Learning style in the process of cognitive and metacognitive learning
Volf, Petr ; Vališová, Alena (referee) ; Krykorková, Hana (advisor)
The text of the thesis is focused on the theme of learning style and its position in the process of cognitive and metacognitive learning. The thesis contains theoretical concepts from given sphere and empirical research of the influence of approach to learning on the successful command of task of metacognitive training. In the introductory theoretical part, there are defined the terms of cognitive learning, perspective on problems from the point of view of different psychological schools; it also defies motivational sphere and performance predispositions as intervene variable. There are mentioned concrete systems of receiving and decoding information and their affect on the theory of learning style as a metacognitive factor. Pedagogical context deals with theories of education, which create the ground for practical use of knowledge, gained from empirical research. The second part of thesis contains the research, which surveys the correlation of successful processing of metacognitive interventions and preferred learning style. The research pointed out the potential possibility of changing the approach to learning by increasing the level of metacognitive skills and using the higher levels of thinking. It was also uncovered, that everybody is potentially able to enlarge the metacognitive skills, no matter what...

School phobia
ŘEHÁČKOVÁ, Irena
When we are thinking about entering the system of compulsory education in future, we project an image about how it should be like, about our future schoolmates, and then there comes the greatest surprise of all the teacher. Unfortunately, not everybody reaches the end of their time spent in school with success and without difficulties. The daughters of my respondents suffer from school phobia, which illustrates these issues. The topic of my thesis is School phobia. These issues may arise out of several causes. The child may be anxious not only about the school environment and associated dangers that await him or her there, but also about the teacher that might have made an inappropriate comments about the child. One of the other factors contributing to this phobia is separation anxiety. Child that suffers from separation anxiety cannot be separated from his or her mother. It is not only the child who may suffer from separation anxiety. This issue might be also rooted in the personality of mother or father. The aim of this bachelor thesis is to provide real-life information from mothers bringing up a child suffering from school phobia. Their testimonies should be able to provide an overview of the issues surrounding children with school phobia ? its origin, course of the disorder and, in the case of these particular respondents, also still to-be-solved treatment from health care specialists. This bachelor thesis is based on qualitative research. The collected information was acquired from answers from personal face-to-face semi-structured discussions with mothers of affected children. The beginning of the theoretical part of my diploma thesis focuses on general definition of basic concepts and topics associated with school phobia. What follows is a separate chapter dealing in detail with school phobia. This section focuses, among others, on the reasons for school phobia occurring caused by both parents and school staff. The topic of penultimate chapter is family. For example, I describe the family atmosphere-The last chapter deals with school and school maturity. What is also mentioned is the issue of bullying that may have a negative impact on school phobia. The research goal of the empirical part of this bachelor thesis is as to discover the ways parents and educators use to identify issues associated with school phobia in children, their approach towards this phobia and solutions. To achieve this goal, I have asked three key research questions: 1)How do parents identify school phobia issues in children? 2)What kind of approach parents adopt towards pupils suffering from school phobia? 3)What methods proved to be successful in dealing with school phobia issues? The answers to these research questions can be found in Interpretace výsledků (Interpretation of results) chapter that contains a lot of interesting information. One piece of interesting information is, for example, that while the causes of school phobia in daughters of my respondents were different, the issues associated with gradual development of school phobia have almost the same origins connected mainly to psychosomatical symptoms. The attitude of questioned mothers to their daughters´ issues is almost the same, and this also applies to the major and key attitude towards accepting the existence of their daughter´s school phobia and providing psychological support from family. The ways mothers tried to solve the issues connected to school phobia are also the same as far as the number of health care specialists they thought might help them are concerned. For all three daughters of respondents the situation is as follows: none of the said health care specialist was able to come with a reliable cure to school phobia.

Corporatization and outsourcing - ways to more effective public sector?
Němeček, Stanislav ; Gráf, Václav (advisor) ; Doležalová, Antonie (referee)
The aim of this bachelor thesis is to introduce specific problems which occur in the management of public sector organizations. We are going to compare distinct motivational factors that are typical both for managers and employees in civil offices and private companies. We will closely look at the method of corporatization, which brings managerial elements from private to public sector. Our next objective is to analyse outsourcing and his limits. Practical part of the work will focus on the results which were achieved by corporatization in Canadian public sector. Further we will evaluate the consequences of outsourcing on the example of urban mass transportation in Jablonec nad Nisou, Czech Republic. We will try to show the possibilities of cooperation between the city and private firm as business partners.

