Conversion of Bata Production Buildings

The subject of bachelor thesis is a conversion of Bata production buildings no. 24 and 25 to leasable units for small and medium business. The building site is located in the Svit area (Bata´s production areal) in city Zlín. This thesis is based on an architectural study prepared in the summer semester of the second year of study. The aim of the project is to demonstrate the usability of buildings intended for demolition. Objects are world-unique structures with very flexible frame structural system, which is usable for many purposes. This conversion to leasable units for business allows financial autonomy of the objects and predisposes them to permanent use. A system of removable partitions in the interior gives flexibility and universality to a units. The project involves the conversion of existing buildings no. 24 and 25 and new building no. 24/2. The building is designed as the main entrance, from which it is possible to access the two neighboring buildings by connecting bridges in the 3rd and 4th floors. Also provides restaurant and a seasonal rooftop terrace. The basic idea was to preserve valuable architectural expression of buildings in line with the modern concept. Valuable semi-public place is created between no. 24 and 25, whose function is to make more attractive central part of the city Zlín. New building is a landmark for employees and visitors, which integrates other services.
Proposal of Technological Documentation for Small Batch Production

This bachelor work describes the design of manufacturing technology for small batch production documentation that relates to the enterprise Bábor Eurodance. The work is divided into two parts. The first passage is a theoretical section which includes two sections - a classic production and craft production part. The practical section deals with the description of the current state of business and the proposal itself technological documentation for this company that is the result of my invention.
Science & Technology Park in Zlín

The subject of this thesis is the project of scientific and technological park in the Tomas Bata University in Zlín. This park is divided into three workplaces: the educational and training center, a workplace for applied research, and business center. This project is situated at the location of a former factory area of Baťa Company; specifically in its eastern part. This dissertation is focused on the analysis of the given location, evaluates it in terms of its potential, and finally sets out the main priorities that should be applied in the draft. The accompanying report then describes and specifies the project, as drawn graphically, in the form of situational patterns, plans, sections, perspectives, and visualizations. Specifically, the project deals with the reconstruction of the former manufacture building No. 24, proposes a construction of a new building no. 25, and provides a solution for space in between of these two buildings. The project primarily seeks to make the entire site more attractive, and bring it to the function which would implement the functions in the assignment of the technology park. The function of the technology park is divided with regard to the investors requirements. From the urban point of view, the project seeks to approach the problem stemming out of the essence of the place. The use of objects remaining on the site preserved, is designed not to disturb the architectural expression and static essence. Architectural expression of new objects is selected not to oppose the overall architectural expression of the site. The project also includes and evaluates the usage of solar energy.
The effect of Tomas Bata business on changes in employment in Zlin region since 1918 - 1932

Tomas Bata caused marginal economic changes because of his business activities in Zlin region during inter-war period. His business activities have had an indirect impact on the infrastructure, demographic trends and employment also in the present. The bachelor thesis analysis Czechoslovak economic development during inter-war period and studies the effect of Tomas Bata business on changes in employment in Zlin region since establishing of Czechoslovakia till Tomas Bata's death and brings an unique summary of the whole issue to the reader. Specifically the employment is analysed and compared with the employment in other parts of Czechoslovakia and with Czechoslovakia as a one whole unit. Analytic and comparative methods are used for statistic data processing. The analysis of available data denotes upward trend of employment in Zlin region and decisive influence of Tomas Bata on formation of modern Zlin. The comparison of statistic data indicates smaller deviation in unemployment in Zlin than in Czechoslovakia.
The strategy of the Bata Shoe Company on foreign markets (with a focus on the Czech market)

The bachelor thesis deals with the presence of the Bata Shoe Company on foreign markets. The emphasis is placed on the Czech market because of the larger amount of information available and also because of the possibility to conduct my own survey. Since the Czech affiliates of Bata are part of the Bata Shoe Organisation (BSO), based in Toronto, we can consider the Czech market to be foreign market. The aim of the thesis is to compare the original strategy of the Bata Shoe Company with the current strategy of the company. The work is based also on a SWOT analysis of the company. Information was collected from printed and electronic sources, as well as through a questionnaire survey conducted in the store of the Bata Company between employees and customers. The analysis of all the data obtained shows, that the basic elements of the Bata Management System are still maintained in running the company, particularly in relation to the company's customers and employees.
Sales methods of T. Bata in history and today

The aim this bachelors work is familiarization with business practices Bata and compare past and present, including determination their meaning. First, in chapters are characteristics of the Bata Shoe Organisation, followed by a description of the business practices of Bata in 1939, which are compared with the present in next chapter. In conclusion, the results of comparing are evaluated and the importance of sales methods of Tomas Bata are point out.
The heritage of Tomas Bata to current entrepreneurs

The bachelor's thesis deals with the heritage of Tomas Bata that he left for the future entrepreneurs. On the basis of gathering and categorizing the information gained using czech books about Bata and his management and also using internet resources the thesis tries to accomplish its goal which is to find and determine the heritage of Tomas Bata to current entrepreneurs. By analysing the gathered information I came to the conclusion that the most valuable heritage of Tomas Bata are his own ideas, his Management System, business strategy and the corporate social responsibility that he followed.
Innovation and access to customer according to Thomas Bata

This batchelor thesis deals with the customer's, innovative and social policy in the way, how was performed in Bata's company. The goal of this thesis is to evaluate if the Bata's business principles in these areas are or aren't actual in the present. To achieve this goal were in particular areas first named methods perfomed in Bata's company. Then was mentioned current theory and final the comparison. The ideas of topicality or not topicality particular areas were mentioned in two ways of view -- the opinion of author and the opinion of employment in companies, which were asked.
Possibilities for the application of corporate policy of Thomas Bata

This bachelor thesis deals with the phenomenon of entrepreneur Thomas Bata and his company. The aim is to investigate application possibilities of Bata's business policy in actual institutional framework in the Czech Republic. The thesis presents history, characters and organisation of Bata's company. The thesis is focused in more detail to Bata's social system, and defines precisely the most important Bata's measures. Individual issues are described in confrontation with actual situation and organization. Thanks to research facts, the answer to basic problem of the thesis, the possibility of application of Bata's business policy in actual conditions, is found out.
