Surface modification of glass fibers for polymer composites

The doctoral thesis is aimed at preparation of glass fiber reinforced polymer composites with controlled interphase formed by plasma-polymerized tetravinylsilane and tetravinylsilane/oxygen thin films. The thin polymer films of specific physico-chemical properties and thickness were deposited to improve interfacial adhesion of glass fiber/polyester composites. The fiber surface modification was performed by using plasma enhanced chemical vapor deposition in low-temperature RF plasma operating in an various effective power range and different treatment time. Test results were examined in relation to the interlayer thickness and different treatment conditions. The prepared interlayers were analyzed to evaluate physico-chemical composition and properties (XPS, RBS, ERDA, FTIR and spectroscopic elipsometry). Selected mechanical properties were evaluated by AFM. Mechanical response of plasma interlayers was evaluated by short beam shear test and direct method of testing the interfacial shear strength using microindentation. The interphase shear failure was controlled by the shear strength at the interlayer/fiber interface as follows from experimental and model data.

Environmental Friendly Accommodation in a Particular Area

Theme of thesis is environmentally friendly accommodation in Trebon and surroundings. The main objective is to identify friendly approaches in the accommodation offers in the friendly area and assess the significance of friendly approaches in the strategy of companies, which offer accommodation. From the survey, in which respondents' interest was investigated in environmentally friendly accommodation, was created demand analysis and based on Internet resources and unstructured interviews analysis of the supply of accommodation. From the observed results were determined proposals and measures for improvement.

Strategy marketing in a chosen company

The aim of the thesis is to suggest a marketing strategy for a specific company, including the marketing plan in order to deal with possible changes resulting from the current situation. Strategic marketing process, which is based on the strategic management process consists of planning, implementation and control. On the basis of marketing situational analysis SWOT analysis was set up, marketing objectives were defined, strategies were formulated and a marketing plan was suggested. The implementation of a plan is a part of an implementation phase. Finally, the interim results were evaluated and possible changes were proposed, which should lead to the achievement of the planned outputs at the end of the period.

Implementation of enterprise information system in the selected company

This thesis deals with the implementation of enterprise information system in the selected company. The theoretical part provides information from the field of information systems, which are complemented by the analysis of internal and external environment, the strengths and weaknesses, and the method of selection of the information system. In the practical part briefly describes the selected information system and the company, where the information system was implemented. Furthermore, the current information system is analyzed by the HOS 8 method, from which the targets for the implementation of a new information system was set. At the end of the practical part I will compare the system before implementation and the system after implementation with the HOS 8 analysis, which is the main goal of this thesis.

The retail space management

The aim of this bachelor thesis is to map the space management of a selected retail unit, which is Jednota, in Kamenice nad Lipou, and propose changes interpreted through the new model. The theoretic part is focused on a concept - space management. An important part of space management includes the areas of merchandising, purchasing behaviour, shopping atmosphere and a store layout. These concepts contain possible strategies by which the sellers display their goods, optimally organize floor space and improve retail environment in a shop. The practical part is concentrated on the customer satisfaction with the arrangements of selling space. A marketing research analyses and evaluates on the basis of a questionnaire the customer satisfaction. Finally, bachelor thesis includes a new model of the business unit with proposed alterations in the store.

Communication in chosen organization

The aim of this thesis is the evaluation of the level of communication and the proposing of some changes that can result to the improvement of communicational processes.General communication process and its function in the organization is thoroughly described in the theoretical part of this thesis by means of literary resources.The practical part of the thesis focuses on the particular communication process in the firm named ABL Tools in Písek.The analysis is based on basic methods, such as: interrogation, observation and interviewing. Conclusions of the analysis and results will be provided to the manager of ABL Tools. These suggestions could be useful as a guideline to improve a current level of communication processes in the organization.

Charity Projects of Organizations Providing Care for Children with Disabilities in South Bohemia

The bachelor thesis "Charity Projects of Organisations Providing Care for Children with Health Disability in the Region of South Bohemia" deals with those projects that were founded by non-profit organisations and that provide care for children with health disability in the Region of South Bohemia. The aim of this thesis is to chart the charity projects of above mentioned organisations and to find out what is a proper and effective way to create them and what methods and procedures are used by non-state, non-profit organisations. The first research inquiry refers to a successful implementation of these projects. The result will be not only a realisation what kind of projetcs were created by the above mentioned organisations but also what is important for an organisation itself. Within the bounds of the second research inquiry I find out wheather there is an optimal procedure for the implementation of the charity projects of non-state, non-profit organisations. A qualitative method was used for a research part of this thesis. I used a method of a half-structured interview, a technique of a personal interview. A research group was selected for bringing the research into practice, which includes nine organisations seleceted from non-state, non-profit organisations providing a care for health disabled children in the Region of South Bohemia. It is more difficult for non-state, non-profit organisations it this field to obtain enough finances for providing services and for obtaining necessary aids than for state non-profit organisations because of different ways of fundraising . A non-state, non-profit organisation has several possibilities how to obtain necessary material and non-material sources. There are charity projects that offer means of selfless help; provided they are successful, they help the organisation to obtain necessary sources. It emerged from the research that it was very important for non-state, non-profit organisations to get a multi-source fundraising and supporters of their projects, mainly donors and sponsors, to obtain available care for children with heath disability. On the basis of the research, it is possible to state that non-state, non-profit organisations providing care for children with health disability, implemented many successful projects. The results of this thesis can be used in the way of an informative material for setting a complete view of a solution of the problems of the above mentioned organisations projects.

