The Use of Data Analytics in Internal and External Audit
Tecáková, Andrea ; Říhová, Zora (advisor) ; Kadochová, Lucie (referee)
Data Analytics is one of the fast-developing applications of IT in organizations worldwide. This Master's thesis examines data analytics in the context of internal and external audit. Principal aim of the thesis is to identify the opportunities for data analytics application in both audit disciplines. Secondary goal is to design a data-analytical procedure, apply it to actual business data and thus demonstrate the benefits of employing data analytics. The thesis builds on a summary of theoretical sources of the relevant area, followed by a survey conducted by the author. The survey maps current state of data analytics usage in both internal and external audit in the Czech Republic. The added value of this thesis is, apart from the identification of audit areas in which it is beneficial to use data analytics, the design of an analytical procedure and its application. Another benefit is the survey revealing current state of the art and the insights of interviewed auditors, pointing to both benefits and problems of data analytics application to the performance of the audit profession.

Valuation of the company Tank ONO, s.r.o.
Novák, Petr ; Strouhal, Jiří (advisor) ; Smrčka, Luboš (referee)
The output of this Master´s Thesis on the theme "Valuation of the company Tank ONO, s.r.o." is the estimation of market value of company as at the date of December 31, 2014, with the goal of selling off the company to a hypothetical general investor in the future. The theoretical part includes metodology and instruments used for company valuation, eg definition of main terms, explanation of valuation proces and methods, that are recognised as valid by specialised public. Afterwards, the second part (eg practical part) is aimed at applying the metodology in practice. First, the valuated company is shortly introduced and it is followed by financial and strategic analysis in order to evaluate the financial soundness and assess the perspective for company future. The conclusions of the above analysis are used for elaborating the value drivers and complex financial plan, that is followed by valuation of Tank ONO, s.r.o. In light of the company capital structure, there is chosen DCF equity method for final valuation, in this Thesis.

Comparison of Investment Options of Eden Jinolice Resort
Adámek, Vojtěch ; Sieber, Patrik (advisor) ; Kuchár, Róbert (referee)
This thesis deals with the issue of investment decision. The goal of thesis is to evaluate for the company owners optimal investment variant of predetermined investment opportunities. Thesis is divided into theoretical-methodological part, which summarizes all the methods and procedures and practical part. The practical part consists mainly of net present value calculations, which chosen input data will be afterwards analyzed by sensitivity test. Application of these apparatuses will reveal the best investment opportunity, respectively their combination

HYDROGEN ABSORPTION IN A-Co30Fe55B15
Čermák, Jiří ; Král, Lubomír ; Roupcová, Pavla
Hydrogen solved in amorphous alloys (AAs) influences their magnetic characteristics. AAs are also perspective\nas additives that can improve hydrogen storage kinetic in certain types of ball-milled hydrogen storage\nmaterials (HSMs). Therefore, knowledge of hydrogen solubility and hydrogen sorption kinetics in AAs are of a\ngreat importance for aimed design both AAs with optimal magnetic parameters and HSMs with desired sorption\ncharacteristics. In the present paper, amorphous alloy Co30Fe55B15 (an example of the type a-TM1xTM2y Bz ;\nTM - transition metal) was investigated. Hydrogen concentration c H was measured by Sieverts method in\ntemperature interval from T = 150 °C to T = 350 °C under hydrogen pressure p up to 6 MPa. It was found that\nc H was an increasing function of p and its maximum value was typically 0.5 wt.% H2 at 350 °C and 6 MPa.\nHowever, when the alloy was preliminary hydrogen charged (PHC), the pressure dependence of total c Htot in\nthe first absorption cycle(s) is non-monotonous in dependence on PHC conditions. For the sake of comparison,\nthe same absorption characteristics were measured also in Mg2Ni intermetallic that is a common constituent\nin Mg-based HSMs. Comparing Co30Fe55B15 and Mg2Ni, it was concluded that Co30Fe55B15 shows lower\nhydrogen solubility, but much better absorption kinetics.

Highly sensitive analysis of chlorophenols and sulfonamides in waters by electrophoretic focusion on inverse electromigration dispersion gradient with ESI-MS detection
Malá, Zdeňka ; Gebauer, Petr ; Boček, Petr
This work presents a new methodology for high-sensitivity analyses by capillary\nelectrophoresis (CE) with electrospray-ionization mass spectrometric (ESI-MS)\ndetection, based on electrophoretic focusing on an inverse electromigration dispersion\n(EMD) gradient. The technique is based on a robust electrolyte system providing a\ngradient of required properties, suitable for routine analyses of trace amounts of weak\nacids with pKa values between approx. 6.5 and 9. Examples analyses of several\nchlorophenols and sulfonamides are presented, with LODs around 3x10-9 M for spiked\ndrinking water without any sample pretreatment.

Geodiversity values as a basis for geosite and geomorphosite assessment: a case study from Žďárské vrchy Highland
Bajer, A. ; Kirchner, Karel ; Kubalíková, L.
Paper presents geodiversity values, geodiversity is understood as a set of geological, geomorphological and pedological components, including systems consisting of this components and geological, geomorphological and pedological processes. Geodiversity values are analyzed in relation to ecosystem values (e.g. cultural, functional value). Geodiversity values were used as basis for a methodical approach to geosite and geomorphosite assessment. Methodological approach is presented at selected sites in the top part of the Žďárské vrchy Highland. The acquired results can serve as a basis for geoconservation of PLA Žďárské vrchy, development of geotourism as well as an offer for extension geoeducational activities.\n
