context of Czechoslovak political spectrum. The main theory of the thesis is statement that Czechoslovak government has chosen correct measures for stabilization the Czechoslovakian economy. Nevertheless I disprove this thesis in the end. Based on comparison with industrial and agricultural production indexes I found that worse impact of crisis was at industry than agriculture.

Spectral properties of basilar membrane in the cochlea of the inner ear
Jozíf, Lukáš ; Dušek, Daniel (referee) ; Mišun, Vojtěch (advisor)
This thesis aims to verify the function of the cochlea as a spectrum analyzer based on computational modeling of macro-mechanics of the cochlea using FEM. I aim to identify the spectrum of the basilar membrane, which is dependent on the variability of geometry, material characteristics and the presence of liquid environments. Interactions between liquid and solid phases is described by fluid-structure interaction in the system ANSYS. The model is linear and does not pursue an active policy of metabolic processes. Further the work focuses on the decomposition of the sound and check of two best known hypotheses about the transmission frequency of the sound to the brain.

Education of Children with Autism
Rendlová, Petra ; Ortová, Marie (advisor) ; Bémová, Hana (referee)
The thesis is mainly about two different things. The first part deals with the education of autistic children in the mainstream school. The second part is about education of autistic children in the special basic school. The author writes about reasons why she decided to choose this topic and why she describes these two types of education for children with autism. The second chapter tells us about the diagnosis of autism. We can read about different diagnostical methods, disturbances in autistic spectrum, combination mental handicap with autism and possibilities in education. The third chapter is about the integration. Theoretical part is focused on the teacher itself, his skills, education, personality etc. The cooperation with the family of the child is very important for making the Individual educational plan which is necessary for good educaion of these children. There is also description of two institutions dealing with the process of integration. There is also written the casework of a child who has been succesfully integrated into a mainstream school. Next part describes the education in the special basic school. To know the legislative is very important for every teacher working in this type of school. The author used to work in the special school in the Rooseveltova street and she tells us about...

Venticular activation patterns in conduction abnormalities and during different pacing modes (aktivační sekvence při poruchách komorového vedení a různých typech komorové stimulace)
Peichl, Petr ; Kautzner, Josef (advisor) ; Lukl, Jan (referee) ; Kittnar, Otomar (referee)
Academic dissertation: Ventricular activation patterns in conduction abnormalities and during different pacing modes Petr Peichl, MD, Department of Cardiology, IKEM, Vídeňská 1958/9, Prague, Czech Republic 5 Congestive heart failure (CHF) is a progressive disease caused by left ventricular dysfunction with high morbidity and mortality rates. Ventricular dysfunction is often linked to ventricular dilatation, which in turn may cause ventricular conduction delays and further worsening of the cardiac function. Recent decade gave rise to cardiac resynchronization therapy (CRT), a therapeutic modality based on premise that preexcitation of late activating10 regions by cardiac pacing may restore the left ventricular synchronous contraction. The goals of the publications included in the dissertation were: (1) to analyze the ventricular activation patterns in patients eligible for CRT with respect to the underlying heart disease and/or QRS morphology on the surface electrocardiogram(ECG), (2) to quantify changes in ventricular activation patterns during different pacing modes and (3) to compare15 the hemodynamic performance of different pacing modes during exercise. 1. Patients with CHF and wide QRS complex represent a broad spectrum of underlying conduction disturbances with variable inter- and intraventricular...

Device for diagnostic of induction machine
Buln, Tom ; Janda, Marcel (referee) ; Huzlk, Rostislav (advisor)
The aim of the thesis is to study the problems of induction motors, which belong among the most widespread and used machines. Due to their expansion, it is advisable to start the fault monitoring to prevent any more damage and losses. It can be used for condition monitoring different types of methods, which are variety technically and costly demanding to implement. It is used the method of measurement using stator currents in this thesis, because these currents are already monitored and it is easy to create devices for a more detailed analysis. The whole monitoring is carried out using products from National Instruments. The program of monitoring is created in graphical setting of LabVIEW. The analysis is conducted by calculating the Fast Fourier transform of the time signal. The result is the frequency spectrum, which contains frequency peaks and some of these peaks represent failure. The test data are collected with a DAQ device and then the same data are used for creating a methodology for evaluating online analysis and it is subsequently implemented into CompactRIO.
