Functional Competence as the Goal of Developing Speaking Skill in Teaching German as a Foreign Language

The thesis deals with the development of speaking skill whcn teaching German as a foreign language. It tries to analyse all possible aspects of speaking skill in order to develop the best possible teaching approach that would enable students to use their (spoken) language effectively and reach their communicative goals. For this skill. vvhich is defined mainly by the ability to perform the language functions that one needs to express, the term Tunctional competence' is used. An important feature of this term is the preference of success of communication to its correctness. The theoretical part first explains the terms used in the thesis (ability / skill / competence, learning versus acquisition). Afterwards, speaking skill is analysed in the context of other communicative skills, i. e. listening, reading. and writing, so that it is clear that no particular skill can be dealt with in a completely isolated way and that the teaching process should always involve an appropriate combination of various communicative skills. A separate chapter describes the differences between monologues and dialogues / polylogues. After that. three stages of speaking skill are analysed (imitative speaking. guided non-imitative speaking, and autonomous speaking). Mass media and the development of pre-reading of preschool children

This thesis maps mass media, especially television broadcasting and electronic devices with connection to the Internet, in the lives of pre-school children, and investigates the relationship between mass media and development of initial reading skills. The theoretical part analyses existing literature relevant to pre-school child development elementary reading and mass media, while the empirical research makes an independent investigation into this phenomenon in society using questionnaires for pre-school children's parents, structured interviews with selected children, and structured interviews with open-ended questions with selected pre-school teachers. The aim of this work is to determine today's pre-school children's interests in books compared with television and electronic devices with connection to the Internet, to look at how parents strengthen their children's relationships with books, and to identify methods for controlling the programmes that children watch.

Solution alternatives of lifting platform

The aim of this thesis is to analyze the possibility of mechanical design platform lifts. Proposal lifting platform with mechanical and hydraulic drive with a capacity of 3500 kg and lift 600 mm. The work is mainly focused on design and strength calculation mechanism and structure. Proposal hydraulic circuits and the development drawings for both types of drive.

The cooperation between the kindergarten and the family for a child's personal development

The intention of this work is analyzed in detail ideas of parents for their cooperation with the kindergarten, the current state of cooperation and expectations of teachers from the parents of the children. The theoretical part contains the legal definition of preschool education, the family and the principles of family relationships, as well as a kindergarten and its current possibilities of cooperation with the family. The conclusion of the theoretical part is devoted to the child's personality. The practical part of the research carried out very detailed questionnaire method in nursery school. The research results are graphically presented and evaluated, there is also a researcher's own observations. The conclusion summarizes the expectations of parents, teachers and new knowledge from the theoretical part.

The implementation of structural funds of the European Union in the cohesion regions of Central Bohemia and Central Moravia

The thesis deals with economic and social cohesion of the European Union. It describes historical development and current programming period including operational programmes, their goals and priorities. The main objective of the thesis is, based on the analysis of strategic documents of cohesion regions of Central Bohemia and Central Moravia, to evaluace the capability of drawing financial means from EU structural funds.

Development of reading literacy of preschool and early school age

The thesis is focused on the development of pre-readers literacy in pre-school and early school age. The main aim of the research is to methodologically specify the methods of literacy development of pre-school and school age children at selected nursery and primary schools in Luby. The theoretical part deals with the key concepts of the questions in research and discusses the methodological approaches suitable for working with this age group with an emphasis on the development of the key skills of literacy. The practical part presents in concrete examples a set of activities and worksheets suitable for developing literacy skills of pre-school and early school age children. Therefore one of the main aims of this thesis is to create a useful methodological material that would become a suitable tool for teachers working with children of this age group. Meanwhile I have been enquiring the way of continuing cooperation between nursery and primary school. The methods used for data collection include participant observation in two types of schools. i.e. pre-school class in Luby and the first grade at the primary school in Luby, in which I participate both as an observer and participant. Furthermore, there are standardized interviews with the teachers of pre-school education and primary school teachers of the 1st grade. The data are divided into the synoptic units, from which I took the final results of this research issue.

School readiness in aspect speech development.

This Bachelor's thesis deals with the theme of the level of speech of children at the preschool age. Language skills are one of standards of school readiness. The purpose of the thesis is to discover what is the level of the speech of children at the age from 5 to 5;5. In the theoretical part I will describe the language structure, ontogenetic development of speech from the birth up to preschool period. In practical part I will determine supposions that I will prove or disprove using the method of observation, method of logopaedic search and tests from Diagnostika jazykového vývoje (Diagnostics of language development) that works to evaluate the development of language skills of children at the preschool age and contains tests that inquire into the all points of language.

Folk Traditions and The Key Competences Development

This work deals with integrating folk traditions into the offer of education of a kindergarten in accordance with the General Educational Program for Preschool Education and their contribution to the development of key competencies. The theoretical part defines the meaning of key skills, specifies the key skills in the preschool education and conducts an assessment of these competencies. Potential of folk traditions for the development of key competencies is established. In frame of the next section the most important holidays and traditions, their importance, history as well as the ways of celebration are characterized. The practical part is devoted to the creation of specific thematic units. These units are continuously evaluated and a research documenting the benefits of folk traditions to the development of key competencies is performed. This program is implemented and its actual benefits in practice are evaluated in terms of the contribution of selected activities to the development of key competencies.

Educational Activities of Churches in Czech Republic for Preschool Children

PhDr. Jana Uhlířová, CSc. This dissertation presents broad context of religious education generally together with the discourse of church established schools, above all nursery schools. The first, theoretical part treats with the broad topic of religious education in the context of the psychology of religion, religious socialization and the experience and the development of moral standards. This section also defines the role of family, church, school and the society in the religious development of the child and the transferring the beliefs and the traditions to young generation. Second practical part is divided into two substantive parts. First on the basis of analysis of questionnaire survey monitors the activities of religious nursery schools, their activities and teaching in relation to the proposed religious and educational goals. Second unit of this part deals with extracurricular activities that churches are doing for children during the week.

Circle Time in Kindergarten

This bachelor thesis deals the community circle in the kindergaten. Theoretical part deals with curent preschool child and organization of the day in the kindergaten. Community circle is normal part of the day. The next part says about community circle, his function and techniques. The end the theoretical part is the development the preschool child. The child development in the motor development, cognitive and speech. The practical part is devoted to research. During the investigation were monitored the children's behavior in the community circle. There has been used the method of observation and analysis of videotapes of the kindergarten environment.The information obtained testify indicate the group of children aged 3-5 years.
