System for Sharing Scanners over Network
Richter, Martin ; Rychlý, Marek (referee) ; Očenášek, Pavel (advisor)
The purpose of this master's thesis is creation of a system capable of sharing scanners over computer network. The target scanner interfaces are TWAIN and WIA on Microsoft Windows operating system, and SANE on GNU/Linux. C++ programming language, Boost libraries and Qt framework were used to implement the programming part of this work. Several smaller helper libraries were implemented that are useful even outside this work, most notably TWAIN++ framework. The resulting system enables the user to share scanners over network, and scan using any of the aforementioned interfaces.

Computational Histories of Turing Machines and Their Generation by Scattered Context Grammars
Kajan, Dušan ; Soukup, Ondřej (referee) ; Meduna, Alexandr (advisor)
The purpose of this thesis is to show a method, that would transform given Turing machine into propagating scattered context grammar, which language contains all valid computational histories of that particular Turing machine. Afterwards this thesis deals with questions arising from existence of such algorithm, especially in regards to the current knowledge about power of propagating scattered context grammars. Practical examples and implementation of proposed algorithm is also part of this thesis.

Possibilities of semi-automatic Form Creation
Švengrová, Klára ; Krejčová, Iva (advisor) ; Vlnas, Pavel (referee)
The aim of this work is to offer the reader insight into the possibilities offered by editors that is used to create forms. They had explained concepts related to the topic extended to the analysis of data obtained from the survey. There are analyzed and evaluated and compared web editors and a computer program used for creating questionnaires. Each editor mentioned in this work. I have personally tried and went through all the available options. The result is a comprehensive work, which is able to offer the reader an overview of the topic relating to methods of production of semi forms.

O problémech seřazení při řízení servisních operací
Lín, Václav ; Vomlel, Jiří (advisor) ; Jiroušek, Radim (referee) ; Kouba, Zdeněk (referee) ; Ottosen, Thorsten Jorgen (referee)
The subject of the thesis belongs to the field of operations management. We deal with sequencing problems arising when there are multiple repair operations available to fix a broken man-made system and the true cause of the system failure is uncertain. It is assumed that the system is formally described by a probabilistic model, and it is to be repaired by a sequence of troubleshooting operations designed to identify the cause of the malfunction and fix the system. The challenge is to find a course of repair which has minimal expected cost. We study several variants of the problem proposed in the literature. We analyze computational complexity of those variants, apply integer linear programming to one variant of the problem, and examine the relation to machine scheduling.

Optimization of Signalling Traffic in IMS Subsystem of NGN Networks
Nagy, Ľuboš ; Orgoň, Miloš (referee) ; Bezpalec, Pavel (referee) ; Novotný, Vít (advisor)
One of causes of increased latency service over the whole IMS network can be unbalanced SIP (Session Initiation Protocol) signalling traffic through CSCF (Call Session Control Function). This thesis is devoted to the proposal of weight-based load balancing algorithm which can be used for the S-CSCF assignment performed by I-CSCF during the initial registration procedure of subscribers over the IMS architecture. The designed mechanism is implemented and evaluated in the mathematical model of IMS subsystem based on single servers with FIFO queues with the unlimited capacity in the numerical computing environment - Matlab. Two test-cases with different performance conditions of available S-CSCFs are described. The influence of measured latency affected by performance of other nodes (e.g. P-CSCF, I-CSCF, HSS, etc.) is minimized. Each of simulated test-cases is measured with various service times of SCSCFs and inter-arrival times. The obtained results of designed algorithm are compared with well-known selection algorithm – the round-robin algorithm. It is shown that new selection mechanism improved the service latency of whole IMS network. The possible weakness of the designed weight-based algorithm is sensitivity to traffic model over the modelled IMS architecture.

Interdoménové a intradoménové interakce u motorové podjednotky EcoR124I: Výpočetní studie
SINHA, Dhiraj
EcoR124I is a Type I restrictionmodification (RM) enzyme and as such forms multifunctional pentameric complexes with DNA cleavage and ATP-dependent DNA translocation activities located on the motor subunit HsdR. When non-methylated invading DNA is recognized by the complex, two HsdR endonuclease/motor subunits start to translocate dsDNA without strand separation activity up to thousands base pairs towards the stationary enzyme while consuming ~1 molecule of ATP per base pair advanced. Whenever translocation is stalled the HsdR subunits cleave the dsDNA nonspecifically far from recognition site. The X-ray crystal structure of HsdR of EcoR124I bound to ATP gave a first insight of structural/functional correlation in the HsdR subunit. The four domains within the subunit were found to be in a square planer arrangement. Computational modeling including molecular dynamics in combination with crystallography, point mutations, in vivo and in vitro assays reveals how interactions between these four domains contribute to ATP-dependent DNA translocation, DNA cleavage or inter-domain communication between the translocase and endonuclease activities.

Some results of simulations of flows with internal permeable walls
Louda, Petr
The work deals with the numerical modelling of compressible flow in a domain containing permeable walls in its interior, i.e. submerged in the fluid. The aim is to exclude direct simulation and find a model approximating the flow through a permeable plate driven by the static pressure difference between the sides of the wall. The numerical experiments so far enable to understand better forming of parasitic wave structures in the measuring section of the wind tunnel. The model of permeable wall needs further verification.

Implementation of service functions for work with MIB database in simulation environment OPNET Modeler
Ruml, Martin ; Skořepa, Michal (referee) ; Molnár, Karol (advisor)
Implementation of service for work with MIB database is subjeckt the bachelor’s thesis. MIB database is system database which is instrumental for storage of control informations in network elements. A first chapter is instrumental like a introduction to the control computer networks. A second chapter describes the basic features of protocol SNMP. The protocol SNMP is a standardized application protocol which uses for a transmission control informacions from and to the system database MIB. The protocol is based on a draft manager-agent when the manager is mostly active who enquire of the agent for the values of concrete items. A next chapter deals with a structure and standards for the MIB database. It describes a basic enbranchment among the administrative organizations. A main part of working is devoted to a proposal and a implementation of servece functions MIB database. The main requirements for the MIB database in light of a cooperation with the protocol SNMP are identified in this chapter. These processes are trained-in to the experiment implementation of MIB database. The implementation is written in C++. A header file of the classes and supportive functions who implement basic mechanisms of MIB database and its methods for a tender the database created from the proposal. The header file contains the several processes for an easement of cooperation MIB database with the application protocol SNMP, too. A final chapter shows the using of designed classes. The created programe is equipped with a graphics interface who uses the functions for a local access. Very easy modul for the comunication with the database through the messages of SNMP is among next shown functions in the programe.