Scattering of Sun Radiation on Microparticles in a Closed Environment of Water Bath

This thesis deals with an alternative technology used to illuminate spaces without access to daylight. Technology uses primarily scattering and also reflection and refraction of sunlight in the optical environment of the PET bottles with water and microparticles. The base of technology consists of a plastic bottle filled with water with microparticles and positioned so that it vertically penetrates the roof interior. The effect of scattering of sunlight in the bottle is amplified by using a suitable material of the microparticles.
Review of literature deals with areas that the technology is primarily designed for and the current state of expansion. The principle of technology and factors affecting its efficiency are explained.
The aim of the experiment was limited testing and selection of suitable material of microparticles and their concentration for the possibility of practical use within the technology described. Several measurements were performed of the intensity ratio of incident and scattered light using selected materials of microparticles of various concentrations. Based on the obtained values and their comparison a solution containing 0.5 g of limestone into 1.5 l of water was selected as the most suitable optical environment for the solution.

Effect of dairy cows housing technology on mastitis occurrence

The objective of my bachelor thesis was evaluation of quality of housing, milking and making analysis of mastitis on chosen farm.
First part of the thesis contains of literature summary about housing technologies, mastitis issues, their detection, originators, therapy and factors affects against their incidence. Thereafter is this part focused on tipes of milking parlours, corect milking procedures and mechanized milking.
Materials and methodes of the thesis contains the characteristics of chosen farm where the quality and technology of housing, milking and nutrition of milk cows and other factors affecting presence of mastitis such as taking care of cloven hooves was watched in 2014. The incidence, detection and curation of mastitis was watched afterwards. Montamilk s.r.o. farm cradles 1,200 pieces of cattle and milk cows are about 419 out of it.
In the part of thesis named results was watched and evaluated inspection of efficiency in inspecting year 2013 - 2014, which was stated on first lactated cows and on cows which are on second and further lactation. Milk yield was far better with cows on second or futher lactation according to data gathered during the study and expressed by diagram. Diagram of milk components (fat and proteins), which was divided by lactation, was expressed in this part too. Other examinated parameters was occurrence of mastitis - which milk cows, in which season is the occurrence more often, treatment and cost of treatment for one cow. At the end the number of somatic cells for 2014 was represented in diagram for particular lactations.
In part of thesis called discusion the comparison was drowed between results from chosen farm and national average of efficiency checks. From results is obvious that milk cow in Mnotamilk has been better in first lactated cows by 427 kg and in second and more lactated cows by 602 kg than is the avarage in Czech republic.
Far more the milk components in Montamilk was compared with rest of Czech republic and the results was quite similar. The volume of fat of Montamilk cows was lower in every lactation in comparison with milk cows from Czech. Value of fat in Czech republic avarage first lactated cows is 3,87 % in Montamilk 3,85 % and the value of fat on second and more lactation cows is 3,86 % in Czech average and 3,81 % in Montamilk.

The influence of time in feed enrichment with unsaturated fatty acids to selected parameters of pig carcass value with regard to the fatty acid composition of intramuscular fat

The thesis aims to evaluate the impact of aliment with higher contents of unsaturated fatty acids, consumed for a different period of time, to utilitarian attributes of pigs before a slaughter, with respect to the composition of fatty acids in the intramuscular fat of tested animals.
The factors that influence the quality of meat are interior, exterior and technological. Among the qualitative markers of quality of meat we rank the share of meat and fat, acidification rate, color, viscosity, contents of intramuscular fat (marbling), smell, taste, juiciness and delicacy. Together with hygienic and nutritive attributes, consumers and processors consider these technological and sensory aspects to be the most important.
The ultimate goal of this thesis is to compare the impact of different length of feeding soy oil on parameters of pork meat quality and growth.
However, the interference of growth attributes was inconclusive and the test result came similar in different groups of tested pigs.
What was influenced by adding the soy oil into the feed is the fatty acids profile. The contents of fatty acids remained unchanged in every test group. Over time the content of monounsaturated fatty acids decreased. The most significant change occurred in representation of polyunsaturated fatty acids, which increased in the test groups with longer period of feeding with enriched feed, mostly at the expense of monounsaturated fatty acids.
The differences between the test groups of pigs were statistically inconclusive; therefore the soy oil enrichment did not worsen the technological parameters of meat and fat quality.
The longer period of feeding the soy oil enriched feed led to significant increase in polyunsaturated fatty acids. According to the findings, adding the soy oil into the feed will have no effect at all if done short time before the slaughter.
