Design of up-to-date laundry premise model
Marek, Tomáš ; Máša, Vítězslav (referee) ; Pavlas, Martin (advisor)
Scope of this thesis is the design and evaluation of a laundry processing facility. Main goal was to prepare, design and evaluate part of the technological layout for a modern, high-volume laundry processing facility. The focus was on the main apparatuses, main process flow, as well as the supporting process flow, related equipment and key components of field instrumentation with standard description. 3D facility model was prepared on the basis of proposed technological layout, using the SolidWorks software package. This model shows placement of all key equipment and components as well as physical disposition of connection tubing within the building. Final part of work reviews proposed options of process parameters measurement. Such measurements which are important for the evaluation of energy consumption of considered laundry processing. We discuss both pros and cons of evaluated and selected suitable measurement devices, tools and procedures. Constructed 3D model of piping lines shows placing and dimensions of selected measurement devices.

Volatilní úsměv
Stolbov, Anatoly ; Witzany, Jiří (advisor) ; Fičura, Milan (referee)
The thesis describes and applies two parametric option pricing models which partially ease the well-known discrepancy between real world and Black-Scholes model. Stochastic volatility and jumps encompassed by Heston and SVJ models explain implied volatility smile and its heterogeneous term-structure. Both models are calibrated to market data observed for EURUSD currency options on January 23, 2015. While SVJ model provided a better fit for the market, especially for mid-term expiry smile curvature, its estimated risk-neutral parameters were unrealistic comparing with their counterparts under statistical measure. Estimations suggest zero long term price volatility and 2 jumps during the year with average magnitude of 6 \%. Both models failed to match curvature of short time to expiry smile and provided a good fit of term-structure and long-expiry smile. Analysing delta ratios adjusted for non-constant volatility as a possible alternatives the study considered minimum variance delta estimated with Heston model, delta ratio recommended by Nassim Taleb and two deltas adjusted for local volatility assuming sticky moneyness and sticky tree dynamics of implied volatility. On data set of EURUSD options from 1.1.2014 to 30.5.2015, our research did not find any alternative which would be more reliable than common Black-Scholes delta.

Braun, Jaromír ; Žilka, Zdeněk ; Berka, Zbyněk
Flow of energy in the complex systems is the basic phenomenon of real communication systems. This phenomenon have to be taken into account in the theory of "black box model" of arbitrary dynamic system.

Development of tool for passive immunization of cystic fibrosis patients
Pacholíková, Lenka ; Hodek, Petr (advisor) ; Švédová, Martina (referee)
Cystic Fibrosis (CF) is one of the most common heriditary diseases. This congenital condition, caused by CFTR gene mutation, affects gastrointestinal and respiratory system especially. The affection of respiratory system is considered the most serious life-threatening symptom. Pacients suffer from reccurent infections proceeding to the development of chronic inflammation and progressive pulmonary tissue destruction. A typical specific microoganism colonizating pulmonary tissue of thouse suffering from CF is recognised as Pseudomonas aeruginosa. Pulmonary infections caused by this microorganism are the most often cause of death in patients suffering from CF. Antiobiotics are the first-line therapy of this condition currently. Nevertheless, the need to find alternatives occurs due to antibiotics resistance development. Passive immunization by specific hen-egg-yolk antibodies against P. aeruginosa is a possible alternative. An observation of IgY influence on a bacterial adhesion to pulmonary epithelial cells required an appropriate model. In this context an appropriate adhesion testing method based on P. aeruginosa and pulmonary epithelial cells visualisation was searched. At first bacterial cells labelling was tested by CellTracker, resazurin, FITC and consequently PKH 26. P. aeruginosa fluorescent...

Emergent properties of the G1/S network

Removal of residual stress in thin sheets by tension leveling
Dymáček, Martin ; Návrat, Tomáš (referee) ; Petruška, Jindřich (advisor)
Tension leveling is a process used in the steel industry in order to eliminate any shape imperfections of cold-rolled thin strips. The master thesis deals with developing a computer program that generates basic parameters of tension leveling line. The theoretical part of the thesis summarizes the types of the shape imperfections in strips, their causes and the principles of their elimination. This part also presents the mechanism of tension leveling and describes the present-day design of tension levelers. The practical part of the thesis starts with an analytical description of stress-strain behaviour of strip during tension leveling (supposing the simplified conditions). A computer program that allows devising basic parameters of tension leveling line is created on the basis of these analytical relations. The program results are successfully verified by numerical model based on the finite element method (FEM) created in the program ANSYS. Then the interdependencies of certain input and output parameters of created program are determined. These interdependencies can be used as effective design of tension leveling lines.

Male and female aspect from a transcultural point of view (gender, sexuality, culture)
Poláková, Markéta ; Opletalová, Lenka (referee) ; Soukup, Václav (advisor)
The theme of this diploma work is a theoretic analyse of relation among human sexuality, gender and culture. The text consists of three parts. The first part is focused on a brief analyse of selected topics of intimate and family live, which people face in almost every culture. Especially the topics such as an attitude to menstruation, virginity, passage rites, marriage, incest and homosexuality. The second, the most extensive part, contains historical journey from paleolit up to Islamic culture, in which changes in a look at woman and man in context of sexual morals stated at certain time and place can be seen. Society sexual morals - standard sexual behaviour - can be connected with religion beliefs. Most religions have deemed necessary to state the "proper" role for sexuality in human interactions. Different religions have different codes of sexual morality, which regulate sexual actictity or determine standards and sanctions after 101 breaking the standards actions or thoughts. In paleothic and neolithic time, woman as a symbol of fertility and adoration can be seen but with a passage from agricultural level of cereals producers to ploughs agriculture, man becomes more and more equivalent (and later superior) to woman. The last part is dedicated to examples of chosen authors from both biological and...