The Bachelor thesis on the topic of Local Elections and Formation of Self Administration captures the process of municipal elections and the post-election events in a selected village Skopytce. The thesis focuses primarily on municipal elections which took place in 2014. In the main part is an analysis of election results and voter turnout in 2014 and their comparison with the results of the elections in 2010. The thesis shows the problems of small communities with compiling lists of candidates, the post election cooperation between the elected representatives in relation to the establishment of self government. The thesis is trying to identify factors which influence the pre-election and post-election events in the village and tries to apply the classification of local models of democracy on the selected village.

The business models of IT startups based on sharing economy
Šimon, Petr ; Matuštík, Ondřej (advisor) ; Srpová, Jitka (referee)
The aim of this master thesis is to analyze the present condition of sharing economy and design a critical success factors model on a IT startups which operate as a transportation network companies. The result is finally validated on few representative businesses. The problem is solved by the modified qualitative critical success factors method whose author is John F. Rockart. The gained factors were finally used in the causal model which is based on the principles of system dynamics. The outcomes of this thesis are enabling to understand the relations which are hidden behind success of transportation network companies in the area of sharing economy. The information can be useful not only for startups but also for academic sphere and possible investors.

Economic policy of Italy in the context of contemporary evolution
Kozhenova, Oksana ; Žamberský, Pavel (advisor) ; Kalínská, Emílie (referee)
My thesis inquires into the structure of Italian economy. The goal was to reveal the main factors from the past which affected the contemporary economy of Italy. The Italian economy is specific for it's big number of small and medium enterprises. I analysed the role of this kind of enterprises in the economy and described the impact of financial crisis. The structural problems of this economy such as low level of competitiveness, demographic problem, rigid labour market etc. caused low economic growth and high indebtedness of the country. I tried to find the solutions the problems Italy faces in these days.

The world trade with the chosen commodity - Case study of the trade with the weapons
Potapov, Nikita ; Maitah, Mansoor (advisor) ; Anna, Anna (referee)
This thesis deals with the problems of the world arms trade. In the theoretical part are defined through literature and Internet sources basic definitions of weapons and military materials and explains the meaning of the foreign trade as a whole. It is also described in detail commodity and regional structure of world trade and the main indicators in the global arms trade. It also mentioned the most important exporters and importers on the international market and take into account the most important indicator of how military spending. The work also bars the legislative and the first trade arrangements with military equipment and technology. Another point of work is determined by the trend in the arms industry and its influencing factors. There are mentioned the most important trade partners and strongest companies in the armaments industry. The practical part also includes a small history of the arms industry of the Czech Republic in the global arms market, and said the most important products of the last century

Minimum Weight Triangulation (MWT)
Charvát, Pavel ; Kolingerová, Ivana (advisor) ; Ferko, Andrej (referee)
For a long time, it has been neither known whether MWT is solvable in a polynomial time nor whether it belongs to NP. As we now, its status still remain unknown. We present severalknown approaches to MWT such as modifications of the problem with known time complexity or various heuristics and approximations which allow us to find an exact or at least an approximate solution in a reasonable time. We compare the approximations in some particular situations. The main part of the work is devoted to a description and implementation of an efficient heuristic with (almost?) linear expected complexity for points uniformly distributed in some convex shape. The algorithm is a modification of Drysdale's algorithm for finding GT candidates and Beurouti's computation of the modified LMT-skeleton, where we add some proofs of the correctness. We are able to complete MWT from the graph of candidate edges in O(n · d3 + n · d2+k), where d is the the maximum degree and k is the maximum number of inner components of some skeleton face. Further, we suggest a new approximation of MWT with polynomial complexity in the worst case and (almost?) linear expected complexity, which only rarely differs from the optimal triangulation and has O(1) approximation factor in the worst case. This approximation combines the LMT-skeleton...

Algorithm for Calculation of Radiation View Factors
Bílek, Tomáš ; Hlavička, Rudolf (referee) ; Čermák, Libor (advisor)
This thesis deals with a calculation of radiation view factors. The thesis includes mathematical model of the problem and its numerical solution. The main aim of the thesis is the creation of an algorithm for calculation of radiation view factors for given 3D geometries and its application for the heat flux analysis. CAD models of geometries, specified by a NASTRAN file format, are used as an input of the algorithm. Matrix of radiation view factors serves then as an output of the algorithm. The algorithm is programmed in MATLAB, but STAR-CCM+ is used for the NASTRAN specification of separate models. The algorithm is also designed for a computation on a computer cluster for cases of intricate geometries with consideration of shading areas.
